October 21st 2005 is a historic date for every NIGHTWISH fan - many tears flowed, yet the foundation was laid for a new beginning and the ongoing continuity of the band. What subsequently appeared as the DVD titled End Of An Era was not only the final show of their mega-selling "Once" tour, but also the very last joint performance with their singer Tarja Turunen. Due to all of these facets and more, the DVD will give you goose bumps many times over, yet it crowns the end of the Tarja chapter with a unique show that could hardly have been better or more spectacular. The setlist is stunning and contains 18 hymns, such as the opening "Dark Chest Of Wonders," "Sleeping Sun," "Nemo" and "Bless The Child" through to the final "Wish I Had An Angel". If you do not already own this live masterpiece, you can now look forward to the extensive new edition.
On December 7th, End Of An Era will be re-released as 3LP and Earbook formats including BluRay, 2CD and 3LP.

Another gem. Tarja makes it otherworldly beautiful, delicate, emotional, balanced and powerful. She lets the song shine and the composition be the main focus. These videos have been taking me down memory lane. Can't believe how long ago this has been. Wish Tarja would sing this one again.

True, that comparing is also totally pointless. Everyone has their own preferences. Someone likes Jaguar, others prefer Aston Martin or Ferrari. Someone could really enjoy all of them.

The music, the orchestra, the sounds, the band, the singer sounded wider, powerful, darker, feeling and sharing the meaning of the song, not the full of sweetness nightwish is nowadays. No matter if the new singer tries to look like a warrior with her cloths and her height , she doesn't represent one with her voice, all the songs sounds the same now. And for a last "hit" at the end, that was previously recorded by violins in the original song, it doesn't make it any special either, or screaming all over the song to get people attention, not letting us enjoy the magical masterpiece this song is. Thank you Tarja for been such a strong, humble, and versatile singer.
We have the same vision . By all means Floor is an outstanding singer. I honestly think given the band's current direction, she is the perfect fit. The past is the past. The dead boy's magic with haunting dark lyrical vocals is gone. Back to the song. The new version is good but it completely overwhelmed the composition. Now, what do people seek or get from it? The unnecessary belt at the end. Do they even care to watch it all or do they fast forward it to the end? Even Floor these days feels it. The responsibility and stress to be bigger than the song itself, ruined it for me. It was interesting to see her take but it got old fast because the original is in perfect harmony. It is perfect and balanced and I don't even mean the EOAE performance. But the overall effect and mystic of Tuomas lyrics and Tarja's vocals were a match made in heaven. I honestly think it was completely unnecessary to re-release this and awaken the turmoil. Nuclear blast is just trying to cash in at their expense. That cow can still be milked, it seems.

la primer cancion que aprendi en guitarra, el grupo por el que conoci el rock, el primer grupo de rock que me gusto y me volvi fan, floor es buena pero.... tarja es tarja, me sigue gustando el grupo y mucho, y se que relanzaran el dvd de este concierto remasterizado el 7 de este mes, y aunque han cambiado, todas sus etapas son buenas, y nevalainen se extraña en la bateria, kai hanto como que no se no me termino de acostumbrar el estilo de jukka nevalainen es o era genial le aportaba mucha emocion a las canciones en vivo

i know everyone argues over which is better, but just as good, they are just different.
when you get to the "bring me home, or leave me be" part it stands out, that floor has the much clearer voice, you can understand with ease what she is saying, tarja's isn't as clear, but is much more operatic sounding. again both great for different reasons.

I feel that Tarja has a much richer, deeper and more complete vocal expression. It almost seems a bit easier for Tarja to perform the song itself. I'm sure that's the case, because of the richness it is capable of bringing out, the timbre of its tone, it seems a little more relaxed

to be honest I don't understand why they would re-release material from 13 years ago, while there have been 2 new singers already.. That aside, it doesn't make sense either to have 3 versions of Ghost Love Score named "OFFICIAL LIVE VIDEO"... rather have re-released a different song.
