Yes a quick polish is a must
You are just hand finishing naw
I have done that to every liner I have
    I used autosol metal polish
I used string with 3 knots 1inch apart and put the polishing cream on the middle knot
I do about 15 passes and that’s it
There are many ways to do this
    This is my way
    Another nice vid
    Keep up the good work

Polishing has worked for me, and cleaning the barrel is so much easier and faster. And I did get about a 10% increase in FPS without adjusting anything

10% really? Can you explain your method and materials!! I would love to get 10% out of my Texan!! Shooting 960 now if I can get 10% that would be amazing!! Thanks in advance

@@Mid_michigan_tatoos its with a very low power gun maybe possible ,from 7,5 tot 30 joule i gues , because of the little energy behind it ,.with a high power gun i dont believe it

I've noticed that my choke is VERY tight which seems crazy in a slug barrel! In fact as a big bore shooter I get my best accuracy in unchoked barrels. This choked .25 barrel just isn't performing like it should.
I'd love to polish it open more but just can't figure out a way that doesn't damage the rest of the barrel.
I'm seriously considering buying an 800 barrel and cutting it down to 700 to get rid of the choke.
Note that after shooting over 700 NSA 36 gr slugs, I fire lapped the barrel by shooting 30 JB polish coated bullets, then cleaning. It did make an improvement in group size but again, I think the chokes the problem

I've heard it's important to put the barrel tip agene something so it doesn't damage the crown like the wall you don't want it to come out the front of your barrel

Hey man, don't pull too hard, you'll turn that straw into a boomerang.

When I clean mine I put a permanent marker mark on the top of the liner, so I know it’s going back in exactly the same as before, otherwise you have to zero it again 🤦🏼‍♂️
