That and there seems to be a link (there have been studies but more is required) between childless women and a higher risk of certain cancers like uterine cancers.
I'm so bothered by this "stealthing" ordeal. These are the days I'm so glad I'm married and not dealing with someone who could be so disrespectful. That whole ordeal blew my mind. 🤬
Eh🤷♂️. Thats you're fault if it happens to you honestly. Dont be having sex with people that you don't know or trust enough to not do something like that
Thank you SO much for validating that stealthing is rape. That's what happened to me, and I needed that validation so much; I am going through trauma therapy now! 🥺
Who is this dude. I just wanna talk 😈 In all seriousness though, I'm glad you're getting help. Have you considered going to the police? Even if you don't want to press charges or you don't have proof, having a written statement from someone else that went through it can really improve the chances of him getting put away next time he does this to someone, if they decide to press charges. At least in the US, you can opt for the police to just keep it on file and you don't have to press charges if you don't want to.

My anatomy instructor in college really stressed the oral sex STI HPV connection. He really wanted to save as many folks he could from throat cancer that didn't even realize it was a risk at the time.

@@puck6380 well *from what I've read* if you get oral, throat, or esophageal cancer, from anything generally, you generally have very bad chances of survival and your death is generally pretty miserable. I'm not sure the rate of oral transmission of HPV and I'm also not sure what are the cancer rates for the HPV strains that can cause cancer. Sorry, nursing student, not a doc :S
@@heather8011 Maybe some tmi, but... Yeah, with that type of a cancer you cannot eat solid food, and even drinking special shakes hurts, which really complicates things when you also have to go through a demanding treatment. I knew a person who had it, she lost tons of weight to a very unhealthy degree, could hardly function, but did manage to survive. However she still cannot eat many foods years later due to sensitivity from the treatment. And some people have to have throat operations that render them basically mute, which isn't even a guarantee that they'll survive, far from it. Respect to the anatomy instructor...
I had an awesome sex ed instructor, he was an old, seasoned OB/GYN. He stressed SO much that you can get STDs from oral, specifically HPV. I am almost certain he's the reason STDs were few and far between in my highschool
Making sure you're regularly screened for STI's while sexually active is so important! Also, don't be afraid to ask potential partners to get screened before intercourse as well. I've had people try to say, "Oh, I'm fine. I haven't been with anyone since my last partner, so I'm good," or "I don't want to have to pay for testing," or "Why? Don't you trust me?" or any number of excuses! It's not about trust, it's about respect for you, your health, and their own health. There are programs available to help offset the cost of testing. There's no excuse good enough to bypass being screened and risk your health. ❤
Oh for sure! And anywhere with a public health department will actually test you for free, even if (for some reason) your regular insurance doesn’t cover it, so the “I can’t pay for an STI test” excuse is weak sauce at best.
I really appreciate the thing about this being about mutual respect as opposed to trust, thank you for that framework! (sorry, not to discount that I'm in a demographic that may be liable to provide one of the above responses)
Sooo important! I got PID when I was younger from someone that I thought I could trust. Didn't realize I had it until I got really really sick. Was in the hospital for a week on iv antibiotics. I had been pregnant 3 times before that and never got pregnant again after, even when trying. It's been 25 years. Pretty sure I'm completely infertile from having PID once.
@@awright119021 Doctor glossed over it, but PID is somewhat of a catch all term for a bacterial infection of the Fallopian tubes. My wife had PID secondary to a nosocomial (hospital borne) post-operative infection with staph, which resulted in an obstructed tube. The remaining tube was scarred to obstruction by an ectopic pregnancy some years later. The clinic doctor jumped to conclusions without waiting for the culture being identified, she was talking divorce and I chased the resident around the clinic in a fine emulation of Sergeant Carter vs Gomer Pyle. Suffice it to say, the attending was not entertained by my antics or that his resident started such a ruckus when the lab results were sitting there awaiting his perusal. The resident didn't depart the attending's office for quite some time. Apparently, the attending gave doctor a similar counseling session, albeit quieter about assuming anything, when test results are just sitting there waiting to be read and had they been read, he'd not have had to apologize to a patient and spouse over the idiocy of a resident. Not reviewing results is just guessing, that just isn't done in evidence based medicine.
In regards to sperm sticking around awhile: I work in forensic DNA, and this is why, when we have sex crimes, one of the questions on the paperwork is if the victim had consensual sex within 2 weeks of the assault. Having a reference sample from a consensual partner off the bat makes our lives much easier, but unfortunately it doesn't happen very often
@@puck6380 It allows them to determine if any semen found is from the rapist or the partner. That way they don’t waste time and resources running it through databases to see if there’s a match and so on.

Tbh secondary (11-16) school sex education isn't too brilliant here in the UK. Mostly had to learn from books tbh so these quizzes existing confuse me. Nobody I know has ever taken this kind of tests I didn't know they exist
Yep, I didn't get any sex education in secondary school, we had a little bit in primary school, and it was alright, but not great. We were taught that "people go through menopause which can cause fluctuations in hormones, and therefore potentially cause mood swings." I asked if I was going through the menopause then, as I was experiencing mood swings, and the teacher just laughed at me and said no. Took me a few years later when I was a young teen to learn what menopause meant and that it doesn't even happen to men!
i honestly had no idea that's what stealthing was, when it comes to sex. it's really messed up how there's people out there who would ACTUALLY take the condom off while they're having sex with someone, without consent from the person that they're having sex with.

There are also people who will deliberatly put a hole in condoms while they are still in the packet, or deliberatly buy condoms that are too small so that they will break during intercourse.
It's a common domestic violence tactic to trap and control their victim. It makes you even more vulnerable to escalated violence. It's absolutely rape, but it's really traumatic for the victim bc they feel violated but also unsure if it "counts" as rape. So it's also psychological abuse similar to gaslighting.

