    lol good idea of dry firing and then increasing the reg pressure . i do the exact same procedure but my reason was that there is less pressure in the plenum hence leading to less strain on the surfaces.(same idea though)

    Thanks for the vid, think my regulators could do with some tlc. My M3 first reg seems to go down in pressure from 180 to 160 bar, have you seen this reduction before?
    My second reg sometimes creeps from 150 - 153bar and causes the fps to increase and reduce after quite a few shots (~100)

    At the end of your video you say your a fan of using higher regulator pressure. So you set the reg a little higher (how much higher?) and then use the micro/macro to adjust the the pellet speed down?

    • @precisionairguns5553
      @precisionairguns5553  2 роки тому +6

      My example, I can shoot my chosen ammo at 975fps using 115-120 bar regulator pressures and increasing hammer force.
      However,
      I shoot my ammo at 975 fps with 140 bar regulator and less hammer force, so a short sharp burst of air instead of a lower prolong burst of air. The gun shoots, handles so much better, it is much more quieter with less recoil and it actually uses only uses 1 bar per shot instead of 2-3 bar per shot on the lower reg settings.
      How this helps you out and answers your question.

      That is very helpful information. What percent below the plateau velocity do you like to be at? Lots of people say 3-5% is good for a consistent and flat shot string and reduces lower velocity first shots. But at that range the gun does use a lot of air.

    At what the price is with this gun the regulators should be polished and bullet proof. I have only had my gun for a little over a month and have already had to replace the first reg. Now I am sending the gun for gun creep because I really do not think its okay to have two problems in less than a month. It better come back with a good tune and no problems as to ship the gun will be $100 Fedex that I have to pay.
    Bullshit.

      Sorry to hear you have had problems, thats a bummer. The regulators are not as bad as people make out tbh, when set up correctly they work perfectly. Mine can sit with full bottle pressures and not creep at all. The issues arise from it being a fully adjustable regulator, people like to over turn to often, this is what causes the damage and the problems.
      Best advise I can give anyone, is do the work and set reg and never touch it, if if you have to adjust like I mention in the video.
      Hope you get yours sorted
