For me I ordered the Active 2.3 over the Pro is: 1) The active can get the same GPM #1100 PSI. 2) I can buy the parts to replace/rebuild the pump components thru Active. I won' have to take it to a service center. Received the 10%off from Cars with Keav, and active has free shipping and NO TAX, bringing this unit well an incredible price for this type of performance My Active 2.3 was ordered on 4/22, Fedex Tracking has it arriving at my door on 4/26. Can't wait to wash the ride
I’ve watched so many reviews on pressure washers and you are one of the best, talking fast and to the point. There is another guy who’s very popular and his videos put me to sleep after an hour. Thank you for all your work on making your media worth while to watch.
I bought the Pro on Sunday April 21 Price 629. (on sale) I live in San Antonio, Tx and shipping is $65. NO TAX. Charged my card $694. Just got tracking and it will be here Friday the 26th. Excellent! I said the heck with it, I bought the CobraJet 50 ft with the OG Mosmatic Gun and Wand. If you're going to do it - do it right! Cost a bit more but is that going to really matter 6 months from now. I am not a pro detailer, just a weekend warrior that is going to enjoy this first class rig. Josh and Pan - gotta love the 2 best car detailers on you tube. Honorable mention to Wilson! Great video Josh and thank you for your great work.
Great review, the duo for me didn’t dampen vibration well so was causing other noises as well. Active is loud for sure. Also, remember if you live in the U.S. you also pay taxes on the Big Boi and not Active. Make sure to calculate that in when deciding. You can’t go wrong here. Pro is so good. I chose the 2.3 until somebody complains about the noise. 😂
Yea I was a bit surprised at the noise level on the active. Great unit though for sure! Since I detail professionally the washr pro is my choice but like you said you can’t go wrong with any of them. So cool to have so many good options for people now!
I ordered the pro and wall mount back in March when Josh introduced here. Didn’t have to pay any taxes to California but paid almost $125 in shipping. After seeing the performance of Active 2.3 from Keav, I wanted to cancel Washr pro and mount to get the Active. Since they have already shipped, cancelling the order would cost me $250 shipping ($125 to me & $125 back to them). Shipping is not refundable per their policy. So I decided to keep it now. Just wanted to let prospective buyers know since there taxes now on big boi in USA according to reviews. All 3 units are great per reviews.
@@CYSN1027 It’s possibly due to me being in the same state as the warehouse. There might it be taxes in other states I could be wrong on that, but of course I have no way of knowing except input like you comment. @@CarsWithKeavThat might be the case. My shipment came from Georgia location. Usually if a business has any physical location in a state, it will be tax in any addresses in that state. Thanks Keav for that active 2.3 coupon which brings down to $585 with no tax or shipping. Unfortunately, cancelling the big boi order will cost me $250 of non refundable shipping costs.
On the active 2.3 when it shot out a bunch of redish brown water, it’s usually because they put antifreeze in the unit for shipping purposes. Usually they recommend running water through it for at least a couple minutes to flush everything out before you start washing a car.
Oh NO! Big Boi Pro just went - SOLD OUT. By the way I ordered it on Sunday 21st and arrived today Thurs 25th. Great service. Thanks again to Josh for bringing this one home, a week ago I never heard of BigBoi!!
Yeah it’s not terrible. When you compare it to a commercial grade unit it’s loud but when you compare it to a big box store ryobi, craftsman, etc… it’s very similar to those

Thanks for checking the noise level. The Active 2.3 is a great unit but you will definitely want to wear ear protection if the main unit is nearby since 92 dB from a few feet away is very loud.
I agree, this is the first time I tested decibels with the spray nozzle far away so it wasn’t effecting the test. I was surprised on the noise level, but the active is a great unit just louder than I expected

Thanks for the quick review! I like how you are straight forward comparing the main characteristics and not getting into the weeds!! One request please - I'm interested in the Active 2.3, but have heard about issues about using it with an Uberflex hose. I think Active recommends a steel braided pressure washer hose which is frustrating since I just invested in an Uberflex based on your multiple recommendations (Awesome hose BTW!!). Please include hose specifics in your detailed review of the Active 2.3 when you get to it. Thanks in advance!
