I used to be a gymrat musclehead. Now I'm 57, a Trucker, and have no desire whatsoever to go to the gym. Solution: Upon waking, I put my headphones on, listen to motivational material & do about 4 sets of 30 strict push-ups. I used a light dumbell/kettleball to get the rest of the body (squats, rows, presses, lateral raises). That all takes about 30-40 min daily. I always start b4 5am while everyone is still in their trucks. Throughout the day, I'll drop for an occasional 30 reps. I probably get in around 200 strict push-ups total daily. For me, it's a mental edge. I begin each day positive & feeling good. Not to mention my bod's pretty decent for my age. Best wishes to all. 👊🏾😉
The problem with pushups is I dont think people go all the way down and back up. Instead I see people claiming to do a lot of pushups doing half pushups.
Gotta inform yourself before speaking, it’s different variations of push ups. When you short jab or “half push ups” you’re focusing on your chest since it’s keeping tension on that particular part. When you go all the way down and lock out it transfers to the shoulders a lot more. Be outside the box when working out.🤙🏾
From an experienced point of view . Be careful with this . Don’t assume that pushups are the #1 go to for isometric exercise . YOU WILL develop a shoulder impingement if you don’t train your back as well . Pull ups are a great exercise to negate the effects of pushups . I’m not of the idea that doing push ups every day is a good idea at all , especially if you’re doing them to failure . If you notice a sharp pain develop in the front of your shoulders this is the first sign that your routine is out of balance . Not necessarily that your over training you just aren’t training the opposing muscles enough .

I do different kinds of push ups 3 times a week. Mainly One Arm pushups and Pseudo planche push up since it's the most challenging for me right now. Normal pushups only serves a warm up for me now.
Pushing yourself with tough push-ups is great, but make sure you’re not skipping the basics. Overdoing it could lead to injury, so balance it out and listen to your body.
You are right all the way.. I went to prison and was doing 12 sets until failure everyday for chest.. along with pull ups. skull crushers. upside down pushups and curls.. but at first I was only doing pushups until failure.. bro I still do mine and my chest is big bro real shit I don't weigh a lot but I have a lot of muscle.. failure is key.. people used to ask me how many do you do? I say as many as I can EVERYTIME.. I can hit 80+ my first set no problem.. started out struggling for 40
Doing 10 sets of 10 reps every hour for 8 hours might seem like a novel way to stay active, but it's more likely to do harm than good when it comes to building real strength and balance. First off, your muscles grow during recovery, not constant stimulation. Without giving them the proper rest, you're risking overtraining, which can lead to injury and fatigue rather than progress. Additionally, this approach lacks intensity, spreading out sets dilutes the challenge needed to actually force muscle adaptation. And let’s be honest, interrupting your day every hour sounds exhausting mentally, not just physically. Wouldn't it be better to focus on a well-structured workout routine where you can apply progressive overload and have designated recovery times? Squats and lunges deserve focused attention, not scattered efforts that may compromise form over time. More isn’t always better; it’s about working smarter, not just harder.
Come on, it’s pretty obvious! If you’re feeling pain in your inner arm after doing push-ups, you’ve got to be doing something wrong. Maybe your form is off, or you’re overdoing it without giving your muscles a break. You need to figure this out instead of just pushing through the pain!
I do 100 per day... spread out over 2-3 times. I'm up to 57 for my first set. Occasionally I'll finish the hundred in the second set, but usually I need that third set. By the way, I wouldn't call bench pressing a compound exercise. 5:45
I used to do 100 push-ups during my job shift back in the days. Then turned it to 1000 a day, didn’t aim for sets but long as I got 1000 out of myself throughout the day. Might be cooking and stop and randomly knockout some
You NEVER workout the same muscles two days in a row. RECOVERY from the prior workout is when the BUILDING of hypertrophy / strength takes place. Anyone who tells you differently is either a scammer trying to sell you something or is just ignorant. For most ppl, hitting a muscle group twice per week is sufficient. Trying not to injure yourself should be of utmost concern…
Look at the physique of a typical world class gymnast.. Some of those guys are built better than bodybuilders.. And for them there are no rest days, many of them train 7 days a week
For a lot of people who have reasonably large bench presses doing pushups everyday is no different than a marathon runner taking a slow jog on a rest day. Yes you need time for your muscles to recover and you cant max your bench everyday the same you cant run a marathon everyday. But you can use pushups on off days as long as you alternate between intense workouts and lighter workouts on recovery days. Everyones body is different but a lot of people can get good results from working out everyday.
The level of training it takes to negatively affect training the same muscle two days in a row, most folks can’t do. So the reality is, most folks can train the same muscle two days in a row. This mantra and train of thought your spewing, which by the way, is merely a copy and paste position, just does not apply to the majority of average folks working out. If your training like Arnold, than yes, training the same muscle two days in a row is not going to help, but the guy sitting at a computer or working as a cashier is not training at that level. Your position only applies to a small population of individuals.

