Many cheaper/older displays have quite bad flicker (some only at lower brightnesses). Flicker is definitely proven/known to cause headaches, and the sensitivity varies from person to person. Also check out papers from the LED lighting industry with regards to flicker.

I would lovingly encourage you to look into organizations like the Cellphone Task Force - believe me, the LAST thing I would want to do is pretend to be allergic to cellphones/laptops to get attention (how boring, haha). In the future, I believe society will look back and realize that cellphones are like cigarettes or the use of Asbestos; not safe but the profits were too great to acknowledge the harms, and the media too biased by corporate influence -- The good news is that we can have a compromise and make technology SAFER, not eradicate it all together. I am working for that day! Thanks for hearing my comment (I use my technology sparingly after all haha) xoxo

I am also , and absolutely there is NO nocebo effect in people with ehs. None. More people will soon be suffering with this with the ultra powerful 5G and overexposure and overuse. To Everyone reading the comments. .....Please please, save the babies & children from exposure to the cell phones , WiFi, etc. Distance them as much as possible because these silent weapons are accumulating in All of our bodies, especially the little ones, they absorb it so much more than adults. and this radiation is causing great damage to our nerves and even cells. Yes, they are killing us. Our bodies weren’t made to withstand this horrible man made radiation. My 48 year old brother died from a brain tumor last year from cell phone radiation. Don’t charge it by your bedside or sleep with the cell phone beside you or under your pillow. Use speaker phone. Put on airplane mode. Unplug WiFi when not using. I could say so much more. I could write a book about it but there are already lots of good books out there. Just do the research. Look at the 2012 Bioinitiative Report....
Correlation ≠ causation.
Unfortunately, it's a nocebo effect. Electro sensitivity is BIOLOGICLY IMPOSSIBLE in humans.

Microwaves heat any polar molecule, not just water! That means the fats and carbs are also heated. Or more precisely, the ceramic bowl is heated to 1000 degrees while your watery soup is still stone cold.

@@fsdgadfase Yeah well fats are generally non polar. On the other hand, carbs are polar molecules.

Without googling and using my flaky memory, a polar molecule is a molecule that is not balanced in its charge. So it has some negative or positive bias... Maybe.
When you are watching TV all day and then do not feel very good, it is not because of radiation, more likely you just need a fresh air.
Exactly. It's always easier to blame something else than to put yourself down
It also could be because of eye strain because you're focusing with them too much: causing your eyes to dry up and probably lead to eyestrain. Same could've happened if you was reading a book for too long.
Better call saul. Anyone?

Is there such a thing as too much electricity?

Lightning's EM amplitude is very high, strong enough to cause burns (chemical reactions) due to the sheer heat, and it can interfere with electrons (by definition, electricity is essentially moving electrons). However, it cannot become the ionizing radiation that can mutate atoms.

stuff like the headache from the computer could easily be the light emitted by the screen being too high. focusing too much in one spot etc.
Most screens and devices have their brightness turned way up above the needed brightness. If you ever have the chance to calibrate your screen, you'll see how much lower it should be.
Yeah, I keep my devices at pretty low brightness nowadays, but my mom always asks me to make it brighter when I'm trying to show her something. Idk how she can stand having the brightness way up like that.
Many cheaper/older displays have quite bad flicker (some only at lower brightnesses). Flicker is definitely proven/known to cause headaches, and the sensitivity varies from person to person. Also check out papers from the LED lighting industry with regards to flicker.
drojf oh yeah! I forgot about that. I know some displays (asus ones specially?) use PWM with a not so high frequency. I personally never had any issues with my laptop that used it but heard it makes some people feel bad. Luckily my PC monitor uses a current limit to reduce the brightness.