Yes with my smaller bucket I had measured it and knew the markings were accurate… with that larger bucket I wasn’t sure so I wanted to measure to be as accurate as possible
I'm not in the market for any of these because my Greenworks 1700/1.2 is everything I need as a DIY guy, but I always enjoy your product comparisons. Thanks Josh.
Nice demo! I just started watching your videos and researching pressure washers for washing my vehicles at home and doing side detailing jobs in the summer. You have some outstanding hands on demo videos. Just this week I got an Adam’s Pro Pressure. Hopefully this unit is still as good as the ones in this video?! And I hope it doesn’t trip my 15amp breaker from my garage lol!
The link for the Pro doesn't work anymore, and it's not on their site anymore. I'm guessing they don't have anymore. But they could at least show something about it. It looks liek they have them in Australia though.
Im so glad I went with the BB pro! After watching your vids and Keav, yall both knocked it out of the park. I did grab some 4.5 nozzles like you tested. This is my 1st PW other than my dewalt gas, but I'm an engineer, so all the hooplah with maximizing performance interests me. Along with Keav's work with BB to modify the regulator and bump it up, I think with a 4.5 or even using the 2.3s 4.6, the BB is gonna give the 2.3 a huge run for the money at 14A or so. Really interested in seeing that comparison between the pro and 2.3. Same amp rating, same nozzle size and let em battle it out. But my pro came in yesterday and it rained all day today so I couldn't test. Tomorrow.... Game on!
How often do you need to drain and refill the oil for the Bigboi Washr Duo? And what kind of oil that need to change? I'm using Bigboi Washr Flo, I am planning to upgrade to this one.
Bought the active 2.3 the other day with the discount code so it ended up being $585 after everything! Excited for it to come and just cancelled my car wash memberships lol
another awesome review. you always look so annoyed with yourself when you make a mistake when speaking, but the problem is, that its impossible to not make mistakes when you are giving the audience 25 minutes worth of info in 10 minutes! keep up the awesome work man!
Love the Active 2.3 but then again I love the color of the BigBoi (Ryobi) but I am with you I would take the BigBoi Pro great video Josh can't wait till you do the full specs on the Active and BigBoi Pro
I just finished watching OG’s video on the active 2.3 before seeing this video popup in my feed and I was not impressed I definitely will stick with my Kranzle lol sure it has a higher GPM rating then the 2.0 but they said it is the loudest pressure washer ever! it was at least 80dbs that’s up there where you’re gonna have to wear hearing protection just to run your pressure washer if you’re near it anyway😂
For me with my sound test between these 3 the Washr Pro was 77 decibels the Washr Duo was 86 and the Active was 91... Definitely loud but it did get gret performance. The Kranzle is amazing though. I have a 1122tst and love it
@@YuriTarded-hf1nvthe people that are complaining about sound are office workers. I’m an electrician that works in Industrial plants and commercial projects and I don’t think 90 db’s is that loud. These people need to work beside a coal pulverizer at a coal fired power plant or a compressor room at a refinery, 125 db’s and up for 10 hours a day lol
Again, what is your personal preference of BB pro and AR630 for professional use? I know you can’t go wrong BS but I want to know your personal preference at this moment. Thanks.
I'm one of those people who had an issue with the Active 2.0 in combination with the blue 50ft Uber flex pressure washer hose. I spoke with Active while everything was hooked up and went thru a series of different tests and it always came back to the hose. I of course was bummed out and sadly returned the product.
Big Boi pro or AR630? :). My Active 2.3 should be here soon. The noise level is a huge bummer and a relatively hard pill to swallow at the performance level.
Would love to see how he would rank the AR630TSS among these as well! I'm in your exact same position. Love the 2.3 performance, but don't want to become the most hated person on the block with the noise. I could always throw a foam ice cooler over top or devise some sound insulation box, but now wondering if I should just go with the AR or BBPro...
Thanks Josh. You sold me. Pro is a much better machine and I won't loose my hearing. 91 db!!! for a new $650 pressure washer??? Sounds like my Harbor Freight air compressor. BTW you weren't the first to review these washers but thanks for presenting the correct facts we need the first time to evaluate these units.
