And that other person is Toriel, who wanted Sans to protect Frisk. The only time you fight sans is in the end of the genocide route, because she wishes to defend anyone left, and to do that, he must break the promise.

The animation in this has to be one of my favorites ever by Coda. You can really see his progression in his animations over the years and I just love how well-done his models have become. Coda's personality and humor really shines through in these videos; I nearly shat myself seeing hyper-realistic Sans at 0:31 tbh

undertale is a game that is very difficult to replay, replaying it is like selling your soul, admitting that your first playthrough was "worthless" it's such a good fucking line
you could prefer the old one, that’s fine, but we can still objectively say that a lot more effort was put into this one compared to the old one just by looking at them, no matter which one you personally like better
I love that, story-wise, the video is repeatable and coherent. When Frisk dies at the end, they reset; thus at the beginning, Sans says "alright, here we go again..."

I personally am a part of a rather non-judgemental, funny group. At 2:14, the subtle movements that sans makes is amazing, the camera trying to stay stable as papyrus moves around. It is just fantastic! Great work! 👍
Is it just me or does the animation style remind me of that Garfield show? Especially sans. The way he walks almost reminds of of how Garfield himself did not to forget most of the time sans is so over serious in most depictions its hard to take him seriously but here he was mostly comical so that when he was serious it felt that much more chilling

It's not as personal because it's not about you. In this version he is looking directly at you. Just you and him at a table in the dark. If you understand what has happened up to this point, if you have done a genocide run, and you know what him sitting next to the door means to him and the story it makes it even more personal. Especially since Sans is one of the characters aware of resets and deaths. He isn't talking to Frisk or your character. He's talking to YOU and the decisions YOU have made up to this point. It makes you have to think about your actions or past actions in the game. It's him threatening you to not kill anyone ever.
Recently got back into Undertale and have been listening to the original on repeat, hearing it remastered and with a completely new spin on the animation is amazing! Great work on this and props to the animators!
I've spent a while saying that 3d undertale animations aren’t that good and 2d is where this fandom shines… but OH MAN You guys knocked this one out of the park! The animation is so professional and fits To The Bone so well. The models are incredible as well and look very faithful. This is just evidence that we NEED an Undertale TV show/movie. This is so smoothly animated, and has the quality of a good Pixar film. It doesn’t even have to be official, but still. These characters are too good to not be in a show. Edit: jeez man I only meant like a TV show of the true pacifist route epilogue.
I just love the small intecrate details on the good ol' skelly bros, like sans wearing gloves and socks as opposed to the more fan interpreted version. Same goes for Papyrus actually wearing these black stockings over his bones, which just tells me how much care and thought was put into these models, since they are as accurate as they can be

The true masterpiece of "To The Bone" is that it maintains a cheery upbeat theme while also showing the darker side frequently and also adding references to more hidden parts of the game, and the new animations emphasizes all of what i've said further, and they got @CodaAnim to animate it as well. I love how Coda animated Sans' head movement before the awesome scenery change to the judgement hall and I also love how they animated Frisk's knife slashes synced to the lyrics in a way that, I don't know if it makes sense to you, makes sense in my mind. The deepened voice voice of Sans at 4:28 is so good. In the game, you don't hear his voice at all when his eyes go black. Here, you can hear his voice while his eyes are corrupted with his *voice* also being distorted. It's such a good detail, because in the game, it doesn't feel like you are talking to Sans when he does this expression. Truly why you should always be afraid when Sans gets down to business.
I love how sans is portrayed here. In most scenes his smile is great and because he’s a funny man, but in the scenes where he’s alone, it’s a much more sinister smirk. Also him saying ‘here we go again’ is such a cool nod to his awareness, I didn’t realise until I just watched it again
The animation is nothing short of high-quality and outstanding. You can tell the animator enjoyed the process and wasn't afraid of holding back! You guys never cease to surprise me with the amount of work and effort you are willing to put into your videos, music-wise and visual-wise! Excellent masterpiece done by amazing creators!
This might just be me, but i prefer the original animation style. This version feels like they're constantly moving and morphing, it feels almost uncanny. It's not bad, but very distracting.

