I love your reactions. It's not sad to not know outside of hip hop. It is sad if you didn't want to know. I'm 75, and I was told that I was too old to be listening to hip hop!! Music is ageless. If it hits your soul, rock with it. ❤
Yes a young man told me he didn’t believe that I am 74 and listening to hip-hop. I listen to all genres of music. Keep on listening Miss Casandra and enjoy!
The more I listen to this, the more I appreciate the talent of Etta James. She is one in a million. Her song, "At Last" is a fabulous classic. There was a movie made with Beyounce about Etta's life Beyonce sang "At Last" at Pres. Obamas inaugural ball. For me, Etta James owns both "I'd Rather Be Blind" and "At Last". They are hers. We don't get Blues music like this anymore.
You actually reacted to this song performance by Beth Hart and Joe bonamassa, which was fabulous and I love Beth, but this will forever be etta James song
This is my favorite live performance. 🙌 It's long, but I've watched many times and am always mesmerized. The confidence, control, charisma. The sweat, lol. The freestyling musicianship. Raw and authentic. Holding the audience in the palm of her hand.
Thank you for this clip on the late, great Etta James! Your comments that the song was gut-wrenching, heartbreaking, and so forth is your initiation into the real RHYTHM & BLUES, more emphasis on the Blues😉. My favorite is Etta James live with B.B. King, Something’s Got a hold on me LIVE. True Blues ckassic. When they say “culture” in U.S., this is an example, just like Frankie Beverly & Maze Was a classic band in the Jazz genre. Anyway, enjoy! This took me back to my Southern childhood.
Caught this the first time Mijo, my kinda music. Thank you Etta Thank you Mijo❤️🤷🏻♀️❤️👵🏼. Don’t have regrets Mijo take all the time you need with Grandpa🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 Gmaw
Saw her way back when in a small club. She was a hardcore performer that knocked the audience out. She wasn’t afraid to tell someone to shut up if they interfered with the music 👏👏👏👏
My dad's favorite artist; I gave him tickets to one of her concerts before they both passed. Also, there's a mash-up with Chris Stapleton's "Tennessee Whiskey" that is a must-hear! She might sound familiar because Beyonce portrayed her in the "Cadillac Records" movie. Great reaction! #WhatUpDoe
Checkout Chris Stapleton “Tennessee Whiskey “ live from Austin City Limits.. he is one of the few artists that sound better live than in the studio. Soul by way of country music, if you haven’t heard him, you’re missing out.. great channel Cliff ! 👍
Cliff, so happy to see you reacting to some old school R&B. This one came out in 1968 when I was a young woman but the message is still the same. Some of us would rather be blind than go through heartache and pain. Love your Eminem reactions, love your channel. I am 74 and listen to all genres of music including hip-hop.❤
Posting here, you have the least comments. My requests probably won’t help your algorithm, so if you see this, play anyone that won’t get you in trouble. 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️.1. The Dells (Oh What A Night ) 2. Jasmine Sullivan (I n Love with Another Man) 3. Stan Walker ( Back To The River) official video. 4. A Change is Gonna Come ( Sam Cooke cover) Brian Owen’s. 5. Teddy Swims( All That Really Matters) or ( Blowin Smoke). ❤️❤️👵🏼
I would love to see you react to JJ Grey and Mofro " This River ft Danny Aiello" which is the official video It is southern soul rock and was released in 2013. I think you will appreciate it
Two songs you might like Rip,Rig,and Panic “Those Eskimos sure speak frankly”. Was not Was “ return from the valley of the freaks” They are both beautiful songs.
Hey, you may know the name from the movie "Cadillac Records" which Beyonce played Etta James in that movie. If you haven't watched it, please do. However, let me warn you it's very heartbreaking what she went through.
Great reaction. If you're a Hip-Hop writer, you should definitely watch the film #CadillacRecords to see the artists who inspired the artists that might have inspired you. Etta James story is one of them.
I dont know if this is the only video of her performing this song, but its always a bit funny, not really, cause she seems drunk( know about her struggles, I woukd say she was)
Her life was a heartbreak, she just put it to music, using the great talent she had.
AT LAST ,,,is my favorite Etta song, the best

Etta had a strong and beautiful voice. When she did live shows she really put on a show! I'm so happy you reacted to her.
Any live Etta song is great. Wish that I could of seen her in concert.
As great as she is you have to give it up for the band and that guitarist that keep everything tight
You actually reacted to this song performance by Beth Hart and Joe bonamassa, which was fabulous and I love Beth, but this will forever be etta James song

Check out At Last and you will understand. The woman was awesome.
I second that!
You've got to see the amazing documentary Muscle Shoals. It includes the story of Etta's rebirth as a hit maker.
And that's how you sing the blues! 💜🇬🇧
To hear her sing AT LAST would tear your heart out!!!
OH, ETTA!! SO, SO GOOD!! My favorite, tho, still, is AT LAST!! ❤❤❤❤❤
Etta, Ella, and Billie ❤❤❤
The cover by beth and joe live in Amsterdam is a must watch!!! 🔥
Didn't know Cliff had another channel. Will definitely be hanging around this one. Nothing like old school feels, especially hole-in-the wall blues.
I know I'm just glad that UA-cam brought it across my feed. It's like Christmas!😂❤