Hi! mother to two boys here, now 12 and 14 yo, no daughter or any female other than me. Strategy: normalization. Education. Their experience is normal, the changes are normal, what drives them is normal, so let’s openly talk about it! Objective: creating a safe space where they feel and know they can come to you for A-NY-THING and ask about E-VE-RY-THING. Destroy taboos and knick in the buds the beginning of misogynistic ideas and beliefs. Allow them to be free of any unhealthy sexual concept and behaviour that can impact their lives and capacity to be in LTR, be open minded about sex and anything related to being in relationships, and to do everything I can to ultimately make them be good partners and future husbands. I first started very, very young to explain and prioritize consent, through play (“respect the friend and their decision to not want to, respect their right to say NO just like you do”). My overall approach was, and still is, to get into the topic in a scientific-biological objective way (you might have to refresh your knowledge a bit for that, but can be done easily 😉). My general intro line is: your body is genetically and biologically programmed to reproduce. I know the idea of kissing a girl is gross to you rn, but one day, your body and your mind will lead you to want this and enjoy it. For that to happen, a lot will need to happen, it won’t happen overnight, but it will start with puberty. Males and females bodies will first take a few years to go through puberty (first topic), then, the role of testosterone (explain what it is, what its responsible of physically and mentally, where it comes from and goes to, etc) will drive you to feel attracted to girls (IMO, too young to get into the 2022 gender hysteria), you’ll also begin to enjoy girls’ attention a bit more, will become more interesting in them and will want to have more interactions with them, and that’s ALL very normal, that’s your body working well and doing his job, and eventually one day, you’ll want to get closer to one, you will feel attracted to her, and you’ll dream of intimacy with her, be physically and emotionally close to her, to touch her, kiss her, and one day it will mean having sex too (re-enforce consent here). It’s all perfectly normal, it’s all driven by testosterone and everybody experiences this”. I didn’t want to hold any taboo and be shy about any of the first steps that lead our kids to one day have sex. I want to be there for them at every stage. I want them to feel comfortable coming to me to talk about ANYTHING to me, physical, emotional, etc. My biggest fear for them is to get baby trapped. Condoms are already in the bathroom, just in case, they both know what it is, why it’s needed, how it works, and how to use one (opened one with them). The first more in details discussion I had with them was about menstruations and cycles, they were 6 and 8 (I hadn’t had a period since my baby’s birth, thanks to Mirena iud, so they had absolutely no idea and I didn’t want any of them to panic if they caught me in the bathroom and saw that I was bleeding); so the definition, the female anatomy, what it is exactly (we’re not bleeding to death, it’s not regular blood, it’s the comfort lining of the potential nest) all the whys and hows of menstruations (physically what’s happening, but physiologically, emotionally, etc, too), the females hormones and their general roles (as chemical messengers), all the way to why women are more sensitive and emotional (their emotional brain is 8x bigger in females than males) and why it gets worse during our periods, etc. I wanted them to understand that no, we’re *not crazy*, we’re just biologically made to be more sensitive and emotional, and that’s perfect because it’s actually what assured our specie’s survival for that long. It is not respected and valued for what it is, because of misogynistic framing, where generations of men have underestimated women’s’ roles, probably because they feel their personal value threatened… who knows! I’ve always made it VERY clear to them that I would never tolerate any language or idea that paints women as being unreasonable, stupid or ridicule because they’re too emotional, or anything along those lines. A couple years later, when my eldest got around 10-11 yo (that’s when some girls in school could start their periods), I explained to them what I expect from them, as the intelligent and respectful young men I’m raising, that if they ever saw a girl in school that had an unfortunate accident, I will never accept from them less than being extremely respectful, trying to discreetly do something to help, directly offer her help if appropriate or tell a teacher and ask for them to help her (cause sometimes we’re unaware it happened!), and most importantly, defend her, step up for her, make her feel safe, and I expect them to come down HARD on any kid that would try to shame her or ridicule her in front of others (general rule here: they know I will ALWAYS have their back if they end up having to response or intervene physically, if they needed to, I won’t care! I will handled the school principles whenever you do the right thing for the right reasons! And they know that, since I’ve done it a couple times already.. both times were situations where his use of physical strength was very, VERY valid and done properly. I don’t get why we so strongly ban physical violence totally when, as adults, they will have the right to use violence to defend themselves, defend their homes, their partner, whatever. Why not teach them how to use it properly, correctly? As the criminal code allows it? Anyway, another topic for another day…). I would be extremely disappointed in them, and hurt honestly, if it ever gets to my ears that they stood aside and didn’t do a thing to defend and protect her. I explained to them how difficult it is for very young girls to cope and learn about how managing having periods, the added responsibilities it brings on them, making sure they always have hygiene products with them everywhere they go because it can start at any moment and they won’t know, the pain (oh god the pain when that shitshow starts), the sadness and emotions turmoil caused by the hormones fluctuations, the PMS, etc. I really wanted them to understand the reality of it, the true reality of how much it freaking sucks, so that they can be understanding, helpful, empathetic and compassionate, and not judgemental jerks.
I learned none of that when I was in 7th or 8th grade. The extent of my sex ed class was explaining how a baby grows inside of a uterus, but not how it gets there in the first place (I went to a private Christian school that did not ever teach sex ed). My parents strategically placed books on my bookshelf when I was around this age that I read alone and never talked to them about. And when I did have sex ed, I don’t know that any of what was on this quiz was included. I am grateful for resources like this channel that have helped me learn a lot more about all of this.
@@meredithingram9384 considering that was all they did, I think it was bad parenting. If they would have done it and then had a conversation with me when I read them, it would have been fine. My middle school sex ed was 100% scare tactics and abstinence only education. They showed us pictures of different STIs and talked about how horrible they were so we shouldn't have sex and then sent us on our way. Basically like DARE but for sex instead of drugs.
Society definitely needs better understanding of much of this. Especially that many people don't orgasm from penetration alone. Quite literally all of the men I've been in long-term relationships with took it as a blow to their ego, and of course that makes me feel bad, even though it's biology, and I have no control over it 🙃 They've all said something like, "I've never had this problem with anyone else." Well, then obviously, some of them were faking it 😆🤷🏻♀️
This! Because the clitorus is the biological equivalent of the penis, not the vaginal canal. They were for sure faking it. I'd bet that 60% is more like 20% and they probably had a LOT of foreplay first lol
Yeah I wish people didn’t fake it…makes a lot of people not realize they have to make a bit more effort. Think there’s a big percentage of us that need other things to have an orgasm.
HA HA HA... I also am from the UK. Never did this quiz. The extent of our education was putting condoms on carrots at age 12/13. We were all giggly and embarrassed. 😆
That's better then what I had. I had barley anything other than basics from mom and my schools sex Ed was a big fat fail. They made us put a pad on panties and told us we would bleed out of our bodies soon without telling us why we would.

