BEST PRESSURE WASHER FOR MOBILE CAR DETAILING SET UP? | Active 2.0

  • Опубліковано 14 сер 2024
  • How does the New Active 2.0 Electric Pressure Washer hold up in a mobile detailing set up. In my mobile detail van I use a basic gravity fed system. That means that there is no pump between my water tank and my pressure washer. Gravity alone is feeding the water in to my pressure washer. I wanted to test and see how the new Active 2.0 would work in this situation. I will be running this off of my Generator and I will be using a 50' pressure washer hose. I will also be testing the psi and gpm with the gravity fed system to see if that changes any of the performance. ENJOY!!!

As much as I love the Active 2.0, $350 for what I would deem as only a car wash tool since I can't get the higher PSI for heavy duty, I feel the V52 or even a Ryobi is better for me since I don't have a business or use in a professional setting

Cost perspective like you said, as a consumer for home use applications and not simply for washing vehicles you are absolutely correct. There is so much more value that you can get out of a for example gas pressure washer to clean your house sidings your concrete, etc. But when you are simply looking to wash something that doesn’t require high pressure (washing a vehicle) this is the absolute best in terms of price to performance.

I just picked up from Lowes a Craftsman 1800 psi for $119 and it works great. You don’t need anything more than 1800 psi for auto detailing washing. I’ll never but a pressure washer that has an onboard soap tank as many have.

Nice work Josh, but running that generator would drive my clients and their neighbours nuts. Surely this client could let you plug into his power and water. I haven’t got one client that doesn’t let me connect to their power and water. FYI I run a Karcher K2 with your UberFlex update (bought from your links) and its been unbelievably good. I’ve already done about 100 hours with it and it hasn’t skipped a beat. It’s the best $AUD129 I’ve spent in my setup. It replaced a Ryobi very heavy 2400psi machine with a hose reel that has been relegated to paver cleaning around the house (and the thing I trip over most in my storage area 😂😂😂) Lloyd

Hey Josh. I have a 2500W Generac generator and a 33 gallon water tank that gravity feeds my active 2.0 with the original pressure washer hose (nothing upgraded). Upon plugging the water inlet into the active 2.0, and connecting the active gun, I get no water through my system and the pressure washer sounded like it was working super hard and could not prime. I believe my water pressure is low. I did not face this issue feeding my 2.0 with a garden hose in my garden while being powered by my generator. It primed right away. Eager to see the long term usage/durability of that PW; although looks like it has the same 2 year warranty as the V52, they could have at least added 1 more year to the warranty since it's supposed to last twice as long. Still great price for performance. @@user-tg3gv6ty9v I have a Kranzle 1322TSS setup as a wall mounted set up. I do most jobs out of my garage and some mobile detailing jobs. I thought about getting the Kranzle 1622 because it can run off a 15A circuit. It cost more then the 1322TSS so I decided since most of my jobs are out of my garage I got the Active 2.0. If I did more mobile detailing I would have gotten the AR 630TSS due to the gpm it has and it’s a serviceable unit. The Active 2.0 is doing good but my favorite pw is the 1322TSS.

It's like in the states, you have mobile homes and when you have a hurricane or a tornado, Which do you think will suffer? The less resistant, and in the states most homes aren't able to withstand over a category 3 because normally they don't have this type of hurricanes or even tornadoes until they happen. They are built to withstand cold temperatures and are built from wood because is less expensive and do not crack with freezing temperatures like happens with concrete. Have now used this to clean house siding and it performed well ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx43QMbQqu67IZadu9ou8Sg1BdrunMRNqX I also bought some wand extensions which enabled higher washing without needing a ladder. I recommend both. This unit arrived quickly, was easy to assemble (only had to attach the handle), and arrived in perfect condition. The only very slight downgrade from a perfect score is the design has a low handle and requires pulling from the side. My old washer was an upright model, while this one is more horizontal. Other than that, it's perfect for my needs. It has a great deal of pressure and more easily cleaned the house siding, porch rails and concrete than did my older model. The engine is a bit louder, as well, but the total time to clean was reduced by the more powerful spray. Did I mention it starts on the first or second pull every time?!! I am definitely happy with this model.
