Kurt may not have been the best guitarist ever, but he was a great song writer and a creative riff maker.
Don't need to shred to sound good.
for me he was one of the best guitarist ever cause he played with his soul and heart
W a r n i n g hes # 14 on the greatesr ever list which says alot lol
W a r n i n g He wasn't the best in the world but I feel like people don't credit him enough. He could pick songs up by ear by just listening to them and came up with many riffs in the span of a couple hours. Pretty impressive if you ask me
Picking up a few power chords and writing such a big amount of creative riffs that will always live on is almost impossible.
Who else can hear Kurt’s voice in their head
Fłÿ Dįžżëę D
*me*
Fłÿ Dįžżëę D me
Me too
Wearing headphones while listening to music tends to have that effect on people
It'd in the video
3:02 Why haven't I heard that riff before???!!!!
I know it was stupid, but whatever
too stupid, like
Andriy Vasylenko hi frrrriend🤘
Hi friendssss
Andriy Vasylenko lol I've never heard it either.
Damn, Kurt was a genious. I hope he’s still making masterpieces somewhere…
If you mean hell :/ too bad he was an atheist
@@God_Help_Me11 Actually he wasn't. He was strongly interested in Buddhism
skoley_mizuki atheist in Christianity dumbass also there is no hell or heaven in Buddhism he also liked the concept of Buddhism he didn’t believe in it
chadgaming360 YT
He thanked god for dying
@@chadtheasian9498 no, you're the dumbass for not knowing how atheism works
For Marigold, you forgot to move a table during the intro
KKKKKKKKK
LMAO
This made my day
lmaoooo
Our pfps match as people from the same band. Cool.
Something In The Way is one of my favorite songs from Nirvana. I've never heard song with this kind of depressive melody like Something In The Way has.
You dont truly get it til youre laying on the floor staring at the ceiling at 3am crying lol
(This is a joke comment but it does make you feel the song more)
Eyes
Pirate Kid Is Dead all Nirvana songs do that to me
I love it
Well, Radiohead's Street Spirit has it
Man, Nirvana was the soundtrack of my childhood, so this video contains a lot of nostalgia for me. Almost crying here, thank u.
Same, I was the classic nirvana fan when I was 15 yo
the first song I ever cried to was drain you
Matheus polly
Mister M é noooixx
Im still in my childhood
This video really highlights just how many great riffs Kurt wrote, nearly each of them is very memorable and catchy af. Oh and it's always a joy to play them yourself, simple but so satisfying.
nirvana have 50 riffs?
Hello there, Rudy
Still waiting on that grilled cheese man
Back whem he had 30 likes on his comment

Bruh you everywhere
4:59 Expected you to throw your bass guitar in the air and then catch it with your forehead😂
"dude, he knocked himself out with the base!'
@@poopoopeepee4864 “Kurt kicked me in the ass, he didn’t know why i was leaving”
Bleach has the best riffs. Blew, School and Love Buzz are awesome.
Emmanuel Chaves could not agree more
Floyd the barber is one of my favourite songs off that album
Sifting it’s sick too
Nah sifting was the best
Floyd the barber is good too
4:35 why is that transition really satisfying
Right?
I love the "Rape Me" riff. One of my favourite songs from Nirvana.
@@Luckyboy94 you even know what the lyrics mean?
Cold oven Gaming he probably pretends to but doesn’t know at all
@@djskullboy2871 it surprises me of how many nirvana fans fit the description of "in bloom"
Same, I love it as well
Luckyboy94 the lyrics are spoken from a raped person’s perspective, where they beg the rapist “rape me”. They beckon them, they dare them to do it. They know they’ll go to jail, and nothing will become of them.
Kurt’s riffs prove that simplicity is cool.
Heart Shaped Box definitely has the most beautiful Nirvana riff...
10 minutes trip down the memory lane back into the raging teenage years. Now I feel the urge to smash something. No guitar was hurt in the making of this video, I hope. Rock on, man!
Gabriel Popa I'm 12 and all i like is grunge