I’m a guy, I got 10/12. I didn’t know what stealthing meant and I choose 20% on women experiencing orgasms during intercourse. Also, stealthing is rape, just straight up sexual assault. I guessed having sex with someone who’s asleep, which is also rape as they can’t consent.
It is much closer to 20% in the United States. Socially we don’t value female pleasure during sex so the number is logically low. I’d be interested in comparing the rates around the world bc there are definitely countries where female sexuality is extremely celebrated and encouraged. And of course I want to see the source they used for this specific question. (lol my sociology PhD education is rubbing off on me😂)
The sleeping thing is called Somnophilia! About the subject, though feel free to critize what I'm about to say: For a lot of people, yeah, it is SA if the person never gave their consent, but in a few cases it can be consensual! Some people do have it as a kink (proper somnophilia, I mean), and if they're in a healthy relationship with a willing partner, then it can be safely executed thanks to communication and negotiations. Typically both parties involved should have a long talk about what the awake person can and can't do during this time and make sure it's a safe and positive experience for both participants. Communication before any sort of experimentation is crucial in all relationships, and so long as there's proper communication and the sleeping person gives formal and explicit consent beforehand, it can technically be a consensual experience. It's defnitely not something I'd do personally, but some people enjoy it. I don't know too much about it, so it'd be a good idea to talk to people who actually have experience with it to get more factual information.
@@masterbelila8498 This. Its actually no different from BDSM or roleplays - as long as everything is talked through and agreed on beforehand, there's nothing wrong with it. If it isn't discussed and agreed on beforehand, its a crime.
@@aliioana8586 well, it depends. Are we including lesbians and oral or just piv sex? Because there's a gap in how many people orgasm regularly during sex but it's like 60% for straight women to 90% for straight men. With mlm and wlw inbetween.
@@masterbelila8498 I tried somnophilia with my sex partner because in concept the idea is really hot - but whenever he would try in the morning when he was awake and I wasn't, I'd start waking up but be suuuper out of it and not fully conscious yet and I would get SO. ANNOYED. that someone was touching me 🤣 I'd grumble and like swat him away cuz I thought I was having an annoying dream Once I was awake awake I appreciated it but I'm a heavy sleeper and take several minutes to fully wake up, so we just always wait until we're both wide awake now lol Sometimes you try things that you think you'll like and they just don't work out. As long as you and your partner are on the same page, no harm no foul
Let's say you got 100% cause I'm calling BS on 60% lol! Anytime I see a discussion about orgasming from PIV sex the majority always seem to say they don't. This is the first time I've ever seen any claim that's over half. Anyway I'm 27 in the UK and sex ed wasn't nearly this in depth when I was in school so this is good to see!
It's definitely lower than 60%. There's also studies showing that, a lot of women aren't even actually orgasming when they say they are. They aren't lying (faking is different), they just have never had one and think they are getting them, but aren't. So the lower numbers are even inflated. But yeah, I've only seen numbers below 50%. I've also the mechanism for this is that the clitoris is stimulated from inside the vagina, and those who have clitoris's closer to the vaginal opening (forget the scientific term) have higher rates of PIV orgasm. Personally tho, I'm wondering how anyone gets orgasm from PIV sex lol
I have heard several times the number of 30 % (females that can orgasm on a regular base from vaginal penetration only). With males it is more like 80 - 90 %. The 60 % that were the "correct" answer in this quiz seem way too high.
Added info for the UK termination laws is that the 23 week limit is for terminations for any reason, but you can get a termination past 23 weeks for a narrower list of reasons such as fetal abnormalities or risk to the person who’s pregnant. These later-term terminations are incredibly rare because at the 23 week mark and beyond these pregnancies were almost always wanted, since terminations for before 23 weeks are widely available.
I came to say this. I think its very important to also reiterate that not only is abortion in England Scotland and Wales very widely available, most importantly its free on the NHS. You can even refer yourself directly rather than going through your GP.
I’m feeling especially annoyed with the anti-education/anti-sex ed people lately. There was a pamphlet or something going around about how upset we should be that the idea of consent is a part of the curriculum (which may or may not be true because it definitely wasn’t mentioned when I was in school). I was almost 30 years old by the time I learned about the haircut metaphor and the fries acronym (which I’d need to look up to remember the specific words, but definitely all good ideas). I know I’m speaking for more than just myself (unfortunately) when I say that the discussion of consent would have prevented some of my experiences. I’m not at all surprised that “stealthing” is enough of a thing to have its own term. I’m also not surprised it’s on tiktok. So does anyone want to try to tell me that discussing consent in school is somehow a horrible ‘liberal’ “grooming” attempt and not a vital component of sex ed?
Pedophiles and sexual predators prey upon the young and innocent. Teaching children and youths early on will protect the child from being easily manipulated. They learn about saying no to those types of scum, it doesn't groom them. People are so paranoid thinking their child or teenager is too young to learn about these things, well pedophiles and predators don't think they're too young, they depend on ignorance. It makes me sad and angry that people are out there saying educating in school is grooming to victimize. But those types of people fail to recognize that sexual abuse is usually at the hands of a family member or family friend. Educating at school will help children who are being abused to be more likely to tell a teacher what's happening in the home. It gives them courage to realize that just because someone is an adult doesn't mean you have to do what they say.
I've never heard of what the fries acronym is (or the haircut metaphor, but I'm pretty sure I can guess what that is because there was a borderline traumatic scene in boyhood in which that main character had his hair forcibly shaven off)