Seriously? 4 sets of 25 push-ups every night? That’s just asking for injury! You can’t keep pushing your body like that without proper recovery. It's reckless!
Glad it's working for you! But over time, without giving your muscles proper recovery, it might catch up to you. Just watch out for any signs of strain or injury - prevention is always better than recovery though.
I didn't want to hear the science.I just wanted to know how many push ups couldn't listen to all that c***How many push-ups? I will check back in the comments
It depends on your fitness level. Beginners might start with 10-15 push-ups per set, intermediates with 20-30, and advanced can aim for 40-50 or more per set.
Until failure, your body will react to the amount of work done by the muscle, micro-fissures will happen and if you eat enough protein, new muscle tissue will grow at the fissures, making the muscle bigger and stronger, you'll probably notice that the amount of reps until failure will increase, thats new muscle for you, repeat until desired muscle size, also work with other exercises like bench, squats and all else. Remember that your muscle grows during rest/sleep, regarding protein amount, try 1.2~1.7 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight per day, or 0.5 ~ 0.8 grams per pound of body weight. Also drink more water.
Doing 500 push-ups a day, every single day? Honestly, that’s not the smartest idea. First off, your muscles need time to recover, or you’re just asking for burnout and injuries. Plus, who decided push-ups are the ultimate exercise anyway? Focusing only on one move daily won’t give you balanced results. You’ll probably end up with a sore chest and weak legs. Want real progress? Mix it up, take rest days, and stop thinking more is always better. It's not.
It's generally recommended to wait 48 hours between intense push-up workouts to allow for proper muscle recovery and growth. However, doing a moderate amount of push-ups daily can still be beneficial for building endurance and maintaining strength, as long as you listen to your body and avoid overtraining.

locked in prison?
I think the guy who posted it should do some pushups
Love from srilanka ❤️
160 pushups a day it takes to grow muscles
Dude wtf 50 is low😳😳 I can only do 60 thats when I start shaking n my arms start feeling tired😳ima try to go till they drop them dam 200 wtf
I do 4 sets of 25 push ups seven days a week before bed.
Seriously? 4 sets of 25 push-ups every night? That’s just asking for injury! You can’t keep pushing your body like that without proper recovery. It's reckless!
@@GrowMuscle6893 Maybe for you but not me.
Glad it's working for you! But over time, without giving your muscles proper recovery, it might catch up to you. Just watch out for any signs of strain or injury - prevention is always better than recovery though.
Doing just as little as30 a day will change ur body. So imagine doing 100 to 300 a day

Until faliure.....thats hiw many.
I didn't want to hear the science.I just wanted to know how many
push ups couldn't listen to all that c***How many push-ups? I will check back in the comments
It depends on your fitness level. Beginners might start with 10-15 push-ups per set, intermediates with 20-30, and advanced can aim for 40-50 or more per set.
@@GrowMuscle6893 my favorite chest workout ever
So I'm a beginner. So how many push ups a day to build muscle? 10-15?
@@wintertaz5101until faliure
Just don't count!! My way!!!
I use a lot of steroids. Thank you.
Should you do them every day or skip a day to allow your muscles time to heal and grow?
He said 48 hours of rest in the video 6:20
@@KNIGHTJUMPS Thanks
I will do only 15 push up
How many push ups does a 12 year old need to do?
Stop saying a day. Start saying a workout it should be 400-500 a workout
1st viewer
1000 25 min a day
i do 1000 every morning
I do 5000 a day no problem
I can’t do 1😂😂😂😂😢
500 a day every day
Doing 500 push-ups a day, every single day? Honestly, that’s not the smartest idea. First off, your muscles need time to recover, or you’re just asking for burnout and injuries. Plus, who decided push-ups are the ultimate exercise anyway? Focusing only on one move daily won’t give you balanced results. You’ll probably end up with a sore chest and weak legs. Want real progress? Mix it up, take rest days, and stop thinking more is always better. It's not.
So should you do push ups everyday or should you wait 48hrs in between??
It's generally recommended to wait 48 hours between intense push-up workouts to allow for proper muscle recovery and growth. However, doing a moderate amount of push-ups daily can still be beneficial for building endurance and maintaining strength, as long as you listen to your body and avoid overtraining.
None. Do bench press instead once a week
I do 5000 a day
I'm up to 5002 myself
Turn to Jesus people he died for your sins. Repent of what the New testament describes as sin. Believe the gospel get baptized and obey the teachings of Jesus. The gospel and the teachings of Jesus are documented in Matthew Mark Luke and John. Jesus is the only way to be saved God bless you all. If you have faith in Jesus through your faith you will live life with him as your example..,
lost and programed
Amen
He died for his people Israel not all nations. And the old Testament is not done away with just the covenant of animal sacrifice. And btw the Israelites are the blacks Hispanics and Native Americans. He was only sent to the Lost sheep of the house of Israel because we have been scattered and we have lost our identity
@@Slyrock-1000 he give his life for everyone that’s why the bible say until the gospel reach every Corner of the earth then shall he come.he give his life so all can repent and turn from sin.
The choice is yours
@Meta-llicana that's not what he says. He says he died for his people Israel and the kingdom is for the children of Israel who have been scattered through slavery throughout the world that's why the Bible is around the world.
Matthew 1:21
" And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins. "
Acts 5:30-31 KJVAAE
[30] The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew and hanged on a tree. [31] Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.
Acts 1:6
" When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel? "
Joel 2:27
"And ye shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am the Lord your God, and none else: and my people shall never be ashamed."
Matthew 15:24, 26
"But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel. But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs."
