The ToneRite fatigues the strings, so new strings need to be put on the guitar to get an accurate idea of the sound improvement. Also what seems to improve the sound is after putting the ToneRite on for 140 hours with full vibration is then put it on for another 72 hours at 1/2 vibration power. This sweetens the sound of the top end of the guitar. Another idea which I got from John Larivee is the idea that whatever notes are played more frequently on a guitar will sound better, so hence I also tried put the capo in two positions on the guitar so all 12 Chromatic notes would get equal vibration on the guitar. The sound change was absolutely incredible and amazing!!! I know that some people are sceptical about the ToneRite claiming a much improved sound...but in my experience having used it in all my guitars I really beg to differ!! I do not work for ToneRite and make this endorsement on my own initiative.

This thing works. Have one and used it on 2 acoustics and they both sound more alive and resonant. I hear a big difference on this Martin.

When did the Tonerite make a difference?
The video does not really explain when the Tone-rite was used and how it affected the guitar

Every piece was played twice. Before and after I guess.

Hi I have a brand new standard Martin D18. Do you recommend using Tone Rite and for how many days on what settings? Thanks

You can check out these two posts. I don't have enough experience to recommend, I borrowed it from a friend and tested just for fun.

    First of all:
    1. Stop the Fan - or /AC in the background!
    2. Use a separate mic instead of the built in camera mic.
    3. Ideally - Use a recorder with a Manual Volume level control to record the Sustain length correctly. An Auto Volume strengthens the weak sounds and supresses the strong sounds.
Itś Impossible to judge this test As Is.
Your playing is done on two different days which affects the result. The strings have of course been used quite heavy when You start playing them Day 2.
Also: When using a premium Martin guitar that already sounds - lets say at 90% of its optimal potential, any betterment is only possible within the remaning 10%. So - to prove any audible betterment from the ToneRite You really should apply it to a consumer guitar in the 4-500 USD price level.
Honestly - I did not hear any "Great difference". Your Martin Guitar maybe sounded faintly "different", not Better, Day 2 - because of the things I've listed above.
