Well way to put incorrect info out there. The B means backcrossed. A F1B has a father that is a goldendoodle and a mother poodle. This 75% poodle mix is for the most hypoallergenic possible mix. Mother, father, doesnt matter which is which.
Thanks for posting this. We just got an F1B and I was thinking our breeder lied to us but this lady apparently doesn't know what she is talking about.......
Chase Jordan that’s what I’ve been reading, thank you. Now I’m more upset than ever. Getting my pup this wknd and not sure what to do now since he’s an F1. I wanted an F1B, but I was told by the breeder that he will not shed much, although the F1B will hardly shed. What would you recommend?
@@eviem70 An F1 will shed lightly. But much less then a golden retriever would. I would say the shedding would be manageable. But that really defeats the purpose of going to a breeder for a hypoallergenic dog. That is a few hundred dollar and a 15 year commitment. If you havent gave your breeder the money yet, I would probably back out, if hes a good guy just be honest, if not make up an excuse. F1b's and F2b's usually do not shed at all. I wouldn't worry about a deposit or the breeders feelings. I would keep looking for the perfect dog. He'll be your friend for more then a decade.
@@beckym6751 Yes, you have an F1B. Or could be an F2B if the mother's parents are both golden doodles instead of one golden retriever and one poodle. Difference between the two is not significant. In my opinion you have the best option.
I have an F2 goldendoodle. I love her so much. She is a mini so about up to my knee in height. She’s the most active but loving dog I have ever had. Everyone says she’s spoiled but I don’t think so. I just buy her toys to help with her being playful.
I know you posted this 2 years ago and you may not see this. However, I am looking into an f2 mini and was wondering about the shedding. I heard that f1/f2 are more likely to shed because they have more retriever than f1b. Thank you.
We have a F2 standard(55 pounds), He had the wavy hair when a puppy, now it has the small tight curls like a poodle. Thanks for the great explanation of the different types of GD.

Lilly Poole They require a lot of attention. They are very intelligent, sweet and energetic. Train them as soon as possible, unlike me a single dude who just went with the flow. Spend a lot of time burning their energy out, my guy is almost two and he’s a buzz ball haha. Also, they tend to have digestive issues. I recommend starting off with special digestive food. My dog can only really handle that type of food. My f1 is the best dog I could ever imagine. Super loyal, loving and mushy. Pour a lot of love into him/her and you’ll get it back ten fold. I have an F2 Goldendoodle, both her parents were Goldendoodles. Se looks like any typical doodle. Her hair is a lot like your F1 :) they're such amazing dogs. We are looking to get a Bernedoodle soon.
Thanks for the explanation between the different types of golden doodles. The question I have is regarding the FI, you mentioned the mom is the poodle and the dad is the golden. Is there ever a mom golden and a dad poodle? If so does this change the coat type, temperament, or body style. I love the block like head look with the light cream in color and black eyes. i mean they are all beautiful dogs to me, but just wondering as I am looking to be an owner of one of these beautiful babies in the near future. Temperament is determined by the parents temperament usually and I think they do dad's Golden's because they are bigger than females are but I don't know if they ever have mom's as goldens and dads as poodles .each puppy usually can take more of certain traits from one or the other... For example max has more of golden snout and body while Bella is more poodle looking 🤗
I have a F1 mini golden doodle. Mom is an English Cream Golden Retriever and father was a small white poodle. Our Benny is white, wavy and so sweet. He is also very soft and sheds very little. He's about 35 pounds.

Why does an f1 gdoodle have to have a Mom as the poodle and Dad a golden retriever? Does it matter which parent is poodle or which one is the golden retriever?
I feel like everyone wants an F1b goldendoodle but I personally own an F1 and I think she’s the best and the cutest. I feel like F1 Goldendoodles are underrated :(( their hair is way easier to maintain. Where my F1 Goldendoodles at ❤️
MIke, I am with you. I have a mini F1 goldendoodle who weighs 35lb. The first breeding of the golden a poodle give these pups a hybrid vigor that keep them from getting some of the genetic disease that either of the parents carry. The whole idea of an F1b is just for really allergic people to have another option. My little F1 is so great, so smart. They are lovely family dogs.. People just do not understand this and spend about as much time buying dog as they do when they get a toothbrush. So you guys remember F1 are the best dogs ever.. You lose that hybrid vigor with the second breeding of the doodle. F1 also are much harder to groom since their hair is like velcro. I have nothing against them.... they are lovely dogs but stop thinking that somehow they are better then the F1.. If you care about the health of the dog then you would want a F1..