Thanks for the great video. I got the Bigboi with your pre-order offer, and I'm glad I did. I know it's just for my home garage and 1 vehicle, but I wanted a solid unit. I have the Reelworks hose reel you recommend and now I just need to grab a hose. I'm leaning towards the Obsessed Garage 3/8" v1.0 and the 50' should fit that reel perfectly. I have the Active short gun and the MJJC Pro 2.0 foam cannon. Now I just need to hook it all up and get washing. Thanks for all the great information and tutorials.
@@imjoshv I seriously wanted the Adam's hose but saw it was out of stock so that's why I started looking elsewhere....I'll hold out for it then. Thanks!
Thank you for this vid, Josh. I'm sitting here with a note pad and pen trying to decide if I want an Active 2.0 or 2.3. The others look good, but price and performance seems to lean towards your second place winner. In the future, please go into the replaceability on the Active 2.3. Also, down the line, mention how the contest is coming on the fishing.....😆
keep the 2.0, just upgrade to the 40" steel-braided hose (also by Active) if you want to get around a whole car in 1 go. And get earplugs. Alternatively, if you have an abundance of money, give the 2.0 to a family member and get the BigBoi Washr Pro which is less noisy.
Dude that’s a phenomenal test thank you. I would like you to revisit the first place machine and see if the gpm increases with break in. I figure u have that planned already lol. 👍👍
Great review as usual Josh! Was the sound and rebuild/maintenance factor the main reasons you chose the BIGBOIPRO over the 2.3 for your winner? I only ask because the numbers other than sound and ease of maintenance were actually better from the ACTIV 2.3 than the PRO, so I am just wanting to know so I could decide if the increased price of the PRO is worth it to me over the 2.3 because they are both closely priced.. Thanks again man hope all is well!
Sounds, and ease of maintenance for sure but also the commercial applciation. Its built extremely stout and for my reliability over a long period of time is a big factor.
@@imjoshv awesome man I just placed my order for the BIGBOIPRO! Hopefully I will catch up with you at SEMA again and let you know how it goes! Last question, will you be running a 4.5 or 5.0 nozzle with the PRO for your preferred gpm?
Great video!! I'm very new to detailing and have the Ryobi 1800 and was thinking when I needed to upgrade I'd go to the Active 2.0 but now I like I'm leaning more towards the Pro. Can you do a comparison between the Active 2.0 and the Big Boi Pro? I realize the Probis about double the price but id like to see how they compare.
Interesting point with the hose issue with the active 2.0 and uber flex. I use them and have no issues but interested in trying my hose that came with it.
Awesome video Josh! Whats the dimensions on the Bigboi Pro? Also whats the dimensions on the feet of the Bigboi Pro? Trying to see if I can fit it on my wall shelf. Cant wait for more videos. Thank you!
Josh, what I can pull up is the active can be bought on sale for $585.95 shipped and the pro for $694 shipped, with active having better numbers from what you tested out, and a significant cheaper price point, is the noise level having a much lower number for the pro the deciding factor, or can you give me other factors which make the pro the best choice in your opinion.
Great video 👍 How do you see the bigboi WASHR pro comparing to the compact kranzles like the k1322? In Europe their hd 10/122 is about the same price as the pro
Might sound crazy but I just ordered a cooler and sound isolation mats to line it with and I will put the 2.3 in it with holes drilled for the water/power lines.
Leaning towards the active 2.3, i know you can mount it to a wall, lag screws into studs or the unit may be too heavy? I am very interested in the Big Boi Dionizer however.
Josh, out of all the wall mount power washers you have tried what was your favorite pick? I went to order the pro but they are out of stock and back to 699. Trying to figure out what to get
Now on the Big Boi Pro, what happens when you crank down the unloader valve and increase the nozzle orifice to get closer to 15 amps at 1000 psi? I think the Big Boi Pro has some more untapped potential than what your tests showed.
