I also *highly* recommend trying out CRLC with Wicked Implement - the constant shard generation keeps the magazine loaded way above standard capacity at all times, and its super-stable fire pattern makes it really easy to land the precision hits to trigger the Lancecap 😍😍😍
Just one thing I thought was important to correct about your assessment of the exotic. There's actually no need whatsoever to use Stasis weapons with it. That belief was based on an incorrect description of the exotic when it was released in Lightfall. The actual requirements for getting lances are just precision hits and precision kills, so literally any weapon that can crit will create lances regardless of the element. The description of the exotic has even been updated in The Final Shape to reflect this. Outbreak Perfected has been going extremely hard with this exotic for that very reason.
That being said, you're one of the first people I've seen on UA-cam to actually point out just how much value the Lance Cap can provide! There are way too few people who know about this thing, and it kills me to see it written off despite how strong it is and how many buffs it got in the latest patch.

Yeah, this is why I strongly prefer content creators that show their work.
Trusting in game descriptions will trip you up every now and then.
Should also try out astrocyte verse, ability to blink into a group and blink out to cover and now they’re volatile… it’s nice with prismatic and all the subclass verbiage. Also symmetry.
I have a build based on this plus Verglas Curve w/ Catalyst and it's insane how much freeze and stasis detonation I throw around. Only issue I had was self-healing, but now in a fireteam with my crafted No Hesitation w/ Enhanced Physic.......
@@cnkclark Oh! For healing I like to use Whisper of Hedrons, Whisper of Bonds, 40 recovery, Stasis Syphon, and Recuperation. With Hedrons bumping the 40 recovery to 100 and the two orb generators fueling Recuperation I'm usually able to stay pretty aggressive even in GM content.
Literally just finished making this build for Prism Titan and it STOMPS. A Titan that doesn't punch, but instead puts targets IN LOCKDOWN.

Aspects: Diamond Lance + Drengr's Lash
Fragments:
Hope (Barricade Spam)
Purpose + Protection (Frost Armor from orbs and DR when surrounded)
Ruin (BEEG Shatter Damage)
Balance (Rapid Dark Damage Kills = Grenade Energy)
Last slot is VERY flexible. I like Dominance since I'm using Suppressor nade for suppress AND weaken. Solitude is also very good for Tangle generation since you'll be getting headshots from behind the barricade. Devotion is also good for Light generation if they don't die to the shatter first...lol. Weapons are also flexible but having a Stasis weapon for Lance generation is a great thing to have. Hope you have as much fun as I am with this build and sorry for being long winded XD
TLDR: Suspend + Freeze + Suppress + Shatter = NOTHING moves without your say so!

CRL is my by far my favorite Titan exotic. I mostly run it with Wicked Implement because they just pair so well together, Both care about headshots, both spawn crystals and any Crystal you break with WI will spawn a stasis shard which will refill your ammo (The Shard generation from Wicked Implement ignores the oh so painful shard cap by the way).
I made a silly bulid with this exotic on Prismatic, with Drangers Lash for tangles also that exotic void trace rifle that makes spheres, it's kinda like a Mario kart "?" box of items to throw or smash

This exotic has been my PVP go to this season. Just got my first flawless of the season for Shayura’s with the build. Being able to get a lance from neutral is just insane, on top of the Prismatic Titan kit being the best at kill chaining.
The secret sauce has been Scalar Potential with Permeability. Fastest transcendence meter building weapon in the game, being able to fill both light and dark. Not to mention easy diamond lance with a single burst to the head.
The only problem I have is that the crystal may block my melee, causing me to whiff. But I think it’s not too hard to play around. Great find on the super/aspect requirement btw, might make some new builds for PVE now that I know that!

CRL is such an underrated exotic for pvp also. My preferred pairing is Wicked Implement for pvp, so i can either slow with WI or get freezes from the CRL procking whisper of hedrons for free stats. Im glad it's getting recognition in pve, where it is most powerful

Eyy Cadmus Lancecap is my main exotic! I pair it with an outlaw/headstone Eyasluna, and its definitely one of my most fun ad clearing combinations. I kinda wish they kept the 'being near crystals' DR in addition to the frost armor instead of just outright replacing it, but I think its a better tradeoff overall.
I'm glad to see people advocating for Lancecap because it's so underrated lol

