So, I tried this, but the file is different, this texture pack got updated so the textures aren't loading properly. Do I need the newest version of the experimental version to run this properly?
@@TutorialClan Yes, and I followed all of the steps carefully, and I even did the widescreen and 60 fps tutorials, but things such as goop and text isn't high resolution, it's just normal.
@@TutorialClan I actually just figured it out. The newest version only works on the newest experimental Dolphin version. Thank you for the help anyway, though! This video helped me figure out how to download this!

For people trying to do this in 2023, the latest version of Dolphin for whatever reason has moved Dolphin emulator to default to your appdata folder which is probably in your C: drive.
I'm using Dolphin 5.0-20347 with Windows 11 in 2024 and I needed to unzip the file (GMS.7z) using 7-Zip exclusively. Additionally, the textures directory used in this version of Dolphin is "C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Dolphin Emulator\Load\Textures". The game directory should be called "GMSP01" if it is a European release or "GMSE01" if it is a North American release. I hope this helps.

this still isnt working and I have the latest dolphin update, I did all the steps and nothing gets upscaled:( any ideas on how to fix it? EDIT: Finally got it to work, had to get a very old version of developer dolphin emu

@@inhalemusic8926 hi Morgan, so I had to go to config, basic settings and enable cheats, and then go to graphics and set aspect ratio to force 16:9. Got the game running and 4k with some anti aliasing and anisotropic filtering on and I'm getting 60fps. Thanks for all the tutorials

I'm not 100% sure why some people aren't having a modification work
@@TutorialClan they might have the pal version and name the folder something else. GMSE01 for USA, GMSJ01 for Japanese, GMSP01 for pal.

It works with Mario Galaxy 2 but I have random stuttering (iPad Pro 3rd Gen). Any tips? Edit: Resolution is at 1080p

There's a texture pack you can get that will replace the stars with no image so they can't appear