The GPM for sure is exceeding the others. For me its the commercial application since i use them soooo much. With that said, i absolutely love the Active 2.3 as well. Its a phenomenal unit
@@imjoshv I just purchased my Active 2.3 and saved like $65 bucks using your coupon code. Big Boi was sold out and I think they were still working out some bugs. The Active 2.3 will be replacing my Greenworks 2300 PSI TruBrushless pressure washer, The Jetflow technology (ramp up) got old.
Awesome video mate. I just ordered the bigboi pro set it comes with gun, lance, hose and snow canon :) AU$898 What psi guage are you using as I'd like to get one to dial in the unit. Keep up the great vids mate
Hi. I am just a home detailer. I am looking at getting a new system for my garage. What is the ultimate pressure washer? Money no issue buy? I am looking at a big boi washr pro or a kranzle k10/122? Are they the two best units available?
big boi washr pro looks good because it's low noise (72db). Active 2.3 looks good because it has a 40 foot steel-braided hose (good length) and good GPM but it is significantly noisier (92db) Both look like good products.
Hello love your videos and how in depth you go …would it be possible to do a video that shows the highest PSI we can get out of the bigboi Pro (safely)….would really love to see if it can be the ultimate at home pressure washer that is great for aggressive home cleaning and professional level at home car detailing all with the change of the orifice nozzles !!!!! Please and thank you !
@imjoshv What are your thoughts on Active saying not to use the Uberflex on 2.0 and 2.3? I personally have used my Uberflex on the 2.0 with no issues. But I’ve never checked my amperage.
Yea thats a tricky one for me... I love the uberflex and ive used it on my ar630tss for years with zero issues. I have seen some tests of the uberflex vs the included hose on the active 2.0 and it does seem to cause a bit more wind up... The exoansion theory of the uberflex since its not steel braided kind of makes sense, but it doesnt cause issues with any other machines for me so im not sure if its the hose of something else really going on
I guess it got to do with the construction of the total stop system. Uberflex hose would likely work fine with those units c/w unloader + TSS switch where as the active 2.0 and 2.3 do not have the unloader, only TSS switch on it.
I saw the review on the hose and gun on the 2.3. How about a review on the duo hose and gun from big boi? I did order the duo hose with the gun hose seemed very small. Don’t know what it’s gonna amount to. Was going to try to run it with the big boi. pro. Thinking of returning it and doing my own up grade from your recommendation.
I normally use a gas power washer, I want to go to electric for wall mount reason and Im tired of all the noise my gas makes. any other pros/cons of using a electric power washer?
This often relates to how the unloader is set. Also, what kind of hose you’re using. When the trigger is released the pump still runs for a little bit. If the unloader is cranked down it will allow the pressure to rise in the hose, if the hose can expand at all it will store energy in the hose and release when you pull the trigger the next time. If you have a pressure gauge, check how high your pressure goes when you release the trigger.
For me I ordered the Active 2.3 over the Pro is:

The active 2.0 is great. These are more robust units but I’d keep the 2.0 till it dies and then look at these as an upgrade.
Thanks Josh. You sold me. Pro is a much better machine and I won't loose my hearing. 91 db!!! for a new $650 pressure washer??? Sounds like my Harbor Freight air compressor. BTW you weren't the first to review these washers but thanks for presenting the correct facts we need the first time to evaluate these units.
noise-cancelling earbuds. You can listen to music while you work :)
The Adams hose it out of stock, but when that comes back in it is a great option at a great price. they have it in 40, 60, and 100
@@imjoshv I seriously wanted the Adam's hose but saw it was out of stock so that's why I started looking elsewhere....I'll hold out for it then. Thanks!
Bigboi pro is the clear winner for me. Triplex pumps are very reliable and it's quiet.
The Washr Pro is awesome in terms of noise to performance ratio. Time for me to start saving up. LOL
Great video Josh! I currently have the Active 2.0, are any of these worth upgrading to? Purely for home use, 2 or 3 times a week.
keep the 2.0, just upgrade to the 40" steel-braided hose (also by Active) if you want to get around a whole car in 1 go.
Looking to get my first pressure washer sometime soon. Your reviews are very helpful
Go for the Active - either the 2.0 if you're a beginner, and a 2.3 if you need more performance!
