Awesome review! Mathfinder really is a game that rewards you for understanding it. I'm 700 hours in and recently finished my Lich playthrough and it's the most ridiculous thing I've ever experienced. Lich also gets his own set of companions that are very fun to build as well.

Avalanche is one of my most beloved guns. Simply cause I got an Ambitious Assassin / Incandescent roll back in 2022's Dawning event. I could consistently light up a room full of tightly packed enemies. Afterwards do a reload and suddenly have a massive magazine to freely burn through.

You'll be happy to hear Pillars 2 fixed the name issue. Names, words and events of significance get highlighted, and by hovering over these highlighted words with the mouse, the game will show you some text giving the relevant context.

Nice video man, not many people have made a video on transcendence specifically. Have you done any or have any specific testing/info on how Facet of Devotion works. Would be very helpful thank you

Very surfaced and not in-depth review. This game is complex and interesting, and video reviews should be similar. Would like you to release 1-2 hour long discussion/review/rant about game mechanics, about companions and so on.

I have a Timeworn Wayfarer with Incandescent and Heal Clip that is quite handy for Barrier Champs. Just need to remember the reload mods as it takes about a week to reload.

Orbs were always a thing. That was the main reason for masterworking in vanilla D2. LightFall just got rid of Elemental Wells, Warmind Cells, and Charged with Light mods for the "unified" armor charge system. Did you mean they went from Orbs of Light to Orbs of Power in Beyond Light? Orbs could always generate ability energy through Absolution, Innvervation, Invigoration, Insulation, and Restoration mods. Elemental Wells just has the effect built in and with 10% for all abilities instead of 1 if it matched your subclass and 10% to the lowest charged ability if unmatched. You also mentioned Heavy Handed and Firepower suck due to the 10-second cooldown and armor cost when they're nigh the same as the subclass generators because all subclass orb generation is on a 10-second cooldown and cost a fragment slot, while Firepower and Heavy Handed can have their cooldown reduced, subclass fragments can't. Not to mention that most mods on the arms cost 2-3 energy so it's just a matter of trading one for the other. You also glazed over a few of the subclass orb generators: Arc is not a siphon-like effect as it's on a 10-second cooldown and Prismatic can generate up to 4 orbs for allies, not you. Also when saying that the orbs are small is really not doing it justice, orb super gains vary quite a bit for example: base Attrition Orbs, Heavy Handed, Firepower, and Reaper give 0.8% super which can be increased with more copies of the mods. While all subclass fragments, except Prismatic, and base Siphon mods give 2.5%, the beefy orbs you're talking about are made from Super kills, Benevolent Finisher, and the Prismatic Fragment at 7.15%. With Well of Radiance and Sect of Insight giving 3.57% and Ward of Dawn giving base 2.3%. The percentages received from the orb harvester leg mods are not exactly the percentage it says because all abilities have an ability multiplier that can reduce the effectiveness of the harvester mod determined by the base cooldown of the ability. For example, Glacier Grenade has a base cooldown of 121 seconds giving it an ability energy multiplier of 0.625. So 1 orb using the Innervation mod would give 10% * 0.625 = 6.25% energy.

I agree the options to take down champs is pretty mid, it would’ve been nice to have a barrier auto and overlord hand cannon, or something to pop glaives in the mix since I’ve barely seen anyone pick one up

Good for you I dont understand the combat at all my attacks always miss. I keep remaking my character and have all attack high as possible and they still miss! This game is really hard to understand but I want to play it.😢

Absolutely agree that this artifact is an all time turd for anti champion mods. After an episode of epic options Bungie just said here, have this Kife. RZero is a GOAT'd weapon but I've been taking Chaos into ELS/MLS when I'm farming and really love how they've taken it from a meme weapon to a useful idiot at least in certain places. Good one, Tig.

One of my favorite games ever, the story gave me actual goosebumps. And btw, it's the Mechanics skill that spots the traps, and you get a bonus for scouting. On my last playthrough I maxed my wizard companion's mechanics skill and only stepped on one trap during the entire playthrough, and that was my mistake - I was not in scouting mode.

I’ve had a bunch of good rolls on the linear fusions rifle but I’m trying to get all 4 good perks on 1 gun.. we got 3 weeks so it might happen 😅

The way I handle combat is by surfing around at high speeds in circles blasting mfers with the sniper/shotgun. Fun AF

The crowdfunding phase of CRPG was insane. You got devs making ambitious projects left and right: Divinity Original Sin, Pathfinder Kingmaker, Shadowrun Returns, Tides of Numeda; but this game is my personal favorite.

It's sad that I only found out about this game a decade after it was released, then Deadfire the month after. Dear Obsidian, please spend more on advertising.

None of these are a must have by any means. It’s like basically every dawning is about what new perks will they drop that breaks glaciocasm in PvP. Pulse is mid, linear Fusion Rifles have been nerfed out of the meta, albedo wing gets outdone by a craftable nezarecs whisper, avalanche is a horrible recoil happy machine gun and the armor is to say the least, polarizing

I love wotr...but it's a dumbed down version of PF 1e. You don't get the skills or spells you'd normally get in even just the core rule book. Play the tabletop wotr with some friends and you'll get it.

Prismatic mode chain lightning melee loop is literally what I ran against vespers second boss when I was feeling lazy! Drop the nade and area denial while already prismatic then just meleeeeeeeeee

The Firepower and Heavy handed mod nerfs are a direct response because bungie is afraid of people(titans) generating orbs ad infinum.

After the third try, this is becoming one of my favorites of all time. The lore in this game has completely sucked me in. I spend too much time reading books in dungeons lol. Once you start get going with the combat, it's incredibly satisfying.

im surprised no ones noted the grapple synergy here--even if weak (even going as far as to say pointless). prismatic - grapple + khepri's smoke. ain't gonna take you through a gm, but unraveling constantly proccing on slower enemies is fun, i guess? though you could also achieve the same thing using necrotic's on a strand warlock, so...

Parabellum with rewind attrition beats baton on single target orb generation but let's be real baton is just too good to take off.