I missed the same one you did. I couldn't decide between 40% and 60% also. I am curious how accurate that number is. I had always heard that less than half of women orgasm from penis in vagina intercourse. I feel like it would also be hard to study, because not everyone can say they 100% do or do not orgasm that way. I HAVE orgasmed that way, but I am 38, and it only happened three times in my life, so I generally feel like that's something that doesn't work for me.
This is such a good point! I suppose it is the case for a lot of people and I would definitely consider myself part of the 60% even if it had happened to me a few times in my life.
I'm also not sure how accurate the number is, but I think the 60% number they reference is one used in the British sex Ed curriculum, so it is likely the number that attentive British students who the quiz is aimed at would know.
60% seems really high to me! Almost all the women I’ve seen talk on the subject need some sort of clitoral stimulation to have an orgasm. Like you said it could happen randomly but not be a consistent thing too so idk how that falls into statistics.
I honestly thought it would be 20 percent. I think I've had a handful with men and I'm 33 but I've also experienced so much sexual assault and rape since I was 15 by multiple different men throughout the years so I think that has a lot to do it with it also. Luckily I'm queer and a woman has never sexually assaulted me but I even have trouble orgasming with women due to all my past trauma. My vibrator never fails so I know I can...Ive had therapy and rape counseling but I need so much more. Now anytime I have sex with any gender it instantly feels like assault.
I also got 11/12 and got the same question wrong. I've heard both 40% and 60% before, both of course are waaaaay too low. Focussing on your partners pleasure and communicating are things we definitely need to include in sex ed more.
I agree. I wish I had known when I was younger that p in v is not the way most people with clitoruses orgasm. It is important that girls and women etc understand how their body orgasms too
Some people might not be down for this but I think we need to be more open to mutual masterbation as part of having sex with someone - it can be really fun to have your partner touch you and whisper to you while you do the actual sexual stimulation, and especially if two people aren't super familiar with each other bodies, it can be hard to give someone else an orgasm. Also being able to see how your partner touches themself can help you learn what kind of motions and pressure they like in what places
Lol, from talking with women with cishet male partners......the number is more like 5% (Though the lesbian and bi partners raise the average quite considerably, lmao)

I had a partner that just didn't put the condom on at all. He got it out, pretended to put it on and in the heat of the moment, I didn't notice. Turns out he gave me chlamydia. I had no idea until a year later when I got screened because I was starting a new relationship. No symptoms whatsoever. But because I screened every year at the time and he was the only partner in between the negative and positive tests I'm pretty sure that's how I got it
This is totally ur choice to answer or not but I was wondering how'd ur next partner took the info if u told them u tested positive for chlamydia? Just it's something I've been stuck in my head about if i ever experience this. Again totally get it if its not something u wanna talk about. 🖤
@@acelovesdiyschristopher7023 better than I thought. He wasn't happy. But it's easily treated. Got the ABs and used consoms until we knew we were both clear. We're still together 3 years later and have a baby.
Question for MDJ: If going on the pill prevents you ovulating, does that mean you have more eggs in your 'store' when you try for a baby than if you had had years of periods?
Not a doctor, but I've heard it doesn't. You lose the vast majority of the eggs in some other way. I think girls are born with millions of eggs and a large percentage disappears even before puberty.
Good question! Out of the blue my guess would be it doesn’t change anything cause menopause happens when all the eggs are gone, so if there were more eggs “stored” menopause would happen much later for people who were on the pill (I think?). Don’t know if that makes sense. Not sure if it’s right tho
You made me curious, so I looked it up. The answer is apparently no, that even if you prevent ovulation, it doesn't stop the loss of follicles, so eggs are still removed from the "resting pool eggs." Likewise, it also doesn't delay menopause. In the search, I found that information on WebMD as well as confirmation through one research paper on oral contraceptives and menopause. The study actually found that "Our main finding is that long-term users of high dose OCs (>50 μg oestrogen for 3 or more years) experience menopause at a slightly younger age compared with women who did not use OCs or only used lower dose OCs (≤50 μg oestrogen). Use of lower dose OCs has no influence on age at menopause." Not at all what my intuition would have had me believing.
So glad I grew up overseas in a DoDDs school; no state regulations or any kind of religious restrictions whatsoever. At probably 7-8th grade, we learned everything in great detail, and watched a live documented birth on video.

If only there was some magical aspect of the universe that required a person to be informed to a certain threshold before having sex... We'd have sex education that actually educates because people in power would be wanting sex.
Instead, it has to be a mystical "magical" thing only allowable by married persons. So many marriages started just so they can try out this "magical" thing called sex.

Hey I just did a college project on HPV (genital warts) and shaving makes it easier to get infected because the virus enters cells through microlesions, which shaving can cause.
@@laartje24 Yes! HPV is just the virus that causes warts in general, but it's only dangerous in the genital and mouth region because that's where certain types can cause cancer.
@@thespankmyfrank yep it's generally a bit safer not to shave, although things like dental dams and condoms are much better at blocking the virus than not shaving. I'm actually not sure whether other forms of hair removal cause fewer skin lesions though

Oh I call bullshit on that orgasm question. They're setting everyone up to never get a perfect score, because who's gonna know the exact percentage unless they get lucky? I had narrowed it down to the same two for the same reason, but no one is going to know the exact percent. About the gonorrhea in the throat though, I only knew this because I was googling 'sore throat for 3 weeks' last night!! And that was one of the possible reasons given. I was like, at least I know that's definitely not my issue! I haven't had sex of any kind in several years, thanks!
Thank you so much for your educational content and I never realized how much it would mean to me to hear someone say out loud that stealthing is not okay. The first partner I chose to be with after getting divorced, decided to stealth me and gave me an STI in the process. Haven’t been able to bring myself to even date since.
To be fair to MDJ, I've seen studies suggesting that the rate of female orgasm in heterosexual PIV intercourse can be as low as 12%. These numbers vary wildly according to study design.

I personally think that maybe in the country where this test is for, the only question they think you got wrong is more correct in many other countries and age groups. It is sad that, it definitely that many people born with a clitores don't experience organisms (sorry if my spelling is incorrect). Just myself experience 40% of my sexual life would be accurate and acceptable answer. Inexperience, pregnancy/is, stress, life, time, health, culture, and many other factors, including your partner affect this. Yes, I agree that we should ami the 90%, but reality is very different for each individual and for the best of couples. The most important thing is that it is both are agreement and respectful of each others needs and wants, in my case LOVE, UNDERSTANDING is a must. For others there are other needs. So, in my opinion you got 100% 💯 or all the questions correct. 🤔
It's orgasm/orgasms. A lot of women don't know their bodies very well, and that makes it hard to achieve orgasm. We need to teach teen girls that it's okay to masturbate. And far too many women deserves to be reminded that sex is for their pleasure too. Not just for their partner.

