Alex supernatural is definitely not dumb! I mean i'm surprised you even said that considering you have seen one season of riverdale! You know what dumb is! But you're right that 13 seasons is far-fetched. I mean i'm a fan and i still watch it and... well it has a LOT going on but i still love it because compare to everything else i have seen i have reached to a conclusion; the worst season of supernatural is better than the best season of every other tv show i have seen(if that makes any sense). So if you ask me, i strongly and undoubtedly suggest you continue watching supernatural until season 5(where it was supposed to end). It's flawless!

Nope I got that immediately and bawled like a baby when it happened. I've been in this show since it came on either before or after charmed on Sunday night for episode 1 in 2005. I think they reran the first episode before episode 2, and since I have and always will be a charmed girl, shit I have a triquetra literally tattooed on my wrist ffs, supernatural was right up my alley. And it came perfectly bc I know season 8, which was in 05, was the final season of charmed or maybe I thought it was the final season, and it was season 7. Idk, but charmed was literally the only wb (before it became the cw) show I still watched. Bc I was 21 at the time and the other shows felt too kid like for me. Fast forward to now, 36, and im watching kid movies and shows like legacies and shit. Without having a kid for a valid excuse. Lmao. I really did age backwards I was like a 90 year old wise af at 3 and 4, ppl use to comment about it. They called me a kidult. I was giving grown adults life advice. Weird. Eh, im still 90, but now I'm like the I don't give a shit 90, and acting like the 15 year old I never was being as I was like a really really good kid, and tried to always be guiding those around me off of pot and alcohol. Now, whoops. Well that lasted till my 30s then I just didn't care anymore lol.

Oh dear you know nothing... There's like a whole musical episode. An episode in which they find out someone is gettin famous writing books about them. And also an episode in which they're teleported in our world in which they are Sam and Dean that are doing Jared and Jensen (the actors) doing Sam and Dean. Basically they have to pretend to be themselves. I don't even know how to explain this. This show is gold (after season 5 trash but gold)

I love every episode you just referenced. Those are where the show jumped the shark so hard they flew around the world and came back down on the awesome side. I'd put the trash cutoff more around season 7/8, personally. And I haven't yet been able to get through 10 despite numerous tries.
How about the episode that is shot entirely from the Impala's POV?
I like Supernatural, but I will admit there are some genuinely painful seasons, I for instance really despised the Leviathans plotline in season 7 for instance.
I really hate the season with the british men of letters. Ugh it is so obnoxious.
Season 7 was ok for me, but I saw a lot of comments where people said they didn't like it. Tbh I didn't like their mother that much either. She was annoying.

Seasons 14 and 15 took a massive nosedive in my opinion and I will probably never rewatch them. The first 13 seasons are a lot of fun for the most part.

Supernatural knows what it is. It knows it's cheesy and it imbraces it. That's why it's a good show in my opinion... that and the kick ass music choices.
And the meta humor... and the fantastic chemistry of Ackles and Padalecki... and the occasional total goof episodes. I haven't watched anything after season 8, but all those things are strengths few series can match to this day. It's as close to well executed live action anime we'll ever see in western tv.

It’s kinda dumb, but the first five seasons are gold. After that it gets too repetitive but since I’m so invested in this series I might as well just continue.
The show is still good and has a lot of good episodes, but it's not the same as it was.
Well, the series was actually supposed to end with Season 5. So, after that they just had to come up with a more convoluted plot structure, unsure of where they were really going with it, but wound up making it repetitive because it buys time to add in new plot elements.