Try Ager's Scepter with this build. Easy for going double special with rocket sidearm and it really nuts
haven’t used lance cap yet, but diamond lance does indeed feel great & i never liked it before. also, in case anyone wasn’t aware, the Stasis Wave Frame GL pairs incredibly well with stasis or diamond lance builds. Lead From Gold + Adrenaline Junkie is the roll i’ve been rocking, & destroying a crystal next to a frozen target will immediately give 5 stacks of Adrenaline Junkie. Cool interaction there.
Throwing a stasis grenade, freezing an enemy, popping it with a shield, then killing an enemy to create another giant crystal, take it down with the GL & you’ve fully stacked your adrenaline junkie. Works like a charm
never knew about the crystal spawning, i might give it a try, love vids of people nerding over niche exotics (Im the same lol)
Its a very cool exotic. My problem is the lack of synergy. Behemoth have probaly the worst synergy of all game, especially with your punch.
I hate frost armour. At least the overshield could save you at low hp. Oh and thanks for the info for when i [probably] never play titan apart from spoils

seems fine but prismatic blows it out of the water with 3 consecrations with a dual class item that can break that build and then you add transcendent as a cherry on top for an instant refresh of all your abilities? Why would you not run that.
Been using Cadmus since the start. Lances are just too fun and only got better with shatter buffs

The stasis reworks should have turned diamond lances into the stasis version of tangles with all classes having access
I have this exotic but Stasis isn't an enjoyed subclass (in my opinion) but always great to see others having fun with Behemoth. Then again, Void Titan saying this that enjoys Prismatic.
If you set it up right you can have constant melee uptime and super back in no time. I have 5 strength on my stasis titan lol, get my melee back through stasis shards that also give frost armor now too

I feel like it's worth noting: the fragment that boosts damage to crystals with primary ammo weapons stacks with hakke breach armaments. This makes disparity INSANELY good at popping crystals, to the point where you can actually shatter 4 crystals with a single burst since it does so much damage to crystals that each bullet in the burst can pop a crystal. Is it needed? no. Is it incredibly satisfying to sweep your hipfire across an entire glacier grenade and shatter four crystals with a single burst? absolutely.
@@burnin8able and extra damage to frozen targets! It's really fun with Revision Zero's sniper shots. Huge damage in a single shot!
Just tried this out tonight and I'm having issues getting lances to spawn fast enough when in strikes and nightfalls. I don't have the weapons you have, which may be what's up. I was using Call and Grav Lance. Any suggestions? I can see this becoming my favorite build - if I can start cooking with it.
@ItsGBZ if you have the aspect on, try out a Stasis weapon. It'll give you the flexibility to create one from a weapon or ability kill, while retaining the ability to create them behind a rally.

The precision hits portion can work with any weapon. Not just stasis. So just choose whatever you want. Notwithstanding, something with headstone will feed into the stasis verbs better.
But as long you can land precision it is very easy to keep it up.

One of my favorite exotics. Wish they would add a stack of frost armor when hitting enemy with a Lance. I have 3 main builds: 2 stasis and 1 prismatic.
So Glacial Quake actually is pretty good vs large bosses and aoe damage vs large groups of adds. So if you don't care about using a stasis primary you can use the new Khvostov. It hits ALOT which means it produces a shitload of super energy

Diamond lance buffs are nice but CRL encourages a relatively static playstyle in D2 where standing still on harder content often means being bombarded by enemies. This can either lead to being downed or having your rally barricade destroyed pretty darn quickly. Plus, it is not a particularly exciting playstyle to set up shop behind barricades in order to get the most out of your exotic. It also has no real answer if you are forced off your barricade by lingering AOE. There are better alternatives for a behemoth build than what CRL offers, both in up time and freezing. Still, it's hard to deny it's very satisfying to throw diamond lances around.
I love lance cap but not going to lie it's been rough to use the old revision zero build I'm dieing way more then I feel I should be with it but I'll try the new fragments you suggested see what happens thanks man
The exotic would go even harder if the Diamond Lances actually shattered other crystals. Its a bug that prevents it from happening along with Consecration and it been 2 weeks with no fix.
Also on stasis with CRL, if your lances hits any powerful enemy you get sent straight into cooldown which I personally think is horrible.

but fr though y'all should try using agers scepter and the new whisper of chill+stasis surge mods with this exotic, the sheer amount of damage and shards I was putting out is absolutely unreal, I literally flawlessed a master lost sector 31 power under. Also add in indebted kindness and cold comfort and you'll be a genuine friggin behemoth
Im with you bro, i use mostly all the shard fragments to boost ability regen but i have 100 res, 100 recov, and 80 disaplin.
I love the lance cap
I use Psi Hermetic V with Headstone. The Wildcard origin perk is strong enough to shatter the Headstone crystals that are made, which makes explosions automatic. It's nuts.