@@lelnel6242 Probably. No one talked much able the realities of sexual behaviour in those days. But nowadays I still think the stress is more on the mechanics. Wow - I love that this sex ed quiz was pretty darn informative. Even though I had a mom who gave me highlighted articles, drew diagrams to fully answer my questions, taught me accurate body part names and provided me with encyclopedia guides to cover all health topics, I'm wishing that I had had a course in school that really went into depth on all the details of this part of human experience. Growing up in Texas in 70's-80's there was such a lack of info that my friends who had zero clue would come to my house for a sleep over and spend the time just pouring over my "Life Cycle Library" 4 volume set to learn about their own bodies. When my own kids had "sex ed" presentations in middle school, I started opting them out due to the scare-tactic abstinence propaganda. We bought our own books for them and deferred to their Biology teacher dad for details. I taught high school for over 30 years and I cannot tell you the number of deeply disturbing gaps kids have. Thank you so much for your advocacy for actually thorough sex ed.
5:00 I know stealthing as being trans, but pretending to be your asab either because you are not out to everyone yet or to avoid dealing with difficult or even dangerous social situations. Didn't know this meaning yet, probably because me and my partner would never even consider betraying eachother like that.
Secondary school is from ages 11 to 16. You can finish school at 16 but some schools have upper and lower sixth form (11th and 12th grade) and you would be 18 when finish.
Yeah most of this wasn't present in my UK sex ed. We didn't see any vulva diagrams, I legitimately thought that the lubrication I had after orgasming was unhealthy discharge because female orgasams and pleasure was never brought up. We did learn a lot about contraption which I'm glad of but it didn't include dental dams and only included sex using a penis which as a lesbian has been the most helpful tbh.
I'm glad you are out here educating people. I went to a "good" (overfunded) school and I still didn't learn much. All I remember is them telling us always use a condom or else you will get STDs. We never learned about consent, how to have sex, lgbt people, etc. I even remember asking my mom "if you always have to use a condom all the time to avoid STDs, what do you do if you want to get pregnant" lol
well to be fair how does knowing the percentage of people who do not orgasm make her sexlife any less safe? And even if we're thinking "oh but then she might leave her partner dissatisfied" she didn't guess 100% of people always get an orgasm from intercourse. This question was very inconsequential.
Can I say this here? Here's to the time I told my husband that we don't need a condom (even though we basically have only ever used one due to my own fears), and afterwards he began dry-heaving because he was so scared that I'd be unhappy afterwards. He emotionally couldn't take it because he knows how much I don't want kids. I know he wouldn't ever stealth on me... but sex should never cause him to feel sick to his stomach.
I'm glad that he loves and respects your choices on the matter, but I also do hope that he recovered from his physical reaction quickly. I also hope that you two have found a solution that works for you both.
@@branfeather We've definitely since figured things out and it seems that until we are certain that we do not plan to have any children of our own, we will continue with condoms. We ran into another issue along the way, quite a while back, that it turns out I'm allergic to nearly every birth control. While condoms were first for my own comfort, now we use them as our main form of contraception.
Yeah, I had no idea what "stealthing" was--or that it was even a thing. So, I've been married for over 20 years, have an 8 year old, but I shouldn't be having sex? Hahaha! (I seriously loved this video. Do more quizzes, MDJ!)
It's more of a thing that teenagers and college kids are doing. Anyone mature enough to be raising a child would have the brains not to do stupid s*** like that
This will always remind me of the time when listed parts of genitalia and things in that area and their function in sex Ed. When we came to the prostate there was nothing in our textbook about the function. When we discussed it with our teacher she also said she had no idea…
I’ve always loved your content and your sensitivity and understanding nature to all people and life experiences. I just wanted to request adding a trigger warning before the video or before the scene because the “stealthing” topic felt like it came out of nowhere and i was not expecting to have to deal with that in this video lol! It’s important that people learn about it but for people like me with a long traumatic history with this topic it would have been helpful to have had a warning ❤️
I know this video was posted a bit ago but I always go back to your videos! I’m in nursing school in the mother and baby quarter so your videos are so helpful! Also, wish I had an OBGYN like you! 💜
23 Weeks?! Oh my god. In Germany, it's three months, and I've always thought that was a working compromise (although by accident) between the two involved lives, as measurable brainwaves start at about 12 weeks. At least as far as I'm informed, correct me if I'm misinformed. But 23, wow. I'm glad I have no idea how far the development is at that point.
I was also a bit surprised by that number. Don't get me wrong -- I'm a huge supporter of reproductive rights. And I know nothing about the science behind these sort of things, so I'm trusting the people much smarter than me who made these calls. But that was definitely a much higher number than I was expecting. I know I wouldn't personally be comfortable having an abortion that late (though I won't pretend to pass judgement on anyone who does -- stay safe out there
@@avryantoinette Trust me, an abortion at 23 weeks is an absolute last decision. If you've been pregnant for that long you definitively want to keep the baby. An abortion at that point is practically always done to save the life of the pregnant person. Most abortions will still happen waaay earlier than 23 weeks.
@@thespankmyfrank That's actually relieving to hear. I've never had one, and I would never judge anyone for having one (not my body, not my decision), but that's so far in, imagining it is horrifying on behalf of both.
here (Finland) it's 12 weeks as well. after that it can be done for only for medical reasons (mother's life at risk or baby has some development issue that they won't make it outside) i know someone who decided abortion somewhere at week 24 because it was found out baby had no brains - and you cannot detect that earlier (or some other similar weeks) we just passed law that you are only required to visit one doctor instead of two to have abortion. and that you don't have to stay in hospital (because it's now done medically unlike in 70s when previous law was made)
@@adchoalulle387, in Denmark it's free until 12 weeks as well, and then you have to ask for dispensation afterwards. It's usually given, but after the test for Down's syndrome at 18 weeks it becomes very difficult. Then it's only given for fatal deformities or if the mother's health is at risk. At 23 weeks, you're giving birth, not practically having a heavy period like you would at 12 weeks. It's easier to get an abortion for us, but we have to get it sooner.
I have a brother who is 9 years older than me. Once, i was 15 at the time i believe, we were going grocery shopping just talking about random stuff, and he suddenly stopped, got all serious, and told me "oral sex can also transmit STIs". I laughed so hard due to how uncomfortable he was, but hugged him and reassured him that I already knew that, but thanked him anyways for looking out for me
Ahh, the sperm thing... I was actually tracking my ovulation so I know that I ovulated 5 days after the last time I had sex with my son's dad... So yeah, they just kept swimming, just kept swimming. I thought 5 days was the upper limit though, I didn't realize it was all the way up to a week!
Me too: I know that I didn't have sex with my husband through my ovulation window as I was sick (we were trying, so I was aware of what was going on), but I fell pregnant in that month. I knew this was why she came "early" as she'd already been cooking! 😁
Could you do a video almost entirely on Endometriosis, please? Or how to tell the difference between GYN problems & things like an IBD, etc. I apologize if you've made one already.
I actually talked about this with my gastroenterologist recently! It turns out that IBD can indeed get worse on your period and there is no difference in symptoms between IBD and endometriosis. If you're having symptoms that makes you concerned you might have one, it's best to be screened for both!
I meet someone who had done stealthing to their partner in the past and had gotten them pregnant due to it, and of course this was an unwanted pregnancy which was eventually terminated and they use this experience justify them being proof life, because and I quote " i want a child and condoms don't feel as good as raw". At the time of hearing this, I was not aware that it was S.A. but still it rubbed me the wrong way and I felt that it was violating the conditional consent agreement they had with their partner. I have since distanced myself from them.
I was wondering, hasn’t there only been like one or two confirmed cases of HIV transmission via oral sex, that involved massively high viral loads and particularly bad oral issues with open wounds? Admittedly I’m in addiction health and not GUM but my own friends over in GUM and the professionals I see for myself say that that risk is so negligible as to be irrelevant. I’m curious as to what your take is on that.