Does the F1b have to have dad is a Goldendoodle and dad poodle because I was told my Mia was an F1B and her Mom is the poodle and dad a golden doodle I’m going to do an DNA but I just wanted to know if the Mom can be a poodle if not I won’t have to do a DNA
My F1 does not shed at all/ please stop putting out this info.. Some F1 shed but many don't ... Fb1 have their own problems, they may not shed but they have very curly hair which can lead to more grooming and just take them our in the country or swimming and everything gets stuck to their curl. It is like velcro. I have many friends with both.. Most of my friends with F1 do not shed but of course some do, but usually not as much as the golden retriever.
I have an all black Portuguese Water Dog, and I can barely tell the difference between my PWD and your Max! Poodles were bred from PWD'S, thus why they are so similar. I just love their wavy/curly puffs of hair! PS I can tell how much you love your Pups. ❤
Hi I have a f1 her name is Bailey she Sheds so much she is 10 mouth’s do you know if it will stop is that her loosing her puppy Coat her hair is everywhere but she is the best dog
F1’s are a great companion and designer breed they are the true golden doodles. for F1b might as well just go with a standard poodle, same goes for the f2’s just get a standard poodle instead.
Micro and mini are the same just bread to mini or micro poodles but their hair and traits are the same just mini versions and tiny. Traditional mini are more Bella's size 30 to 40 lbs
My mini is between 15 and 20 pounds. Her mom was only 11 pounds and her dad was thinking 25 pounds. Mine was the runt of their first litter. She was the only red one. I almost didn't pick her and chose another instead. As they grew I would ask the owner to send updates. I asked her to lay them in her lap on their back and rub their tummy. My Maggie seemed to like it more and so I changed my mind and chose her. Have never regretted my choice!
THANK YOU. I NEVER KNEW WHICH I HAD BUT NOW I KNOW SHE'S AN F1. YOU SEE I GOT HER AT A PET STORE ON A FRIDAY NIGHT. SATURDAY MORNING WE WENT TO THE VET AND GUESS WHAT? SHE HAD PNEMONIA. I REFUSED TO CALL THE PET STORE. I WASN'T RETURNING HER, I LOVED HER THE MOMENT I SAW HER! I NEEDED HER AND SHE NEEDED ME. LOVE IS HAVING A DOODLE TO CALL YOUR OWN!
Mini ones are great because they don't take up to much room so if they play inside it's fine the bigger they are the harder it is to play inside with them because they are just so big ♥️♥️♥️ something to think about I think medium size is nice though because they can do alot of activity's like run and hike because they are more sturdy!
Get a mini F1. This is the best dog. They range from 15/18 to 45 lbs. Mine is 35. So you have the best of both. Mine does not shed. They have a hybrid vigor that is thought to keep them from passing down the disease common in both breeds, but use a good breeder. You can get almost any size with these puppies depending on the size of the poodle. I have a lovely mini who is extremely smart and still big enough to run and swim with my grandson who is 10. They love each other. These are usually more expensive but worth it.. Save your money.. Good breeders who have done this for a long time, know their dogs and litters and when you pick up your puppy they can give you a pretty good idea what size your puppy will be and if he will be more or less curly. My self, I would not get a standard. They can be very big... 50 to 70 lbs.. but with a F1 mini you can get almost any size.
Hi quick question , I’m buying a F1b goldendoodle the mom is a F1 English goldendoodle and the dad is a Standard poodle . Puppies are 6 days old right now and the puppies will be F1B English goldendoodles my question is right now puppies have straight hair . I want mine to be curly does there hair change as they grow? Will they be curly hair or straight hair someone please help thank you
Yes actually I have a video I just did talking about Goldendoodle hair I show you that my F1 actually had straight hair and it gets curlier as they get older I don't have an English Goldendoodle but I imagine it the same! Definitely go to that video to see references if what my dogs looked like as puppies
Honestly even if the parents hair is one way each puppy is different bella had the curliest hair and her mom's hair was shaggy and straight so it's hard to really know
We have two 3rd generation Goldendoodles at home. Cali female and Butterscotch aka Scotty male both 2.5 years old. I love them so much had them since 8 wks old.
