So I tried this scenario 10-15 times and this is my favorite and most efficient combi. Doesn't mean there's another valid one but this worked best! Enjoy :)
I wouldn't have done anything different in all my playtrhoughs. One thing I can share tho: I like to greed it from the beginnning with 2 workshops. Even though the efficiency of the second one is quite a bit less then the one of the first. After a week / 10d you'll see that you can build stuff already upgraded. Saving you resources.
I remember when I built my first city in endless its been 225 days with a population of 1087 people. I want to see how big you can make your city. Keep up the great work
First time comment for you: I've watched some of your earlier Frostpunk playthrough, and I have two suggestions. 1. When there is a storm, you don't empty your buildings. You turn them off. And then you get a massive amputation or death event. You need to take away workers from a building, and don't even bother "turning it off", unless it's a steam hub. Even if the building is "Off", they will still go there and just stand around in the cold, and then lose a limb or drop dead. 2. You never take the Food for 24 Hour Work option. As the game progresses, you lose more and more workers and engineers. It's WAY easier to just give them the food, because when that option is available to take, you usually have more than enough extra food if you're playing right.
@@Nivarias What I mean is, if you use the 24 Hour Shift option, eventually you get a death. Then you get a prompt to choose that if you keep using it, it costs you food rations. I've never seen you take that option in your earlier play throughs. So when you use that option, every other time or so, a few people will die. When you could just be using food rations to make people work 24 hours.
Very good video. I got to FP, because of part 2 premiere, and you are the first UA-camr that did high quality, recent playthrough, from which I can learn something.
The challenge I was working on for a while was the builders scenario where you have to build each settlement up one level before you can build a level of the Generator. Really brutal.
Recently found this channel and love your videos mate. I've been binge watching the transport fever 2 playlist repeatedly and its been a massive help thank you!! 😊👌
Note that you are not making soup even thought you signed the law and the option is available, you have to actually tell them to make soup in the cookhouse. All this time they were making regular meals.Though it's not a big loss since you did save some discontent by leaving it like that.
Du hast echt ein magisches Händchen für diese Spiele. Ich zocke FP seit es rauskommt und habe diese Challenge auch ausprobiert.... War nach zwei drei Stunden komplett am Boden. Good Job!
You are an artist in regard of playing strategy games. When I found your channel over Anno I was like - meeh I am also good at Anno - but on frostpunk I acutally gave up. Watching your gameplay feels like the tutorial I did not know I would need.
Yo nivarias I have been watching for a couple years now and I just want to say you inspired me to play anno 1800 and I just want to say you work hard and we appreciate it
Two questions: 1. Guess you are going for the hothouse, why not hunters? 2.What is the closest game to Frostpunk, in your opinion ?(considering the simplicity of the game, of the mechanics, not many resources to manage..etc.) Also i didn't really play the very hard and extreme scenarios, but even on easy/medium difficulty i think rifts is the hardest of them all because you really need to be careful of your wood/metal and building the bridges...
Hothouses scale better with child workforce (which is mandatory on extreme flats in my opinion) and you can make a nice cluster with shrines/kitchens + have them close to the city I think Frostpunk really is a unique game and there's nothing close to it - for me it's on par with Anno 1800. A masterclass of its own. Difficulty is mostly my opinion. I've also played all scenarios (on my channel) on Survivor difficulty and up to this point I still think nothing beats the first two storms on extreme flats. Refugees on Survivor is also brutal and a close second
Hi Nivarias. that's a really great idea. I really like this game and I hope you will bring us again a very long series full of surprises, commitment and great fun. I'm excited......
I just watched your last playthrough and i was left wanting to see the mega city, please finish this one! I'll continue watching your content anyways bc it's awesome anyways but pls
Just wanted to ask but did you notice that your kitchens are not switched to soup? But Great Video i am hoping for a long series of this Frostpunk Season 😁
Nice video! But i believe it would've been harder if you went for builder mode because then you have to build the massive heater and then have to build a mega city and such
Sad thing about big map(flat) is, there is not enough people to fill the map it self. Endless mode had around 600-700ish population cap (not including automaton). After reaching the population cap shelters/survivors stop showing up in the exploration map
I jsut beat the game my first time on second try with default settings having 100000 coal stocked at a point and always having higher coal output even with max generator settings and overdrive and also having many heaters on and during storm too i had positive coal production as i had many automatons, also had 20k+ food before storm hit..😂😂 if felt too easy I'll definitely ramp up the difficulties now😅
No way the Flats is the hardest map, to me that tittle goes to The Rifts, now... to do The Rifts, Extreme Settings, Survivor (no pause), with hazzard and no settlements that sure brings a chill to my spine
I never place my workshop next to the generator as it has really good insulation (+2, +3 with basic heaters). I reserve the place around the generator for 2 med posts, 1 cookhouse, and the remainder are tents. Placing a workshop there is just wasting the good space😤
wouldnt the hardest possible scenario be the one where you also have to build your own generator? either way am excited for this series cause this has to be one of my fav games
@@Nivarias will do and after this series is done and frostpunk 2 isnt out yet you could do another seriers on that one map where the land scape is broken into pieces might be a nice one to do where you build your own generator (i know am looking far into the future but giving idea's dont hurt right?)
You said you got nothing to get food and made the tier one research but what is about the hunter tent, which is allready available from the beginning? You can build them to get food
Yeah because you need to decide early hothouses or coal mining. Since I go with thumpers I go hothouse. You can't go both (workforce, wood) early. Try it, you will fail by day 6-7
@@Nivarias You do it for the wrong reasons. First you can wait to apply the 24hr shift when workers are actually working and second the workers are better on their workplace than out in the open. I don`t see any reason to do what you did but maybe i`m wrong.
@@CorruptorPeste Hes doing it to cheese his way out of the scripted death on the second extended shift. This way he can use extended shift as much as he wants and no one will ever die from it. He says as much in the video.
@@CorruptorPeste No only on the second use. If it doesn't proc on the second use of emergency shift it wont proc on any of the others either. been trying to get this achievement for many years..😅
im gonna try ur build👍👍
New frostpunk content
Hope rises
Discontent lowers
The city must survive…
Might be missing the streams but I'm not missing the videos! Glad to see Frostpunk is back on the menu ❤
Enjoy! :)
I really like how thorough and detailed you're being with what you're doing and why you're doing it! Makes things very easy and convenient to follow

