Dylan being mad about Dean dying being cheap and he doesn’t even know how many times all of these characters died and were brought back is really funny to me lmao
I actually liked the way the show ended -- it fit with the entire run of the show. Dean was always saying that he was going to die fighting and Sam was always trying to get out to have a normal life, which Dean wanted for him even if he didn't want to fight without Sam. Sam never would have quit while Dean was alive. It would have been nice to have some reunions but blame the shut down, not the show, for missing out on that.
@@mortimerbrewster3671 I understand your point of view. However personally that’s exactly what I hate about it. My favorite thing about stories is the development and what this show did is take every bit of development and threw it out the window. Also it’s kinda weird being someone who loves and hates spn simultaneously lmao
@@jaysgreenbeans2163 Well I heard that it was changed a bit because of covid restrictions. They didn't reunite with people like Cas, or their parents. They felt it was better to just reference them so they can focus more on the other bits that would drive the episode and not the small 30 second moments. I doubt it was their intention but they said what the episode ended up being was what they always intended supernatural to be, just sam and dean. Dean dying was you're average end of the tale death of the hero and or mentor. Dean was the driving force of the series, find dad, save sam, save the world. It was the times that Dean would give up that felt hopeless, so him being the one dying on the Job and sam just quitting made sense because without Dean, Sam has no place in that world of hunting because Dean was the driving factor of the story. If sam died or if they both died on the job it would be even more meaningless, and if no one died then the conclusion would be lackluster, sam and dean hunt until they can't anymore with the same luck even after basically becoming normal people after being the main characters you could say, sam has a family and dean is driving down a road smiling. If everything went right then it wouldn't feel like supernatural, at the end of every season they succeed and a new threat arrives, but not this time, dean dies and sam quits hunting then dies at an old age, its not an open ending, there are no theories because sam and dean died for real this time and the show ended without any possibility of a sequel including sam and dean.

The CW didn't exist when this show started. This was originally WB before they gave up TV. It WAS a teen channel even then, but they had much higher standards for the writing than CW ever has since they took over. This was the last remaining show on the network that originated in the WB era before it ended.

Sam and Dean were extremely close because they were all that was left of their family. Plus evil and good always wanted for them to fight but they prove them wrong.
I think we can all agree the last episode wasn't done properly. Dean deserved the life that Sam ended up having. If you've watched the entire show and saw how he gave up having that family for Sam(like he always did), it will break you to know he ended up dying like that. He deserved happiness
I saw a post recently how the finale for season 5, what was meant to be the finale of the whole show, was done right and was how it should have ended, and I can’t help but agree. I’m glad we got more seasons because there was so much good added (especially with Cas) but Dean deserved the happy ending. Preferably with Cas.
The reason it happened this way is Dean said he wants to die on the job not naturally (foreshadowing) and he wants Sam to grow old and love someone, dying a natural life. They wrapped it up the way Dean wanted it to end, him dying valiantly on the job, and Sam living the life HE wanted, surrounded by the ones he loves.
@@azbycx737 that's a good point too. It was really just bitter that it all went back to season 1, like all the progress was not really important. Fun fact for those who don’t know: Supernatural was SUPPOSED to end with season 5. But they had gotten so popular and were picked up for another season and then the train just kept on rolling. Which is why, there is a distinct change in the format. The first few seasons were more of a horror-drama but it developed into something less horrorific, more like a supernatural thriller drama comedy? It’s still one of my favourite shows ever. Been a fan for a long time. I just wonder, if after all this time, some seasons were completely unnecessary. If you are interested in watching this show!! Just keep in mind, it started in 2005, so keep your expectations there in the first seasons. @@footloosefan1234 Since it was Dean's death that led to Sam leaving the life, not Chuck's defeat or Jack becoming God, makes Dean feel like a roadblock in Sam's life, which is an injustice to Dean. Furthermore, Sam indicated in season 10 that he was overall content with his life and didn't really want to pursue a normal life, and later seasons didn't show him changing his mind on that topic. It also seems weird that Sam ended up with a faceless wife. I personally believe that he ended up with Eileen, but she wasn't even mentioned in the last two episodes. And if he didn't end up with Eileen, then why? Did they break up? Since there wasn't a major reunion in Heaven, Dean dying and going to Heaven instead of living is pointless for Dean's character. If he wanted to drive around with his brother forever, he could have just done that on Earth. I honestly would have preferred it if Dean ended up getting a bar, like that dream in season 14. Another issue is the fact that after Jack woke up everyone in the Empty in episode 18, there was no resolution to the Empty. Finally, Cas was barely mentioned in the finale. Cas has shown up in everyone season finale since he was introduced, so the fact that he wasn't there felt strange. Yeah, I get that there were COVID restrictions, but the Winchesters could have talked about him more. Last time Cas died, Dean spent 5 episodes moping over his death, but now he only gets two mentions? Considering, Bobby said that Cas helped rebuild Heaven, I'm pretty sure that Cas is in fact alive, but prior to that statement, neither of the Winchesters knew that.