Do you groom your doodles yourself? If so, can you do a video? I have F1(retriever mom/Goldendoodle dad) and F1b puppy my f1 is super curly like a poodle and easy to mat. Not sure what f1b will be but it’s looking like it will be very curly as well.
Hey, I need some input. I have a Begal Lab Mix puppy. She is a all year round shedder and my whole family hates her hair it ALLL over the house and they want to give her away to a family with other dog. So should I get a Goldendoodle?
If your worried about goldendoodles shedding most don't I have heard of owners who happen to get one that does but both of mine don't only one time when they were puppies did they shed balls of fluff but super easy to pick up ...
Does F1b have a slimmer face than F1? The poodle has a slimmer face than Golden Retriever. What about the flexibility? Poodles can sit like humans because they have really flexible hip joints. They also have a springy gait when they run. Does F1 have that too? F1b for sure has that as I observed.
I have never owned a poodle but honestly it's all about how you teach them more than the breed but both breeds are amazing goldendoodles are my fave tho 😉
is there a cross breed where they do an F1 Goldendoodle with a Golden retriever? What would that be called? I wonder if they still wouldn't shed but would have more of a golden retriever look about them. I have a family cavoodle (Cavalier King Charles x Poodle) but will eventually want my own one day that's bigger and less of a pain to maintain with clippings. Would love any feedback :)
If you have a doodle with a tight curl your gonna want to get them groomed almost monthly- it’s a very hard coat to keep up. My doodle is like her golden one- the tight curls also trap smells🤢Opt for a wavy loose coat.
I take mine every 4-6 weeks, if you get a really curly one you’ll need to brush him/ her about every other day or the hair will get tangles/ matted. Also depends on how long you want to keep their hair. The longer, the more frequent the grooming (closer to every 4 weeks) but it’s soooo cute.
Great video! I had a question let’s say I have a F1B curly hair hypoallergenic and I breed it with another F1B would this offspring or probability of the offspring coming out curly and hypoallergenic be high or am I better off breeding my F1B with a poodle to keep the poodle traits
I would say yes it would be a high chance of being hypoallergenic but I would just breed with a poodle if you are ok with the poodle traits. You get some of the health vigor from the poodle too if you breed back.
Great video! She is so sweet sitting next to u 🥰🥰. I had always been leery of the f1 thinking it may shed some. With you having both the f1 and f2, you really don’t see that much of a difference in shedding??? Thank you!
As a dog groomer this is trash. It’s just a mixed dog, f1 f1b means nothing literally nothing. I’ve groomed “f1” doodle that looked just like her “f1b” 🙄 there are some doodles that have almost like a terrier coat where it’s very wiry with a little curl. It’s just a game of genetics. Last example I groomed two cockapoos today both look like cockers with more facial hair and hair all around, my mom has a cockapoo he looks nothing like either dog. I guess more poodle but with a straight hair type. So all I’m saying is if you’re going to a get one don’t base it off of that there’s no way to tell for sure what you’re going to get just get the dog because you love them
Aliceia Callaway in your opinion what dog is easiest when it comes to grooming and daily maintenance fur/hair wise? I was thinking to get a toy golden doodle because they live long. Otherwise I wanted to get a King Charles spaniel, but the heart issues they have has made me hesitant.
O Love well it really depends on your lifestyle too. Are you active? Are you gone most of the day? What are you looking for in personality? Do you live in a house or apartment? There are no toy golden doodles so if someone is trying to sell you that run away. There are smaller golden doodles that get pretty small like 30lbs but there aren’t going too much smaller then that. Have you owned a dog before? If you want to message me on Instagram you can and I can give you a better answer. @LNLSpawinc
I have a 4 1/2 Y.O. mini F1B Goldendoodle. She is a great dog, very smart, but a bit mischievous. My biggest problem is matting. Even if we go out for just a couple minutes when it's barely sprinkling, she gets mats. I brush her, she is cute and fluffy, then 5 minutes later it looks like I never brushed her. It's frustrating, but I still love Luna to pieces.