Amazing, love to see more folks get into Frostpunk! My favourite game ever!!
You were the one who introduced me to Frostpunk, and I can not stop watching this game. Can't wait to see this playthrough fully

Hm, don't understand point two because I am not putting Hothouses in emergency anyway. Point 1 is valid and I am using this actually.

@@Nivarias Point two, I think there is an ingame event, where the people who work for 24h ask for more food.
Yeah, don't agree to that. Penalty is small.
If you give them the food they never die over work. You should 100% give them extra food so you can use 24hr shift without killing people.

Wait really? When I sign the law the switch is automatic.
What I always thought soup was always on that’s why I never passed that law.
Cool seeing someone play this on the hardest level. You always learn a lot of little tips and tricks from a video like this

Oh man! This game is a masterpiece.
I can't wait to see city-building gods like you break Frostpunk 2 especially with how different it looks to be from FP1
Thank you for making your videos. I've been having a tough time lately and your videos are so good to just zone out to.

I think Frostpunk is what Farthest Frontiers thried to be, minus the militia-units skirmishes aspect.
hey man, im a bit late, but one game I really enjoyed that feels a bit like Frostpunk is Ixion
Always up for some good ol' Frostpunk!
I love your Frost Punk videos! I've watched like 3 series of your lets plays of Frostpunk
I highly recommend doing a builders play through, I would absolutely watch that
Cant wait for frostpunk 2!
Was in the live stream love the vids
18:08 you missed activating the Soup rations in the cookhouse.
You must be doing something right. I woke up from a nap and this video was on. Interesting enough to start it over and watch it all. And more.

You have been producing regular meals instead of the soup all the time I think, at least that's what I think from icons from the cookhouse menu
I don't think so. If that's the case then we won't have enough food because without soup it doesn't work.

why not build the beacon far away? it doesn't need heating.

Anno please :D
Today!
Got really frustrated seing you talk about the soup when you had normal rations on ^^
Nearly pulled my hair out when I sawmyou put the workshop and coockhouse on the first ring of the city. Such a rookie mistake.

I would rather sleep beside the burner under the sky than a cold tent.

How is this Frostpunk 2 when there seems to be no difference from the first one?
you are not cooking soup you need to change the option in the kitchen to soup