@@umgababa Lmao
Mr. Moustache is one of the best riffs of Bleach, as for me
Either that or sifting both fucking bangers
Agreed
Respect bro
It was rip off
bleach is the best album
That Pennyroyal Tea's riff is so good , my favorite part of the song
I love that tone on the solo, makes me wanna get a new pedal😂
Never thought I would see someone perform the B-sides. Great job, man.
What Kurt could do with the simplest of chord progressions proves he was a genius.
Gotta say most of Nirvana catalogue of songs is pretty depressing stuff, kinda hard to listen to. But my favorite album is Bleach, surprisingly, it's the most "fun" record they did, imo, before Kurt was overwhelmed with fame and all the shit. And it's definitely their most underrated album with some hidden gems
Yes bleach is great, but in utero is their real masterpiece. It's surely their most experimental too, they were turning into a noise rock/ experimental band. Still a shame that kurt took his life.
Wow everybodys different I become elated. I revel.I start listening to the video quite depressed then I listen to it a little more and im blasted into an emotional reveling. These are really great riffs. I do listen just about all night iike almost into day.I cant get enough. Is this better?
epin pelaja LMAO
yup. Downer, About a Girl, and Big Cheese are like the best nirvana songs and they’re from Bleach
Incesticide is their most underrated albums
Man it’s hard to pick best album for me because you have the gritty but passion in bleach, bass and production in nevermind, fast pace and energetic riffs from in utero, and a mix of all plus a lot of nostalgia from unplugged live in New York
You inspired me to play guitar whenever
I first watched this last year in August. Thank you so much dude, you helped me find my passion
This made me appreciate Kurt even more! What a talented young man he was... Gone to soon, we miss you Kurt..🥀
The strat sounds nice dude
But you missed one of Kurt's coolest riffs, that bridge from Big Cheese
Now thats a good riff
basic mario tu-toriales Yeah! It sounds so.. Punk!
Nirvana would've been punk if it weren't for sub pop
No... lol
Kurt had a pretty good idea of what he wanted to play xD
*Did you just assume his Fender?*
50 Black Sabbath riffs, please.
Alexia ? Yeaaaah
Yesssssss
Something about nirvana's come as you are takes me to a different place, a different time, And I never wanna leave.
Yeah, same.
All Nirvana riffs just make me want to go out after a party and start a riot.
Easy
3:18
Ah, Kurt always knew how to title a song.
I was feeling down and checked my notification to see this and instantly got me happy! Thank you! :)
50 Soundgarden riffs!
YES
Heck yeah
P L E A S E D O I T
This needs to happen
Spoonman for the win imo
Every time I hear you hit the chords for come as you are at 0:32 I get goose bumps every time
Great job. I woke up this morning, I found this video and...... closing my eyes, I have done a jump to the 90's. Thanks! 😘
When you buy a guitar just so you can play nirvana
I’m literally getting in a few weeks just to do that
But hey! The good thing is that you can do extra stuff with that guitar, right?
ME LMAO
I did that with a Squier Classic Vibe 60s Mustang
I did that lol
I love how you smiled after cutting off teen spirit
@@fansee1368 You really got back just to check his pfp?
why "sappy" is not there?
None of the box set is there lol
And Love Buzz
@@lydiaapueyo cause love buzz is cover on shocking blue
Marigold?
@@surike marigold is in the video
Wow! I never realized how heavy these riffs were. Awesome.
I could listen to these all day
This is the best chanell to find new songs to listen to
Because of this video, I realized how talented of a guitarist Kurt Cobain is.
He said it himself had very little skill at guitar but had the creativity to make up for it
Every song was based around a single chord now known as the Cobain chord
@@kolbytaylor9504 What do you mean by that?
@@myless.5493 he wasn't good but he made great music out of what he did know
My Top 6 Favorite Nirvana Riffs
1. Rape Me
2. In Bloom
3. Heart-Shaped Box
4. Lithium
5. Smells Like Teen Spirit
6. Come As You Are
Kurt really did revolutionise the way you could play a guitar
@Parker Hetzel well he showed most people that they dont have to be van Halen to play guitar just feel it and have fun
@Parker Hetzel I meant to the masses I had no clue about punk rock until nirvana kurt is the reason i play guitar
@Parker Hetzel nah man doesnt sound mean everyone has their own opinion and that's cool, and yeh I'm only 17
@Parker Hetzel I agree with you there man
Parker Hetzel Parker Hetzel yeah Kurt definitely wasn‘t a guitar prodigy like hendrix, eddie van halen or jimmy page to name a few.
But he was a pretty good writer and had a feeling for nice riffs even with his somewhat limited technical abilities. He showed the world once again, that you don‘t have to be a musical genius to create good songs.
The reason while I personally still like Nirvana is because they showed that less is sometimes more. They weren‘t really groundbreaking. Alot of stuff they were praised for was already done more than a decade ago by numerous punk bands as you said. But they brought fresh wind in the rock genre, which got pretty stiff and repetetive during the 80ies.
And let‘s be honest. There are alot of guitarists, who can play flawless and on a high level from a technical perspective, but wouldn‘t even be able to write a decent song if there life would depend on it.
Nirvana is the best band that have ever existed!!🤘
R.I.P. Kurt Cobain(1967-1994)🖤
Megadeth is a football club
@@yung1103 Iron Maiden is just a pub
After THIS video I realized how many amazing riffs Nirvana has made ..! ❤️🔥❤️🔥
I love Grunge
Bro the heart shaped box was literally spot on...I’m questioning if you ever played it😂
I was just about to write “where the FUCK was something in the way?” Then it went dark and it came on. The same thing happened on the AiC’s one with rotten apple.
"something in the way" makes me cry 😭
Daaaaamn those transitions to each songs sounds as if theyre all one complete songr
You did a really good job of making them sound like they do in the songs.
50 red hot chili peppers riffs?