I discovered this show last spring and binged all 15 seasons in 3 months. (Granted, sometimes I didn't focus so much on an episode as I simply let it play on the background whilst I did other things, but still...) Anyway, that is to say I think this show remained strong through all its seasons, it didn't "die" at any point. And I think it's largely because they stuck with the same main characters all along, instead of writing them out and trying to replace them with crappy discount versions of those that originally made this show. Sam & Dean's relationship/brothers bond was what hooked me to this show more than anything else and it didn't disappoint at any point. Whilst I think it's weak writing to kill off characters only to bring them back to life is weak writing and oh boy does it happen a lot in this show...It *does* make the very last episode of this show that much more powerful, and kinda makes it worth it and I suspect that was exactly why the writers kept resurrecting them. There's also a great number of fantastic supporting characters sprinkled across all seasons. I'm not saying every single character is great or even good, but those that are, really can hold interest.
Really my only big complaints/significant critisism is that for all that Sam and Dean went through, they never really change as people. At least not as much as one should after such experiences. Dean spends 40 years in Hell, half of it being tortured in unthinkable ways and the other half inflicting unthinkable torture on damned souls himself. After he's dragged out of Hell back to Earth it *is* briefly discussed that it's affected him and he does take some time to deal with it initially, but after all is said and done it doesn't *really* change anything about his personality or the way he sees the world. At least I don't recall anything major. And Sam, he too spent time in Hell being tortured by Lucifer and literally lost his soul for a while. And again, no great change in his character. BUUUT...Again, the last seasons explains all that away in-universe. Like, in a way that makes it make sense. So, *technically* it's not bad writing in this show's case, at least if you like the explanation. And I'm not sure how I feel about it as a fan of proper character development.
Anyway, this is an exceptionally high quality show all the way through for a show of such long run. I would highly recommend it to anyone who's at all into this genre and this type of tv shows. Granted, one must take into account that I did binge the whole show in a matter of months so that didn't leave me room to fully analyse and evaluate each season. There's a good chance that if I rewatched this in a more casual pace I might think some of the seasons aren't as great as I remember them. But one thing I'm sure of; it's mostly a fun ride and worth one's time all the way to the end.
My god this is a full on essay on the show 😅 enjoyed it, always good to have someone out there commited to my favorite show of all time ❤

WOW. I’m watching season 6 at the moment and I didn’t even realise how low both the actors voices get… like did they guzzle gravel and change the octave of their voices somehow?
I knew about this show but as I saw how many seasons it has i thought it would be a waste of time , the last days of 2020 i was feeling lost and a lot of bad things happened thus I started this show on first January 2021 , I got obsessed with it and believe it or not I finished it on 20 February 2021 , It helped me a lot , it was an escape from the real world and everytime I was in a bad mood I'd think ''what's gonna happen next'' and continued watching , I'm very grateful for the chance i had to see it and I really really enjoyed every part , every second , minute , every tear dropped , every laugh , I just don't know what to say , I have seen a lot of tv shows and movies but this, this takes the crown .

Fans of Supernatural were never in it for the coherent plot, but the absurdity peppered over a beautiful brotherly family drama disguised as a weekly monster flick.
I'm not an hardcore Supernatural fanboy so I realize it's got its flaws... but honestly, it's entertaining and kinda satisfies my endless need for supernatural hunters killing vampires and arguing with other supernatural creatures in an oddly romantically tense way.
The originals is much better because honestly who doesn't love klaus?

They wrote themselves into a corner as soon as they introduced Lucifer, God, God's SISTER and everyone else. Until that point, they were hunting monsters, doing cool Batman level shit before they got all meta (comprehensive and transcending) Dude, even Misha is getting tired. You should've heard him during an interview:
"We were all at the 200th episode party. Then Eric said 'Alright guys, see you for the 300th episode party!' We all laughed... that was a mistake."
All that being said, I used to be a HARDCORE fan of this show until it started repeating itself. I thought Sam turning into a super vampire was cool af. Lucifer kicking the shit out of all the pagan gods was AWESOME. Then they hit rock bottom, literally HELL. Gabriel lectured Lucifer, and from that point onward, the show just became Lucifer's therapy session. EVERYONE has something to say to him and his list of issues is ENDLESS... 14 SEASONS WORTH! Enough to numb me to the point where Lucifer is boring! THAT is a sin.
