Two days ago, my curiosity about the “speedrun to overdose Mama Murphy” finally got the better of me. It’s been in my recommended for weeks now. I’ve been binging all your content since. Amazing work, you have quickly become one of my favorite UA-camrs!! Looking forward to new videos!
Can we get a speedrun explained of you running to the store to get some cheese for your famous "Nachos for One" I'm excited to see what payout-skip strats you may have.
the current speedrun strat for any% is to rush past checkout without going through the payment animation and as long as you are faster at cooking than the police AI is at finding you, the strat works, however this breaks New game+ so is banned in glitchless
not a speedrun strat by any means but if you quicksave-quickload clip through the counter it will glitch out the vendors's ai and they'll just go into flee mode instead of their normal attack routine not very useful or allowed in glitchless, but still kinda funny
Finally finished the game so I can finally watch this without worrying about spoilers Edit: Oh god dammit he gives spoiler warnings. I waited this long for no reason.
I enjoy your videos so much, I can't think of anybody in the speedrunning community who is better at explaining these runs for a casual audience, thanks for making these man I always look forward to seeing new ones!
I watch these videos for all the neat info. To how you get tiny incremental speed boosts, to the voice actors of other games. The info behind the mechanics and staffing of the games make it really interesting. Thanks for the hard work.
For some reason “we intimidate the ever-loving SHIT out of him” made me burst out laughing. Another great video as always Mr. Anus. Thanks for putting in the spoiler shiba.
I’ve watched loads of your videos and I’ve watched all of Sharo’s WR runs and I love The Outer Worlds so I’ve been hoping for a run with commentary to explain the small details. Thanks man
Can we please, please stop with this "hold the interact button for two entire seconds straight in order for it to actually do something" nonsense in AAA videogames.
Outer Worlds is actually an AA game, but I sorta understand your critique when it comes to interacting with a door to load a new location. However, I'll assume you're not talking about interactions such as lockpicking or pickpocketing, because waiting for a couple seconds is much better than having some insufferable minigame, and just immediate success/failure based purely on skill level isn't the right option either. (As with high enough skill level in lockpicking in Outer Worlds does make picking locks neigh instantaneous)

Speedrunning wasn't AS BIG as it is now back then. As such, common tactics, information sharing, numerous people attempting etc. made it slower to bring down the time.
Thanks for the commentary. I had figured out most of the strategies from watching speedruns and looking on the Discord forum, but it's nice to have it explained.
I tried to be relatively spoiler free with my commentary. I do discuss the plot at points and include a notification on screen for whenever there are spoilers if you wish to mute the video at that point. If you choose to still not watch tho, totally understand. I wouldn’t watch either.
Thanks for the spoiler mitigation at the start of the run! I figured that I probably won't play the game anytime soon anyways but was delightfully surprised that I can watch the Speedrun and mitigate spoilers. Good touch.
The chemical is not fuel it's for the Hopes hibernating colonists. Great commentary. You don't get any trophies for completion with this ending. Only the Tartarus ending gets you those.
This is a fun Speedrun to watch, but through those minutes I had the voice in my head whispering "God, I wish I knew what it was that bored me about this game."
It's too... compartmentalised. You do A, then you do B, then you do C and so forth. There's no real ability to explore or strike out on your own. The setting and story is pretty much force-fed to you, and even _that_ just amounts to an exaggerated though fundamentally accurate example of a collapsing, late-stage capitalistic environment, with the ending not actually solving the situation and instead is simply a choice between maintaining the collapsing status quo or exacerbating the collapse by adding an entire population that the system is fundamentally incapable of supporting. Add in to that the combat of the outer worlds isn't particularly thrilling. It's slow, clunky and just doesn't have enough weight to it. The character building options don't really feel all that different from one another, just which numbers are higher than others.
@@SgtCookie111 Honestly. I think this quite well explains what it was I didn't enjoy, or there's enough here that I agree with that I think would put me off. The force-fed "companies bad" message does get old after the 600th reminder within the first hour. :P
Maybe not the best game, but outside dlc's (at least one of them) everything is mostly fine... Also main story is kind of exaggeration of things we have in real life...some even accurate...