Just found your channel. As a fan of Supernatural since 2005... Many of your comments are not wrong. It was a very good show, and the finale was awful! It was filmed during covid, so they didn't get to do the full impactful finale that they had planned. As a dedicated fan, I was disappointed in the finale. And yes... Sam's wig was atrocious! It's all I really think about when it comes to the end. Although it ended badly, the rest of the show does have many beautiful moments and deserves at least one run-through.
Tbh i don't think it ended badly. To me ending was perfect considering the characters. I did feel like Dean's death was unnecesary while watching the scene but the ending proved me wrong. Just watching this 2 years after you posted this video. Am a SPN fan, and honestly, you can't get the real reason why we who are fans LOVE the show. The first and last episode do NOT give you all the moments that we love about the show. There are the drama moments as well as a TON of fun and funny moments in the show
although the finale was really different from what all of us expect, the fact that they were wearing the exact same outfits as in the first ever episode is amazing

While I have MANY other problems with the show, that’s my biggest complaint. They could’ve done so much with it. That is just my opinion.

Fun fact for those who don’t know: Supernatural was SUPPOSED to end with season 5. But they had gotten so popular and were picked up for another season and then the train just kept on rolling.
Just wish we got to see more of heaven and not just Dean driving and meeting Sam after talking to Bobby but it is what it is.
I find it funny how Dylan talks about how their lives have progressed, like Dean has a dog, but that all just happened literally one episode ago.
dylan: “don’t ever commit a crime against me cuz ill know”
also dylan: not knowing who robbed him 😪
hahahaha yeah
LMAOOOO STOP
OOOFFF
Only because he didn't see the robber's cheekbone.
you didnt have to do him like that😂
False. If Cas were actually Cassidy, she and Dean would've kissed and then two episodes later she would've died.
the truth of this statement is LOUD
I mean...Cas still died...to many times....and you know...after he confessed his love...Yes I am still crying
@@shadebreak4719 I am too and I haven't watched the show in a year
I started this show because I saw a ship vid about cas and dean, and at the finale it was canon and I was like f*cin finally
I mean, Cas did die as soon as he admitted he was in love with Dean so.....
17:35 ... i mean...Cass one time was a women, and it was evil and then turn good...and died 😭
"People gotta be pissed right?" -- biggest understatement, the fandom legit turned on the writers after this.
Actually a major chunk of the fanbase left after season 5, another set found season 7 so bad, a bunch deserted with Crowley, it just got badly written/low production value in the Dabb era so viewing figures were falling really low
Only (the shouty) part of the fanbase were really pissed, many expressed how appropriate it was to reference the beginning of the show and some of us were just glad it finally got put out of it's misery.
It was shitty I’m still pressed about what they did to Cas. They just plopped out a stupid ending and called it a day.
@@nomadpurple6154 You make it sound like SPN didn't gain back those fans and then some every season. Yes fans fell off after major events and changes like you mentioned but it never got to the point where SPN was struggling for viewership. There is a reason why it is the longest running sci-fi/fantasy TV show. Not sure what part of the fanbase you were at but I only saw the desire for SPN to go another season because of COVID. I didn't sense that fans were tired of the show and wanted it to finally end. The ending was extremely disappointing and honestly for a show that ran that long, I doubt there is an ending you can make that would satisfy the majority of the fanbase.
I'm was on season 9 and I got burnt out but seeing this was the last episode kinda pisses me off
Nah most mature fans realize that ending was the "perfect" ending just not executed the way it should have. Also, it's important to note they had to film the ending with multiple delays and problems due to COVID so only little kids are pissed about it.
the fact that you were disappointed by this is so telling actually. Like someone who watched 2 eps was disappointed. The people that spent YEARS on this and were invested? are feeling that a thousandfold
YES THIS
Yes this. They gutted and destroyed the core message of the show
As a game of thrones fan, i can sympathize
LOL I was so happy with the ending and I watched every single second of every single episode. I feel like it's the people who didn't watch every episode who didn't understand what the show was about and thus were unhappy with the finale.
@@kayh5378 congrats
Doesn't change the fact that a lot of die hard fans disliked this ending. It just wasn't good
Dylan: “I need more anger out of u” as he refers to dean, the king of anger issues💀
EXACTLY WHAT I WAS THINKING
Exactlyyy lmfaooo

