That is so true frizz help it to combine together. If you think about a person who got in the shower with no shower cap and lay down with wet hair didn’t comb there hair or nothing for a month there hair get matted together which basically is what locs are they matt together to create this gorgeous look😘
Yup, my last loc journey I used to put my hair under the water in like every other day. My hair looks a lot like yours and I started seeing budding around 7 months. I loved the frizz❣️ I just started my new loc journey about a month ago and i I can’t wait to commit to these forever

So true!!! I started locking at 4 months. I wash my hair every 2 weeks and refreshed it daily. During the first month I washed it weekly. I never wear shower caps. It wasn’t intentional. Like you said I gave it what it needed. My locs needed water everyday lol I’m around the 4b hair texture.

It’s 3b/c that you don’t see as many of because we listened to people tell us “our hair couldn’t loc” that’s changing, I’m starting to see more and more curly-straight textures with locs… including me😃
Oh man, you don't have lumps in hair, I'm so jealous. I did two strand twists to start my loc, and my hair is so freaking lumpy. 😒

Sometimes but to avoid that I put my hair in two pigtails.

Can you do this on transitioning hair?
I’m sure you can, however there may be a distinguished difference between two textures. But over time it might actually even out and fill in.