I lance cappped my way throught the Final Shape campaign. Fun exotic with Travlers Chosen is pretty awesomely stupid, actual encouraging me too use my rally barricade

I would’ve loved to see one of the two perks here on Lancecap on the Titan exotic class item instead of Spirit of the Hoarfrost. Feel like there isn’t enough synergy for Hoarfrost barricade in the Prismatic kit
Dont forget bold endings would be incredible with this having tombstone and dragonfly.
Once they patch the lances to destroy crystals like they said they would this will be even better. I was using Parasite to blow up crystals which was extremely fun though.

As a hunter, I convinced my buddy to try a stasis build with this back in Lightfall, and he hasn’t taken it off of his stasis build since.

i dont run titan too often but whenever im soloing high level content, cadmus ridge and revision zero are one of my favourite pairings. sure its a super slow playstyle some people might not like but its just so good if you play it right
The Lancecap was one of the exotics of choice I got from the Riven's Wish tokens. I initially ditched it because I think [might be wrong] Diamond Lances had a longer cooldown, like Tangles, and that just made it difficult using it for me. I will check in again now after the Stasis changes to see where it landed up in
oh cool i didnt know it could work without the stasis super on prismatic. Its really nice to have my abilities and stasis weapon make the lances behind my barricade even without precion kills, if you do run prismatic with the stasis super though it makes it easy to always have lances by your side instead of all over the place. I'm a complete hunter main, but I chose to spent some wish token last season on Cadmus and cenotaph just in case. Busted exotics
Raconteur, the stasis bow, is another really amazing primary option for breaking crystals without a need for the fragment.
A full draw shot will shatter any crystal on its own. I like running mine with Wellspring + Headstone.
Lunulata 4B is another really great headstone option with crazy fast draw times, and will also oneshot crystals, but you'll need a lucky world drop to get one.

I need to play around with with this more, but before the buffs i did love this build with the exotic stasis bow. Just fill the battlefield with crystals everywhere then use a GL to shatter them all. The rocket sidearm works as well like you already said haha
It's my go to titan stasis exotic but idk if it can take the place of HOIL or the exotic class item on my prismatic

I run lancecap, and stasis generally, with Buried Bloodline. Stealing the devour keyword makes everything flow so nicely!

I hope this piece gets brought on eventually to exotic class items. Used it for the first half of the Legendary campaign and was absolutely having a blast with it
They would only bring one half of it to the class item though, and I feel like they compliment each other so well, that you'd be better of running the base version, regardless of which half they choose.

Stacked with the new frost armor, you can tank some serious damage with Icefall. The Stasis weapon surge it gives is really strong. Pick your favorite stasis weapons and go to town! If the movement hindrance bothers you, remember you can use swords and your melee ability to move around a bit faster.
If you are on a fireteam, the new No Hesitation auto rifle with Physic on it solves all your healing problems...

The best look I've found for it is to use the Crystocrene set from Europe and then apply Pomegranate Gloss to the vanilla helmet and the class item with Whispered Sheen on the gloves, boots, and torso. It makes your Titan look like they're out backpacking in a tundra, and it the colors all compliment each other pretty well.

As a behemoth main, im in the camp of not liking the stasis changes.
As for cadmus... i find the exotic extremely boring. That being said, when I am playing Behemoth, it is NOT getting unequiped. It is undoubtedly the best Behemoth build/exotic currently in the game, and it's not even close. Dimond lances are an aspect that just dont fit into behemoth and also overall weak, requiring you to travel to pickup lances. But Cadmus is a bandade fix AND MORE to dimond lance, making it one of the worst aspects, to one of the best.
In general, i find still picking behemoth harder and harder every day, especially with this lack-luster "rework" that almost forces you to always have tectonic harvest to be able to live. And cadmus is one of the only reasons i can viable play in higher difficulty content on behemoth anymore with the removal of old whisper of chains.
Side note, wtf were they thinking with some of these changes.
Since when did ANYONE have trobble creating shards, but i guess now we do with the BRUTTAL shard cooldown.
Why in the world would i ever pick chains. Imo it became the new whisper of rime: only works with the harvest aspects for a bad reward.
Whisper of chill is okish, still kinda funky.
Whisper of reversal is a pvp only, or something you use as a funny way to stun overloads.
Whisper of fractures is just downright ussless.

Diamond lances have always felt fantastic. They went from very good to great. I just wish they were stuck to anything else than a titan