After watching the original after this one, I found I really enjoy both! The original is great bc of nostalgia, but this remastered version is great, too! I personally enjoy how everyone is more expressive. Papyrus constantly moving feels very fitting to his character, as I imagine him being very energetic and bouncy. And I like how Sans is more lax in his behavior with this version - even the walk cycles show their personalities... and I enjoy Frisk being more expressive, too. They're easier to read and relate to now. I'm very glad this community is going strong, even 8 years later, it's great! Though, it's sad in this version Sans ends up brotherless. :(

Is it just me or does the animation style remind me of that Garfield show? Especially sans. The way he walks almost reminds of of how Garfield himself did not to forget most of the time sans is so over serious in most depictions its hard to take him seriously but here he was mostly comical so that when he was serious it felt that much more chilling

In the old one, Sans was looking to the side, almost as if talking to someone else. It's not as personal because it's not about you.
In this version he is looking directly at you. Just you and him at a table in the dark.
If you understand what has happened up to this point, if you have done a genocide run, and you know what him sitting next to the door means to him and the story it makes it even more personal. Especially since Sans is one of the characters aware of resets and deaths.
He isn't talking to Frisk or your character. He's talking to YOU and the decisions YOU have made up to this point. It makes you have to think about your actions or past actions in the game. It's him threatening you to not kill anyone ever.
Recently got back into Undertale and have been listening to the original on repeat, hearing it remastered and with a completely new spin on the animation is amazing! Great work on this and props to the animators!

I've spent a while saying that 3d undertale animations aren’t that good and 2d is where this fandom shines… but OH MAN You guys knocked this one out of the park! The animation is so professional and fits To The Bone so well. The models are incredible as well and look very faithful. This is one of my favorite undertale fan songs, and this remaster reminds me the fandom is still alive. (Geez, 1 million already and it’s only been out 5 days….) Major applause to you!👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

I just love the small intecrate details on the good ol' skelly bros, like sans wearing gloves and socks as opposed to the more fan interpreted version. Same goes for Papyrus actually wearing these black stockings over his bones, which just tells me how much care and thought was put into these models, since they are as accurate as they can be

4:29-4:38 is my favorite part! I love how Coda animated Sans' head movement before the awesome scenery change to the judgement hall and I also love how they animated Frisk's knife slashes synced to the lyrics in a way that, I don't know if it makes sense to you, makes sense in my mind. But always with a good animation there is good music. Good job JT for this work of art!

The deepened voice voice of Sans at 4:28 is so good. In the game, you don't hear his voice at all when his eyes go black. Here, you can hear his voice while his eyes are corrupted with his *voice* also being distorted. It's such a good detail, because in the game, it doesn't feel like you are talking to Sans when he does this expression. Truly why you should always be afraid when Sans gets down to business.
Because if you’re talking to sans with those eyes, you truly aren’t talking to sans, something else, another voice unlike his is what you hear

I love how sans is portrayed here. In most scenes his smile is great and because he’s a funny man, but in the scenes where he’s alone, it’s a much more sinister smirk. Also him saying ‘here we go again’ is such a cool nod to his awareness, I didn’t realise until I just watched it again

After watching the original after this one, I found I really enjoy both! The original is great bc of nostalgia, but this remastered version is great, too! I personally enjoy how everyone is more expressive. Papyrus constantly moving feels very fitting to his character, as I imagine him being very energetic and bouncy. And I like how Sans is more lax in his behavior with this version - even the walk cycles show their personalities... and I enjoy Frisk being more expressive, too. They're easier to read and relate to now. I'm very glad this community is going strong, even 8 years later, it's great! Though, it's sad in this version Sans ends up brotherless. :(