Every single one written by Frusciante
A 50 chili peppers bass riffs video would be awesome

В подборке 50 риффов Shocking Blue
This song is not from nirvana
Its not from Nirvana but, cmooonn!!!!
Well, most of the guitar parts are not even in the shocking blue song, especially the solo
Shoking blue
Drain you is D Standard and Endless, Nameless is standard but the E string is tuned to A#
It may be a bit late, but I heckin loved your cover of Come As You Are. I'd love to hear a full version

BLACK SABBATH RIFFS!!
Jakob Jakobovski yeaaah
Dude is so talented that he can switch from acoustic to Strat in a second
Watching him play dive makes me think he is a big nirvana fan
I was messing around and I started playing Breed by accident, I never learned it, I forgot the name of it, and I was trying to figure out what song it was when I found this video, so thank you for reminding me, great vid btw
You bring these songs life, thank you Andrea
50 Gojira Riffs? (asking again cause why not)

I've been liking your riff vids, IDK prob just like something different for once
Andrew Levister Couldn't agree with you more
I like the Jacket, makes you look good. Keep the good work up meh dude, X3
Please no, mine is similar, it's the perfect mix... You just need to grow a "non hipster" beard, to put a "nope" on your face and BADASS as fuck
i liked the video as soon as i heard the riff for polly
Hails to the man who always kept his music simple
Btw your tones are unbelievably good mate /,,/

50 Pink Floyd Riffs please
YES PLEASE
🤚
My favourite one is Come As You Are. I don't know why but it feels with some heart warming atmosphere. One of that few songs that aren't aggresive but just chilling. Also I love Aneyrusm, Sliver and Breed.
You forgot the part where he smashes the guitar or spins it around his head
I love the shirt bro, you should do one of these for them ;)
0:19 the best
50 Motörhead riffs ( Fast Clarke is dead, Lemmy and Phil too )
Headbanger speed That'd be awesome
Headbanger speed boohoo they're all dead fuck off, all motorhead songs sound the same
I Wear A Fez Now What is your problem little shit !? Talk to me in face and not behind your computer and comeback when you will have many balls than Lemmy
lemmy was great but his music is all the same, motorhead is for drunk losers who failed highschool and hangout at the pub everyday with their buddies who did the same
I Wear A Fez Now XD I've 16 years old, I don't drink 'cause I play rugby, I'm not in school failure ... I don't think I'm a exception, it's just stereotypes
500 Tony Iommi riffs
make that 1000
You dont realise thw amount of editing that'll take.
@@bofadeez12 you don't realise the joke in this dumbfuck?
10 minutes of greatness. Just subbed cos of this vid.
Suprised not to see verse chorus verse here it's a great riff. Probly one of my favorite riffs along with Breed, Aneurysm, Dive, lounge act and floyd the barber. But i also love the riffs of do re mi, clean up before she comes and opinion, it's a pity they could never be recorded in a studio
Anyway keep it up man you rock!
Are you wearing a Failure shirt...specifically from Fantastic Planet? Because...if you are...you've got very good taste.
one of my most favorite albums ever. terribly underrated band, terribly
She: "I like boys with electric guitar"
Me with my acoustic: 0:17
If I'm being honest most girls in this generation like acoustic better. 20th century boomers like electric better
I can feel kurts ghost as i am literally blasting my nirvana playlist on full volume on speakers and not caring about my siblings saying its too loud
ends off with something in the way
god bless this man
When I watch you playing , I can see when you find the good vibes which bring you to heaven ^^.
It's beautiful , I love that and Thank you Monsieur.
Kurt Cobain is the perfect example of Less = More.
I would hire you.. yeah I would.. I just wish you played “Scoff” and “Territorial Pissings” for a few seconds longer.. “ but seriously... awesome! great job!!! ✨✨✨👍
Sure wish they didn’t remove Dive, Stain, and aneurism from incesticide on Spotify
Why’d they do it?
Thedude 21 I think it's to do with copywrite reasons or something
Jinx 1234 might be because they put them on the other compilation albums
They are back
Are back at this point
Хорошо что есть люди которые до сих пор изучают эти рифы
Well done man!brings back a lot of memorable riffs.
50 Korn, Rage Against the Machine riffs
This was really great Andrea! Bleach album has some really great songs, people who call Nirvana overrated are the one's who have only listened to 'smells like teen spirit' Btw, can you do 50 Type O Negative riffs since you have already covered some of the best ones may be you can do them.
the whole video i was just waiting for something in the way
This video made me realize how many hidden gems are in Nirvana's discography. Sure, everyone knows Teen Spirit, In Bloom, Heart Shaped Box, All Apologies and so on, which are all great anyway, but the songs from Bleach and the other lesser known albums kick ass. My personal favourite riff is Sifting, it's so cool.
I first watched this and I only knew about 3 or 4 of the riffs. Coming back a month later after listening to their music pretty much every day, I know pretty much all of them