My sex education involved a woman ripping up a rose, and then making us wear red plastic rings for abstinence. Needless to say, my class had the most teen pregnancies! I guess guilt and plastic rings don't work to educate kids on being safe. One of the best advice my mom ever gave me... she told me I didn't need to wait till marriage, but to wait to have sex for when I found someone I love, it gave sex a gravity and set an expectation for a partner. I think that's a very realistic thing to expect for a teen, and it's a good way to empower girls. they have the say for who they are with, who they let touch them, and they will only do it with peope who meet those expectations. I ended up waiting till I was 17 almost 18, one of the oldest in my grade to lose it! I think empowering works better than guilting, but proper education will always be the best!
I've yet to meet ANYBODY in my lifetime who used dental dams or condoms for oral. Sure it's the safe thing to do but nobody does it. Somebody needs to invent a new solution that people might actually use!
I use condoms for oral every time and I've been married for 17 years. Flavored condoms are awesome! I have a history of abuse and a taste-induced gag reflex, I'd rather not throw up on my husband, ya know? It's a compromise we make so that we can both enjoy oral.
I’m 53 and learned a few things today. We didn’t have sex ed. You learned from your friends. I hope young women today are more comfortable with their sexuality. Nothing wrong with enjoying a healthy sex life.
Yeah that question you got "wrong" seems suspicious to me. I'd be interested to see the results of a poll of your audience on this MDJ. I HIGHLY doubt 60% of women have orgasms with intercourse (and I am envisioning a pretty broad definition of what intercourse might include - foreplay, oral sex, clitoral stimulation, vibrators etc). Given the absolute *perfect* circumstances it's possible, but it's definitely a rare occurrence for me. 🤷♀️
Intercourse is everything sex is a broad thing, you think about penetration wich is not sex as a whole and should never be if you fuck someone with a vagina
I recall the question being % not having orgasm,xP I hope you’ve exlored your body on your own too and that you have a partner you feel safe exploring together with. It is easier to help your partner help you if you know what you need:)
If you haven’t, can you make a video about tilted uterus? I was just informed mine is tilted and they said it can cause things to be more painful/ uncomfortable (periods, exams, sex, etc…?) I’d like to know of this can also cause higher chance of breech presentation, miscarriage, etc… Thank you!
Hi, I have a tilted uterus too. I have 2 children. I did have shoulder dystocia with my first and opted for a c section for my second. This might have been their sizes rather than the tilted cervix though. I got pregnant pretty easily...I was lucky as I also have polycystic ovaries and an interactive thyroid too, so it is definitely possible to get pregnant and give birth too xx
Just had to say that when I read "exams" I honestly thought you meant like a maths exam or something. Took me far too long to realise what you actually meant 😂😂
My friend found out about this after her 2nd c-section!! She went into labour each time but couldn't deliver. My first was breech, which is unusual apparently and I wondered about this, but how do they test for it/discover it?
I didn't know Pelvic Inflammatory Disease could increase infertility. I had PID a few months ago (I'm not sexually active so don't really know how it happened) but that really sucks. I will struggle with pregnancy anyway due to a hereditary disease so PID is just something else to add to the list of why I may be unable to carry children naturally.
PID can happen with lots of different bacteria, it just so happens that STIs are the most common. It occurs when bacteria enters through the cervix if it's disturbed for whatever reason (period, insertion of an IUD, etc.) or even from medical procedures involving the uterus. If you're unsure, ask your doctor. That's what they're there for. No shame :)
I think things like Endometriosis can also cause PID so watch out for that as well. It's like pulling teeth to try and get tested even with severe symptoms though

If somebody refuses to get an STI test before you have sex it's generally a good sign you probably shouldn't be having sex with them
Sooo important!
It's impressive that it's observable for that long. Thank you!
Would that mean you had to provide a semen sample or would a cheak swab be enough?
How does a 'reference sample' help?
@@puck6380 It allows them to determine if any semen found is from the rapist or the partner. That way they don’t waste time and resources running it through databases to see if there’s a match and so on.
@@cockathiel5319 Can't the partner just provide a sample? And if they haven't had a different partner they will just know the semen is from the rapist?
Tbh secondary (11-16) school sex education isn't too brilliant here in the UK. Mostly had to learn from books tbh so these quizzes existing confuse me. Nobody I know has ever taken this kind of tests I didn't know they exist

Secondary school globally pretty garbage for sex ed. Actually no, education up until like college level is pretty bad.
This specific one seemed like it was maybe based around things you learn watching the show sex Ed which is actually a pretty good show
Yep, I didn't get any sex education in secondary school, we had a little bit in primary school, and it was alright, but not great.

I hadn't heard that term either. It saddens me that this culture is so pro-rape
@@Boobookittyfluff Or in short therm dating. It is a kink for the guys or a power trip (the delight to "dupe" her). A lot of men do not like to use condoms (feels less intense) and they do not like to be told they can only have sex when they use protection. So they find a way to sneak out of it.
There are men that brag about it on social media.

