Looks yummy.......It's New Years Day here and that is when our extended family get together for lunch. I am in charge of desserts and I have done what U do and make it on a budget......I made a apricot cobbler from the fruit on my tree and a healthy banana bread because I have fresh bananas left over from Xmas.
The price on eggs has been high,for three years, it's crazy. I make chili with taco mix,and it comes out delicious. God bless you all, and Happy New Year.

Hi Corina! I love the chili made with the McCormick seasoning packets, and I add extra beans cause I LOVE beans. That cucumber appetiser looks delish! I would love that and I also love dill. Yummy!!!!
Hi Corinna and Glen. Happy New Year! I hope that you had a good Christmas. I prefer beans in my chili and I also make a lower sodium version with ground turkey usually 90/10. My sister and her family like a chili mac type chili, but they do add beans. I think they keep it real simple by using canned Chili Man Chili with lean beef and beans adding browned ground beef, sauteed onions, heat it up and that it. Some eat it just plain, others add the cooked macaroni. It's very good either way. You said you use stewed tomatoes in Glen's chili, but it looked like a can of Rotel Diced tomatoes hot. Stewed tomatoes usually have sugar added. The dill/cucumber spread looks delicious, I may try it.

The cucumber on the sounds good. I like seedless rye and I also like pumpernickel bread. All the appetizers sound good.
