@@jeremybelack one day I’ll get a newer H16 where I look though lens is what I get. But until then, I’ll have to set my lenses in a different viewfinder and guesstimate how for away something is like the poor person I am. Lol. It was much easier getting a reflex model regular 8 and Super 8.
which FD lenses would you recommend? and do you need to convert the aperture on an FD lens and factor in the crop of the 16mm film size or no? aka when metering, f2.8 on FD = f/2.8
A 25mm FD lens will be around a 50mm equivalent on 16mm film size. In terms of the f stop you may lose 1/3 of a stop from what the lense is saying through the prism. RX lenses will have this 1/3 built into what the lens is telling you. I actually don’t use FD lenses anymore with my bolex only the kern switars rx lenses
really really creative and clean! Love this look. I just dropped a short film and would love for you to check it out and leave your thoughts! keep up the great films!
Beautiful. The film and music go together perfectly. I just wish it was longer!
I only had one roll of film! Thanks for checking this out 🙌🏻
Wow. Awe inspiring footage. Feels timeless. The music and the foley sounds set it off beautifully.
This has to be some CGI its too perfect 😭

@@oldradiosnphonographs is yours a non reflex? It’s hard as it is to see with the reflex version!
@@jeremybelack yup it’s a non reflex from 1957. Today I just got a P3 8mm Bolex I’m excited for that, but it needs a CLA.
@@oldradiosnphonographs hey man I Got the same Bolex P3 for £25. It works, no haze in the lens I just need to get some batteries for the meter.
how are you so steady with it 😮 was there post process stabilization or were you on a tripod? amazing footage!
Tripod and some stabilization for handheld
Wow
Stunning piece! Would you mind sharing what adapter you got in order to use the Canon FD lenses? Thanks so much
I have the Pixco FD-C Adapter.

awesome!! the kern switar 25mm f1.4, does it add vignetting to the image when shooting on the h16?
No. 25mm is fairly tight on 16mm cameras. Equivalent to 50mm on a super 35 sensor.
What type 16mm film is that?
Kodak 50D
How did u get the canon lenses on the camera?
C Mount to Canon FD Adapter
What did you use to capture the sound?
I used sound design from the internet to give it the ambience
is this 8mm or 16mm? the rex-4 results as a 16mm camera.
16mm