honestly I just googled golden doodles near me and looked for some. my first I found a local breeder in az and my second I had to go to Utah for. look on facebook for golden doodle groups and they usually have breeders they personally have used and recommend
I have a goldendoodle to goldendoodle. She is a mini. She is about 18 pounds. Her mom only 11. She looks like your red one. Mine is a little more curly than I would have wanted but when she was a pup she didn't look curly. I find when she is combed she looks a bushy mess. Her neck and feet are very hard to comb. BUT, she is the best dog I have EVER had. Very loving. Good watch dog yet does not bark over everything. I used to the my maltese was the best dog ever. One of them was super great then the male nit so much. My maltese has now passed. My husband divorced me and he took the male maltese (thank God, he peed on everything just because). Now just me & Maggie Mae...my sweet goldendoodle. Never want another kind of dog. So sweet!

Doodles do shed; maybe only 10 to 20% of it ends up on the floor; their hair is caught in their fur, which you comb out by brushing weekly.

We have a silver phantom f1b goldendoodle and love him he's dark grey and white
Does the F1b have to have dad is a Goldendoodle and dad poodle because I was told my Mia was an F1B and her Mom is the poodle and dad a golden doodle I’m going to do an DNA but I just wanted to know if the Mom can be a poodle if not I won’t have to do a DNA
Can’t wait to get my golden doodle
F1’s shed while F1b’s hardly ever shed a things.
My F1 only shed as a puppy, it depends on who's genes they take after the most each puppy in the litter can be different 🤗
No, mine doesn’t shed at all
I have an all black Portuguese Water Dog, and I can barely tell the difference between my PWD and your Max!
I have a beautifulGolden doodle
😊🎉
Its a mixed breed dog..thats why you never know what kind hair or temperament you get...just get a standard poodle
F1’s are a great companion and designer breed they are the true golden doodles. for F1b might as well just go with a standard poodle, same goes for the f2’s just get a standard poodle instead.
Yo never mentioned mini and micro. I want one 9-15 lbs max. Love them but in the city I need compact. Can you comment them?
What is a double doodle Mom mixed with a poodle called?
❤️❤️❤️
😊 i love golden doodles looking for more information to get one in the future. Thank you for sharing 👍🏻
I have more goldendoodle videos that could be helpful! I love doodles they are so sweet and amazing! You will love them! 🤗
im trynna convince my parents to get a medium goldendoodle but they want mini ones
Mini ones are great because they don't take up to much room so if they play inside it's fine the bigger they are the harder it is to play inside with them because they are just so big ♥️♥️♥️ something to think about I think medium size is nice though because they can do alot of activity's like run and hike because they are more sturdy!
Minis are actually the medium size, while standard is the biggest, and toy being the smallest.
Same!! But I’m getting a mini:(
Thank you for sharing💛
Do you're dogs breath heavily while resting?
We have a 10 month old and he always has breathed hard while sleeping, but much more in the summer.
if they had just been running maybe but not usually
can goldendoodle adults stay home by themself for 6 hours everyday except weekend??
BONDBEAUTYS JUNGLE yess I just watched it😍 thank you for sharing .. but I’m kinda confused since the mom has straight hair and the dad curly hair 😩😩
BONDBEAUTYS JUNGLE is it ok if I send you some picture on Instagram?
Honestly even if the parents hair is one way each puppy is different bella had the curliest hair and her mom's hair was shaggy and straight so it's hard to really know
Yasss!!! Definitely ♥️I love puppy pics
I have a F1b golden doodle named Sulley and I love him SO much! ❤️❤️
I have a minidoodle...shes spoiled and very clingy...shes 16 weeks old..Her name is Mazie Grace
We have two 3rd generation Goldendoodles at home. Cali female and Butterscotch aka Scotty male both 2.5 years old. I love them so much had them since 8 wks old.
My f1 definitely sheds they are not hypoallergenic like ppl say bc they have half golden retriever!! Mine has a ton of the retriever traits!
my golden doodle doesn’t shed like at all
Is the shedding manageable tho?
I have a 3 month and a couple week old goldendoodle named max also he's a F1. Brindle color. Amazing dog.
Im thinking of getting a goldendoodle...