Hi! mother to two boys here, now 12 and 14 yo, no daughter or any female other than me.
I really wanted them to understand the reality of it, the true reality of how much it freaking sucks, so that they can be understanding, helpful, empathetic and compassionate, and not judgemental jerks.
as a teen, i think teaching kids about how babies are made and the lgbt+ community by 7 mainly because that’s when i was the most confused/curious
What is your opinion of your parents’ technique of leaving books around for you?
@@meredithingram9384 considering that was all they did, I think it was bad parenting. If they would have done it and then had a conversation with me when I read them, it would have been fine.

Exactly!!!
Yeah I wish people didn’t fake it…makes a lot of people not realize they have to make a bit more effort. Think there’s a big percentage of us that need other things to have an orgasm.

ANNOYED. that someone was touching me 🤣 I'd grumble and like swat him away cuz I thought I was having an annoying dream
Once I was awake awake I appreciated it but I'm a heavy sleeper and take several minutes to fully wake up, so we just always wait until we're both wide awake now lol
Sometimes you try things that you think you'll like and they just don't work out.
I think women is %60 and men is %90
It's definitely lower than 60%.
@@chloesanders05only about 18.4% of women do and 95% of men
I have heard several times the number of 30 % (females that can orgasm on a regular base from vaginal penetration only).
I think consent is even MORE important to teach to young people BECAUSE of people who may abuse them. Giving them the power to say “no” is important.
I've never heard of what the fries acronym is (or the haircut metaphor, but I'm pretty sure I can guess what that is because there was a borderline traumatic scene in boyhood in which that main character had his hair forcibly shaven off)
No idea what the haircut metaphor is, but the FRIES acronym is this
Consent is:
Freely given
Reversible
Informed
Enthusiastic
Specific

Honestly, I was quite surprised the number's supposed to be that high.
Lol, from talking with women with cishet male partners......the number is more like 5%
(Though the lesbian and bi partners raise the average quite considerably, lmao)

I had a partner that just didn't put the condom on at all. He got it out, pretended to put it on and in the heat of the moment, I didn't notice. Turns out he gave me chlamydia. I had no idea until a year later when I got screened because I was starting a new relationship. No symptoms whatsoever. But because I screened every year at the time and he was the only partner in between the negative and positive tests I'm pretty sure that's how I got it

Question for MDJ: If going on the pill prevents you ovulating, does that mean you have more eggs in your 'store' when you try for a baby than if you had had years of periods?
I have always wondered this as well.
Such a good question!

@@-._.-KRiS-._.- me too. I didn't think there were any risks from oral sex, apart from herpes!
This is exactly how I got systemic Herpes 26 years ago. It has shown up as mouth ulcers, swollen lips (glad I wasn't working then!), genital ulcers, rectal ulcers Shingles and neuropathy (i.e. extreme pain along any nerve bundle)
I'm so glad I was taught this in sex ed. We were taught by a retired OB/GYN who was not afraid to answer our questions, and I'm 100% sure that's why there were no teen pregnancies or STIs in my grade.
MDJ, thank you so much for everything you do, I really appreciate your videos!
Meanwhile, in Greece: "Sex ed? What is that?"
(Seriously, you can graduate without having heard anything about sex or reproductive systems.)
Yikes. 😬 I'm sorry to hear that.
"You can have a little sex, as a treat" 😆
[e-mails the website:] "Thanks for the offer, I'm sure you're wonderful, but geez! I haven't even seen what you look like!"
"As a treat." Haha. Hopefully it's not a chore. Or worse yet, a job.
MDJ: I was wondering if you could talk more about PCOS. I know you’ve touch on it but I feel there is a lot of misinformation or young people are just not aware about it. Like early signs/symptoms, treatments, birth control, getting pregnant/infertility all that jazz!
She has a whole video about it

Can we talk about the ridiculously cute uterus plushy MDJ just nonchalantly picked up and started waving around?
I NEED one 😭😭
It looks like it is crochet ;)
Oh I call bullshit on that orgasm question. They're setting everyone up to never get a perfect score, because who's gonna know the exact percentage unless they get lucky? I had narrowed it down to the same two for the same reason, but no one is going to know the exact percent. About the gonorrhea in the throat though, I only knew this because I was googling 'sore throat for 3 weeks' last night!! And that was one of the possible reasons given. I was like, at least I know that's definitely not my issue! I haven't had sex of any kind in several years, thanks!
Don't let an ignorant quiz tell you how to live your life. I'm glad I subscribed to you, Doctor Jones. I learn something new when I watch.
Thank you so much for your educational content and I never realized how much it would mean to me to hear someone say out loud that stealthing is not okay. The first partner I chose to be with after getting divorced, decided to stealth me and gave me an STI in the process. Haven’t been able to bring myself to even date since.
Sorry 😥
That’s terrible 😔
To be fair to MDJ, I've seen studies suggesting that the rate of female orgasm in heterosexual PIV intercourse can be as low as 12%. These numbers vary wildly according to study design.
If you failed the quiz, I'm guessing that it's because you've simply forgotten more than the rest of us will ever know.
She failed only one queston: How many women have orgasm during sex.
I believe that knowing this percantage does not make anyone more or less qualified to have sex or says much about ones knowledge of sex ed :-)
Or the quiz is bs lol
The quiz isn't very accurate lol

She only got one question wrong, and she was debating which of two answers they would pick... so I would say, TECHNICALLY, she didn't fail. lol
7:00 Get screened even if you think you’re in a monogamous relationship. True story and it ended me in the hospital with an infection.
Love this! A lot... Ok all of these I would not have known in middle school. My kid is definitely going to be more educated on this stuff than me, I'll make sure of it.
I work in pathology. I remember the time a microbiologist started yelling at everyone to "come see". She'd managed to find live trichomonas under the microscope. It was pretty amazing to witness, since it's usually dead by the time you analyse it like that, but it just felt weird to see people so excited and I'm sitting there thinking about the poor patient 😅
I have seen live sperm and live trich 🫣
I'd love to see mama doctor Jones react to some scenes from the show sex Ed and give her input on how informative it is
I loved your crochet fem rep system lol sooo cute! I think I scored 9/12 cause some stuff like the weeks to practice abortion and percentage of women having orgasms was a bit arbitrary IMO, others didn't know and just learned today, thanks!
I'd order it as a plush in a heartbeat... it's adorable!
I had no idea that stealthing was even a thing until watching this video, and I’m glad you took the time to go over it. Unbelievable that someone would think of doing that to someone

I didn't notice the little hair but as you pointed it out now I can't stop looking at it LMAO 🤣
I think that's partly because the clitorus doesn't get the same respect or education about that the penis does
It's orgasm/orgasms.
A lot of women don't know their bodies very well, and that makes it hard to achieve orgasm. We need to teach teen girls that it's okay to masturbate. And far too many women deserves to be reminded that sex is for their pleasure too. Not just for their partner.