Just watching this 2 years after you posted this video. Am a SPN fan, and honestly, you can't get the real reason why we who are fans LOVE the show. The first and last episode do NOT give you all the moments that we love about the show. There are the drama moments as well as a TON of fun and funny moments in the show

and 8 seasons after defeating the Devil they have to fight him again
"uhhhhh.... God... And the devil again... And God again..."

although the finale was really different from what all of us expect, the fact that they were wearing the exact same outfits as in the first ever episode is amazing
"I have a feeling she's gonna die, so don't get attached" the hole show summed up right there
I died laughing when he said that
"They are so dumb. They have guns, why are they using machetes?"
*me in physical pain*
"Why are all of them getting decapitated?"

Yeah, they should shoot them with deadman's blood.
oh my god same i was gonna comment but i’m glad i saw someone who did
Wait why can't they use guns?

Dylan cut his hair, he looks like the old dylan now
ikr i love it
Then he's gonna grow it back and he's gonna look like the new dylan but since the new dylan is gonna be in the past at that point, he's gonna look like the old old dylan, since the old dylan will have had short hair, until he's cut his hair again, in which he'll look like the old old dylan AND the old old old old dylan because both old dylan and old old old dylan will have had long hair. I like this dude. I was hesitant to click because it's always hard to hear someone shit all over your favourite things, but this dude saw the charm in Supernatural and the criticisms came from a fair place or a point of confusion. And he's funny and charming himself.
Dylan to Dean: I need more anger.
Me: oh, darling you don't know what you've asked for.
I felt it when he said "I need more anger"
He DID NOT see s10
he should have seen deanmon or michael!dean
Telling someone “you can go” is the kind thing. Many people feel the need to keep fighting because their families can’t imagine life without them, so they fight even though they are tired and just want to let go.
whose gonna tell Dylan there’s a website called bingeclock that calculates how long it would take to watch any show ever down to the minute and he doesn’t have to keep doing the calculations himself
Maybe he won't mention them because they won't sponsor him.
@@cmt89497 or he just doesnt know about it

can we talk about dylans transition from sams girlfriend dying to his sponsorship using the word crunch

"Jump up on here and she can't crash into you. She'd hit the wall."

You talking about the lack of importance in deans death scene is all the reasons it hits so hard, they didn’t “survive” but they came out the other side of A LOT of insane shit and he ends up dying on a every other day job just like he always said he would :(
As why they didn't have any significant woman in the end... THEY ALL DIED. EVERY ONE DIED!
“Did he never get a wife or a girlfriend or anything?”
DYLAN YOU HAVE NO IDEA
I’m SO GLAD HE MENTIONED THEIR VOICES. It’s ridiculous 😂. They started talking like they were doing Bat man impressions
