    As someone who still calls the Smithing Stones "Titanite", and "Twinkling Titanite" for the sombers, it's cool to see someone doing the reverse.

    Your content is entertaining, always well done and polished. You carry yourself with humility and honesty that helps in being very relatable to your viewers. Heck, I went from being stressed fighting Margit without sorcery and a summons at level 50 to fighting Maliketh at RL1 and loving every minute of it. All by watching and learning from your videos. Thanks from all of us! You are amazing!

    Something I absolutely love is that, while you're still providing a thorough enough guide to help new DS3 players make a build and get to the end-game, you aren't fully spoiling everything, and are still leaving a lot for them to experience for the first time.

  • @Mitchpog
    @Mitchpog Місяць тому +1

    Honestly the most beautiful guide I have ever seen. I have around 500 hours on Elden ring and have watched so many guide videos for all the different builds I used throughout the game. Even tho this isn’t a Elden ring this guide easily takes the cake. Decided to play dark souls 3 cause a few friends and I did the steam family share so I was able to play dark souls 3 for free. I was looking for a guide to help me with dark souls so I wasn’t doing a completely blind playthrough. This was literally the exact video I was looking for and before I found it I thought there was no way I would find a video like this. The way you don’t tell people certain things to let them fully enjoy the game and even would mess with the viewers so they can get the full dark souls experience was perfect. Since I didn’t have to spend any money to play the game might as well spend it here. Well fucking done man

      DS3 has some really good bosses and is a fun game but some of the levels are annoying due to the number of enemies. I would advise getting the slumbering dragoncrest ring and potentially hidden body if you want a smoother experience. Also don’t forget to play Sekiro as it is the most satisfying game in the series to play and get good at

    • @grimreefer213
      @grimreefer213 Рік тому +1

      @@BlueEnergyCat Of course DS2 SotFS is way fcking worse, Shrine of Amana made me rage quit and it took me two days to get back on and get through it. It’s not even that the enemies are hard individually there’s just way too damn many of them. You have to slowly creep along with a bow and it’s mind numbingly boring at best and frustrating at worst with horrible boss runbacks. But DS3 has some pretty fucky areas too that can be quite annoying to get through without slumbering ring at least

    Thought I'd add a couple of tips.
    First, if you're going to buy this, get the Game Of The Year/Fires Fade edition. It comes with Ashes of Ariandel and The Ringed City. If you already own the base game, get the season pass. Despite its confusing description, the season pass again, includes both DLC, and is generally cheaper than buying each DLC individually.
    Next, if following this guide, a couple of great alternative weapon options to the machete:
    Vortd's great hammer - transpose his soul for this. Big damage, and frostbite.
    Longsword: if you prefer sword and board. With a heavy infusion this gets A scaling in strength.
    Claymore: found in Lothic castle next to the first dragon. You can suicide to pick this up. A great all rounder.
    Greatsword - found in the swamp on a broken bridge. It's the greatsword!
    Lothric Knight Greatsword - bought from Greirat after his first expedition. This is like the clay men harpoon and ER greatclub, in that it has split lightning damage, but can be infused and buffed.
    Great Club and Exile greatsword - got from the farron exiles. Both excellent weapons!

    I've done speedruns of DS3 in the past, watching you gives me both anxiety because of how much stuff you run past and useful pieces of advice you don't mention (discounting the troll ones), but I also learned something new, I did not know that the Stray Demon on the bridge could be crit if you break his legs.

    Great vid, and ironically you actually nailed what I like the LEAST about DS3 bosses compared to ER in that you basically only ever get 1 attack while you have to dodge roll a billion 3-5 hit combos. It just made strength builds like this feel naturally more satisfying to play since if you're gonna get only one hit in, why not make it the biggest hit possible? I wish I liked Gael and Midir as much as most people (I still like Gael a lot, Midir is kinda boring to me), but for the most part ER bosses shine so much more to me. It's helpful that in ER so many more builds are viable and parrying isn't a thing relegated to like only 2-3 bosses.

      @mandu6665 10 місяців тому +1

      Yep. They gave all the bosses Bloodborne like quickness and didn't give the player the quickstep. That, the fanservice circlejerking "lore" and Ashes of Andriel being so fucking lackluster is why I think DS3 is the worst Souls game by a huge margin. They ignored everything DS2 innovated and made Dark Magic lame as hell.

    Not sure if you’ll see this but you inspired me to play through DS3 and I fell in love, I beat the entire game with both DLC in a day and a half. Seriously I blinked and it was over. Would absolutely LOVE to see a Pyromancy build! Anyways thank you so so much for your videos, you made these games seem approachable to me when I first started.

    Fishy out here serving the community with some incredible content as always. No matter what the game, your editing and helpfulness are top notch. (This is formerly TFF btw).
    DS3 looks like an incredible game. Idk if $85 is in my budget with a family, but I appreciate it from a distance. I'll support your guides no matter what game you do.
    Also, I appreciate that you use Elden Ring lingo throughout this guide 😂

    Thank you Thingy. This vid hit different and turned around my very grey British saturday. I just completed Journey 3 last night and got The Dark Soul achievement. Although I went full dex and pretty much used all the katanas - I'm a samurai through and through - this vid was very much a quick hour summary of my first 100-ish hours. I really really liked this vid. Thanks again. I'm taking a lil break, then I'm going into DS2 for the first time. Peeps say it's bad - but I don't care.
    And YES, Slave Knight Gael is the best From boss I've fought so far. SKGs is just such a pleasure.

    Great video. I think it’s very funny calling the stuff by Elden Ring terms, but also makes it a lot easier to understand what is going on in the game.
    It’s extra funny when you talk about the “infusions” which is the correct term in DS3, but not actually an ER term. I think it’s affinities in ER, but we’re so conditioned to think of it as infusions it’s like transcended itself. Hahaha