Thank you for excellent sex ed advice, as always. Just want to share with somebody who will celebrate with me: I am due for my hysterectomy next week after 4+ years of dysphoria!
Yay! That is certainly something to celebrate :)
"You can have a little sex"
How do you ever can have a little sex? Either you have sex or not, there's nothing like a little sex!
completely agree, size does not matter
Maybe it's another term for a quickie? Or maybe it's what you're doing sunday morning, where you're technically too tired/lazy, but still do it?
I think it relates to the amount of times
or maybe it is some constraint play like "you can only use one finger" or "you can only touch the tip"
Maybe they mean a quickie...? Just one, here and there?
We never had lessons like this in the UK when I was at school (40+ years ago) - just biology. Sex Ed was for sixth form students (16+). I only got most of the questions right because my children had to learn this stuff.
So education in the UK got better and more progressive in those 40 years?
@@lelnel6242 Probably. No one talked much able the realities of sexual behaviour in those days. But nowadays I still think the stress is more on the mechanics. My daughter asked me at the age of 12 whether oral sex was compulsory. I’ve always told my kids that people should be able to talk openly to a sexual partner and they should respect each other, and take responsibility for their actions.

@@deborahtk4h Thanks for that comment mum. 🙄😂 But you did always give us great advice on how to approach relationships for ourselves when we were teens and adults.
I am _astounded_ that I had _accurately_ learned that whole thing about gonorrhea leading to infertility via PID scarring by reading a fantasy novel, written by a man, published in 1983! o.O I guess he must have known someone that happened to.
I want to know more about that book

3:27 "Please identify this based on a vague arrow" feels kind of similar to tests that ask you to identify something in a horribly photocopied picture
That threw me off when you described sperm as cockroaches. Lol 😆
I didn’t knew that hiv was transmitted during delivery, I would love to see a video about mother-child transmissible diseases!
Its also transmissible through breastmilk
It is why there is such a high rate of HIV+ children in the poorer countries in Africa where treatment is practically non-existent.😥
Lol Dr June has pulled out the uterine stuffy. ROFLOL Gotta love the eyeballs on it, projection.
That is the happiest uterus I've ever seen. 😀 Amazing plushie. This wasn't a terrible quiz for the age group.
Adorable plushie, you might even call it… a cute-erus
I’ll see myself out now
My uterus certainly has never been that happy lol.
Must have finally gotten that baby implanted :D
Yeah she should have a uterus plushie with an angry face to pull out when discussing angry topics like PID or PCOS 😅
It’s important people understand that stealthing is assault. Thanks for educating us.
I love your uterus plushie!! Thank you Dr Jones for educating us about different reproductive health problems!
MDJ arguing for her grade at the end is very university student hahah
well to be fair how does knowing the percentage of people who do not orgasm make her sexlife any less safe?
This is a welcomed break from a certain trial. Thank you for this upload, it was highly entertaining!
Anyone mature enough to be raising a child would have the brains not to do stupid s*** like that
@@Ratt54 Would they, though? Maturity doesn't always win out over ego.
@@Ratt54 nooo... it's pretty much everyone doing that. there is a lot of rape in our culture, and it's increasing
This will always remind me of the time when listed parts of genitalia and things in that area and their function in sex Ed. When we came to the prostate there was nothing in our textbook about the function. When we discussed it with our teacher she also said she had no idea…
Doesn't the prostate add something to the semen to help with sperm survival
This is important. Thanks for making this!!
I didn't know that if the HIV viral load is undetectable it's unlike to be transmitted. More info on HIV please! Loved this video :)
It should be “Sex Ed quiz fails gynaecologist” haha :) great video!
I love that you made it clear that stealthing is rape! More people need to understand this!!!
23 Weeks?!
I've never had one, and I would never judge anyone for having one (not my body, not my decision), but that's so far in, imagining it is horrifying on behalf of both.
here (Finland) it's 12 weeks as well. after that it can be done for only for medical reasons (mother's life at risk or baby has some development issue that they won't make it outside)
i know someone who decided abortion somewhere at week 24 because it was found out baby had no brains - and you cannot detect that earlier (or some other similar weeks)
we just passed law that you are only required to visit one doctor instead of two to have abortion. and that you don't have to stay in hospital (because it's now done medically unlike in 70s when previous law was made)
@@adchoalulle387, in Denmark it's free until 12 weeks as well, and then you have to ask for dispensation afterwards.
Why did I read that in Finding Nemo's Dorie's voice? XD
Me too: I know that I didn't have sex with my husband through my ovulation window as I was sick (we were trying, so I was aware of what was going on), but I fell pregnant in that month. I knew this was why she came "early" as she'd already been cooking! 😁
All I can imagine is the Jaws theme playing as the sperm sneak up on an unsuspecting egg
Aside from your part, which is amazing as always, the quiz was actually quite informative, and quite accurate.
As a woman in her 30s living in Oklahoma, I love your educational and informative content MDJ.

I heard; they are common in womans jails/ prisons. From a u-tuber who spent time in both.
I recall the question being % not having orgasm,xP
I hope you’ve exlored your body on your own too and that you have a partner you feel safe exploring together with. It is easier to help your partner help you if you know what you need:)
How could you possibly independently verify that one?
I love how into this quiz you get! I'm the same with these types of things, even when it's not anything worth getting excited about. 😆
If you haven’t, can you make a video about tilted uterus? I was just informed mine is tilted and they said it can cause things to be more painful/ uncomfortable (periods, exams, sex, etc…?) I’d like to know of this can also cause higher chance of breech presentation, miscarriage, etc…
Thank you!
@@thomasirvine01 I have one son he was a c section and I just had 2 miscarriages in a row so I’m wondering if that affects it.
My friend found out about this after her 2nd c-section!! She went into labour each time but couldn't deliver. My first was breech, which is unusual apparently and I wondered about this, but how do they test for it/discover it?
I like how they had pictures from the series of “Sex Education” on Netflix in the quiz! lol
I know you've been doing this a long time but I appreciate it so much that you use gender inclusive language