"At Last". Everything this woman sings is iconic. She was a force of nature. ❤
You got plenty of years ahead my young friend...so much to discover, what a journey it will be. ❤❤❤
Beyonce portrayed Etta James in a great movie called "Cadillac Records" (2008).
Not my normal music but the song caught me and wouldn't let me go.
Caught this the first time Mijo, my kinda music. Thank you Etta Thank you Mijo❤️🤷🏻♀️❤️👵🏼. Don’t have regrets Mijo take all the time you need with Grandpa🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 Gmaw
Was lucky enough to see her live in Atlanta in the mid 90’s. Sang from a chair but sounded just like this. No one like her.
One of the best songs ever!!!
Love Etta - At Last is in my top 10 all time favourites! Thank you for your awesome reaction. New subscriber!
Probably the most well known song from Etta James is At Last
Great reaction. Can you react to Stan Walker singing his song I Am, if you haven't already. Big loves from New Zealand 💜
I was listening to this since I was a kid in the late sixty's. Thanks very much Young Man
She is top 5 imo.
Etta James was amazing!
Miss Etta James,... one of the best to ever do it!
Etta James is special
At Last was probably her biggest hit.
The blues man the blues !
GREAT REACTION
I got to see her a few times, and I still have plenty of her songs in my playlist. What a gift.
Saw her way back when in a small club. She was a hardcore performer that knocked the audience out. She wasn’t afraid to tell someone to shut up if they interfered with the music 👏👏👏👏

A glass in this context is a mirror, as in the old-fashioned term “looking-glass”.
Women are emotional creatures created to love you have your babies but MOST IMPORTANTLY TO BE LOVED AND RESPECTED BY OUR MAN WHOM WEVE TRUSTED
Checkout Chris Stapleton “Tennessee Whiskey “ live from Austin City Limits.. he is one of the few artists that sound better live than in the studio. Soul by way of country music, if you haven’t heard him, you’re missing out.. great channel Cliff ! 👍
His backup singer is his wife Morgane, he suffers from a form of stage fright and he looks at her to get through… wonderful couple..
At last and love to you🔥🔥🔥

The glass is a mirror
My favourite version is actually sung by Christine Perfect (Chicken Shack). She was part of Fleetwood Mac (married John McVie).
Etta James stormy weather, somethings got a hold on me, trust in me, don’t cry baby.
Etta James' best song is At Last.
I didn't know you had this channel too so I subscribed here too
The plasters the great pretender and smoke gets in your eyes
Lol....Who?😂😂😂
Please listen to “At Last” soo good!
Lucky enough to have seen her live many, many years ago❤️
Joy division, Atmosphere please, great reactions,♥ just came from your rolling stone vid,🖤
ETTA! These artists went through heck. Racism and all.
Son Chilena y me Fasina ella y su voz incleible....y hoy se aprecia muy poco la buena música .
Angelina Jordan also covered this. And Beyonce played her in Cadillac Records.
Taking nothing away from Etta, but Rod Stewart does a capable version of this
You need to do a reaction to At last my love has come 😊
You found THE BLUES
Beyonce plays Etta James in the film 'Cadillac Records', Beyonce sings this in the ending scene, must watch, it's on YT
Hi, she's not saying slow down...she's saying Look out! :)

Classic!
Beyond played Etta James in 2007 a movie Caddilac Records. Gotta say nothing much bests the original ❤
Great reaction! I really think you should react to Whitney Houston Greatest love of all live 1990!❤
A Great!
Not a problem. There are four names in female soul voices, Billie Holiday, Etta James, Ella Fitzgerald, and Nina Simone...go!
I would love to see you react to JJ Grey and Mofro " This River ft Danny Aiello" which is the official video It is southern soul rock and was released in 2013. I think you will appreciate it
You need to hear the original.
Janis Joplin said Etta James was an inspiration for her singing
Imagine being there?
Two songs you might like
Rip,Rig,and Panic
“Those Eskimos sure speak frankly”.
Was not Was
“ return from the valley of the freaks”
They are both beautiful songs.
Also I enjoyed hanging with you for Etta James. ❤
Listen to Etta sing At Last
you should watch Cadillac Records about Etta and other blues folks, Beyonce played her in the ONE role that she did well lol. I really like that movie
Hey, you may know the name from the movie "Cadillac Records" which Beyonce played Etta James in that movie. If you haven't watched it, please do. However, let me warn you it's very heartbreaking what she went through.
❤❤❤
I believe she was an inspiration for Janis Joplin. In 1975 I was 22 y/o.
usually, whiskey or Gin
Sometimes it really sucks being a trained singer because you always notice when other singers use their instrument improperly.
If you aint never heard blues before you just did.
Great reaction. If you're a Hip-Hop writer, you should definitely watch the film #CadillacRecords to see the artists who inspired the artists that might have inspired you. Etta James story is one of them.
it wasn;t wine back then! hehe

If Janis Joplin could sing a Duo, with her….♥️
Janis Joplin patterned herself after Etta James’ vocal style.
Etta James is why my generation is not easily impressed.
Strange fruit by Nina Simone
They.say.her father was Minnesota fats the famous pool player.
If a person lives in a box with only one widow they are missing everything on 5 other sides. Just saying😊
I dont know if this is the only video of her performing this song, but its always a bit funny, not really, cause she seems drunk( know about her struggles, I woukd say she was)
The movie with Beyonce playing Eta James
"Cadillac Records"
