Whenever I take another listen to this song, I get that feeling of bitter sweet nostalgia that comes with having watched Marble Hornets and finished it a little over a year ago. When I started it, I never imagined that I'd get so into it, and that it would become such a large part of my life.

*Madame Macabre, If you've seen Marble Hornets then why is the Masky in your Seer series timid and sensitive? I'm just curious as to what lead to this decision for his character. I do, however, appreciate that you introduced that he has a dark side.
+Chris Crago The Seer was never meant to be a realistic representation of any of the characters. It was always a tongue and cheek AU. (That's why almost everyone introduced in it acted differently than their actual personalities.) I purposely made him so out of character BECAUSE it was so out of character and my friends and I found it amusing. (Just like how Jeff is a cheeky stinker instead of straight up murdering everyone.) However, as the series grew less and less people were aware of it's intention as a completely whimsical AU project. I tried stating these things by the actual pages of the comic, but I guess that didn't really reach people. :/

He cant kill, while he can mentally change people into getting aggressive enough, to kill others To see the main differences between The Operator and Slenderman from the other mythos and webseries is: The Operator is tall, really thin, wearing a black suit, always with a black tie, and black hands or its wearing black gloves. Slenderman, however, is tall, and thin, yeah, but if you look at Slendermans/Administrators body from TribeTwelve, and compare it to The Operator's body from Marble Hornets, you can defeniatly see the difference. Slenderman has red ties in some cases, and no gloves/white hands. Slenderman causes visual tearing, and so does the Operator, but the Operator causes alot more. Slenderman seems to be a godly being, from another dimension if your looking at the webseries variant of him, but the Operator doesnt, and to me, atleast, acts almost animalistic, but somewhat aware and clever. The Operator causes mental change, but cant fully control his victims, while Slenderman can (As Proxies.) Also, about their body: Slenderman has tentacles, but in the whole of Marble Hornets, the Operator never shows tentacles - he doesnt have tentacles - Slenderman, in the webseries atleast, often has his arms close to his body, while the Operators arms are widly spread. Thats my take on it, atleast The Slender Man-shapeshifter, enjoys pain very much (sadomasochist), kills victims by mauling and mutulating them, aggressive, cruel to animals, targets children, hides in extremely secluded areas, can change wether he's visible or not, seems to have effect on spacetime and reality, appears to be an otherworldly or even godly entity The Operator-distinct appearance (you know him, it's too long to explain), as tall as a tall human, rarely moves, prefers teleporting, emits electromagnetic radiation thus manipulating electronic equipment and messing with the human brain, causes abrupt bleeding, non-aggressive, rather a paranoia inducing stalker, kills victims by either making them bleed out due to his radiation or teleporting somewhere unknown, targets adults, doesn't target animals, seems to be a flesh and blood being and behaves in an animalistic manner also dont forget that they both act differently and look a bit different dont also forget they both have different logic dont also forget that THAT MH TAKES PLACE IN A UNIVERSE THAT IS DIFFERENT AND SLENDERMAN DOES NOT EXIST also wanna know why they called him the operator believe me it is way more then you expect

Tim's character arc _(heh)_ is so goddamn sad. He spent his whole life ostracized, run through the mud by everything around him. People he trusted, who were all he had. But at the end of it all, everyone he ever had is dead as a doornail. To wit:
Jay's Operator sickness drove him to madness, and his perception was so warped that he sought to kill Tim, the only help- the only _companion-_ he had left. Apparently, his number came up instead. Tim's last friend? Dead.
Brian as the hooded man may have been playing pretty much everyone, but he was still an undeniable help in dealing with Alex and the shituation as a whole. Also, let's not forget, *he was Tim's first friend, **_ever._* And whether he meant to drop him or not, Tim's hands are where Brian's blood dries.
Noticing a pattern? This doesn't even begin to cover the clusterfuck that is Tim's (lifelong!) Operator sickness, along with his early life of seclusion, delusions, and fear. The man's life is so rough it could blister sandpaper.
And fuck if I don't choke up considering it all. Contrary to the series' final words, everything is *_not_* fine.

fine spoiler masky and hoody true identity is that of Tim and Brian they are both friends when Tim stops being masky Brian stalks Tim and jay while it a bit unclear it suggest either he working against slenderman or under his influence well Tim chases hoody through several teleportation until hoody falls from what looks like a 2 or 3 story window and is then well thought to have died from the fall but that wasn't the case and he was in pain and then tortured by Alex till Brian finally died