Is the f1 still non to low shedding? And hypoallergenic?
Yes my doodles only sheds every once and a while and it's a fluff ball usually only when his hair is long 💕
I have a first generation goldendoodle who’s about 7 months. What’s the best way to train the Goldendoodle?
Obviously she just wanted to make media vs informing accurately. Non sense
What is an f3 Goldendoodle bred with a poodle?
Do you groom your doodles yourself? If so, can you do a video? I have F1(retriever mom/Goldendoodle dad) and F1b puppy my f1 is super curly like a poodle and easy to mat. Not sure what f1b will be but it’s looking like it will be very curly as well.
You forgot the male golden retriever and a female golden doodle . What number would be that
Hello, I have a 3 months f1 goldendoodle, what dry food you recommend?
Hey, I need some input. I have a Begal Lab Mix puppy. She is a all year round shedder and my whole family hates her hair it ALLL over the house and they want to give her away to a family with other dog. So should I get a Goldendoodle?
If your worried about goldendoodles shedding most don't I have heard of owners who happen to get one that does but both of mine don't only one time when they were puppies did they shed balls of fluff but super easy to pick up ...
We have golden doodle she is 8 months old and she is F1B , SHE AMAZING
Awwwww♥️
Do either F1 or F1b shed?
I have a golden doodle his hair is just wavy but beautiful. He is a golden color.
Aww I love it !
Awww They are so pretty iwant the F1B
Standra size
Does F1b have a slimmer face than F1? The poodle has a slimmer face than Golden Retriever. What about the flexibility? Poodles can sit like humans because they have really flexible hip joints. They also have a springy gait when they run. Does F1 have that too? F1b for sure has that as I observed.
So I’m wondering what is the best behaved dog because I’m either gonna get a male poodle or a male goldendoodle
I have never owned a poodle but honestly it's all about how you teach them more than the breed but both breeds are amazing goldendoodles are my fave tho 😉
I'm getting a toy F1 B Goldendoodle in a month!! :) I am soooooooooo excited!!!
Omg so cute!!! congratulations!!!
So fun! Congratulations!!!! I'm sure you wony be disappointed!
A toy F1 B Goldendoodle!??
Thinking about getting one......great information, thanks
is there a cross breed where they do an F1 Goldendoodle with a Golden retriever? What would that be called? I wonder if they still wouldn't shed but would have more of a golden retriever look about them. I have a family cavoodle (Cavalier King Charles x Poodle) but will eventually want my own one day that's bigger and less of a pain to maintain with clippings. Would love any feedback :)
We are on a wait list for a an F1B Goldendoodles and we are sooooo excited!! How often do you take them to be groomed or do you do it yourself?
I am getting a f1 goldendoodle soon very excited
Great video! She is so sweet sitting next to u 🥰🥰. I had always been leery of the f1 thinking it may shed some. With you having both the f1 and f2, you really don’t see that much of a difference in shedding??? Thank you!
honestly I didn't but I have heard some are worst than others! mine both shed the puppy coat and then thats it its just a luck of the draw :D
@LNLSpawinc
Aliceia Callaway thank you!!!! I’ll definitely reach out!
My Boy River is a golden doodle...miniature poodle dada and golden doodle mama. He was voted most friendly by his peers
I'm on a waiting list for a mini goldendoodle and I can't wait!
How exciting!!!
Thank you for sharing. I've been looking to get a golden doodle and this helped alot 🙏
Bondbeautys, can you please sharing links to where to purchase a Goldendoodle?
honestly I just googled golden doodles near me and looked for some. my first I found a local breeder in az and my second I had to go to Utah for.
look on facebook for golden doodle groups and they usually have breeders they personally have used and recommend
BONDBEAUTYS JUNGLE thank you so much!
So sweet!
Yes I love goldendoodles they are so very sweet and wonderful companions ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️I bet yours just loves you!
Can someone tell me what a female golden retriever and a male standard poodle would be?
@Harry K thank you very much!
I am looking to adopt an adult goldendoodle. My gsd/lab died 5 months ago and I am so lonely
Awww so sweet that your adopting ! I wish you the best of luck! I'm so sorry for you doggy loss 💔
I love your dogs,so adorable they are awsome🥰