@@jameshou3927which one is better for a water tank mobile detailing van?
Maybe the word you were looking for was "maintainable"? The design of the Bigboi units appear to make them easier to service and maintain.
Yeah i was jumping between repairable and rebuildable hah. Maintainable is a good way to put it
Interesting point with the hose issue with the active 2.0 and uber flex. I use them and have no issues but interested in trying my hose that came with it.
Thanks for the info and for this review!
Hey Buddy just curious what you used to connect the Adam’s hose to the duo? They are both female ends originally I believe
If your upgrading your unit would you go ARBlue 630,Big Boi Washr Pro or the Active 2.3?
The review I’ve been waiting for.
Awesome! Thanks for watching
Might sound crazy but I just ordered a cooler and sound isolation mats to line it with and I will put the 2.3 in it with holes drilled for the water/power lines.
And the next thing is burning garage
That will be the quietest system around!
@@asaholeyit will have ventilation
Josh is this quieter than my ADAMS pro that I purchased after watching your video on it a couple years ago? Thanks
Great review Josh !
great video.. all those louder then other units because of heavy motor and oil.
Thanks for the great content. When you decide to get rid of any of these units let me know. I would love to update my pressure washer.
Great review Josh 🤘🏻
Thanks for the info
Thanks for watching!!
Other then the db level, I think GPM and PSI is better on the Active.
I think you should look into the general pump pu1021, claims 2.0gpm at 1000psi
That looks interesting!!!
What is the db rating on the Kranzle K1122TST for reference?
Great presentation!
Awesome video mate. I just ordered the bigboi pro set it comes with gun, lance, hose and snow canon :) AU$898
What psi guage are you using as I'd like to get one to dial in the unit.
Keep up the great vids mate
Do you think the accessories should be upgraded ? I’m contemplating ordering. Unit or Set - still deciding.
Your opinion on these washers vs AR blue 630?
AR Blue blows these outta the water but in saying that, need to consider the amp rating these machines are
Bam. Josh great review!!! Again
Thanks so much!!
Hi. I am just a home detailer. I am looking at getting a new system for my garage. What is the ultimate pressure washer? Money no issue buy? I am looking at a big boi washr pro or a kranzle k10/122? Are they the two best units available?
big boi washr pro looks good because it's low noise (72db).
Active 2.3 looks good because it has a 40 foot steel-braided hose (good length) and good GPM but it is significantly noisier (92db)
Both look like good products.
Good deal. Maybe I'm crazy but that active 2.3 sounds quiet to me. I feel like my AR 630 is louder than I'll get out.
Thank you!.. I did do that evertime. I dont remember if i actually showed it but it was done!!
Hey Josh I have a quick question? Does it work on a predator 3500 ? For my mobile setup ? Heard some people say it did not work for them…
Look at worx 1800 psi and it’s a monster !!!!
Honestly I’m hoping active lowers the price on the 2.0 here soon so I can grab one 😂
Where could I pickup a Big Boi Pro in the US? I really like how it looks and price range is within budget.
Thanks Josh!! Great info!!!
Thanks for watching!
Good video thanks!
That could be a possibility for sure
I saw the review on the hose and gun on the 2.3. How about a review on the duo hose and gun from big boi? I did order the duo hose with the gun hose seemed very small. Don’t know what it’s gonna amount to. Was going to try to run it with the big boi. pro. Thinking of returning it and doing my own up grade from your recommendation.
I normally use a gas power washer, I want to go to electric for wall mount reason and Im tired of all the noise my gas makes. any other pros/cons of using a electric power washer?
Hey Josh, is the shotgun initial recoil upon trigger pull normal for pressure washers of higher spec?
It's really noticeable on my duo.
Wow The bigboi very impressive 😮💨🔥
I agree! The pro performs and sounds amazing
How do you change the oil in the DUO
Great review!!!
Thanks!
Your channel is excellent! Have you ever considered opening a class to teach how to detail vehicles and start your own business?
I am considering that now actually. Ive been looking at moving locations to something that would fit that better!
