- What's up Lil Unicorns! I hope this info about how to make hair loc faster is helpful to you like it has been to me! Of course this isn't going to happen over night, but I have already seen a huge difference in my hair! Also, upon further investigation, I found that there are actually products on the market that mimic what I made at home! I hope you enjoy!
Peace

you're one of the first people who has said all hair is beautiful and I actually believe you
Sidenote:OMG WE'RE NEARLY NAME TWINS! and I'm like 111😆
Thank you! I'm changing my locitian because she's so stuck on me not washing my locs. I'm a clean woman, I like my hair to smell good. I would've never started my journey if I thought I couldn't keep my scalp clean. What a relief to hear this!
You can check adannadavid page here on youtube and see how she washes her locs...
Locs are fragile. They were probably forewarning you about the dangers of manipulating your hair too much. A lot of manipulation causes breakage and baldness.
For me washing helped my hair loc faster.
Back in the late 60s and early 70s, my dad said he would swim in the ocean and almost never wash his hair in order to get his 2c-3a curls (he's mixed) to matte up enough for him to pick into the perfect fro. That man was RECKLESS😂 I love him tho
Haha great story. Thanks for sharing
Okay but I was distracted by ... everything about her. Face, eyes, collarbones, tats, rings, brows- I MEAN GAWDAMN SUS CAN YOU BE ANY PRETTIER?! 🦄
Fr bro
Seriously
I’m sholl halfway through the video and realized I hadn’t heard a word she said 😂 staring the whole time like wait a sec
“I’m gon look cute regardless” yesss sis!🦄❤️
I’m 6months in with micro interlocs and my 8yr old just started her loc journey with 2strand twists on Monday!!🦄
2 strand twist is the best way to me to start locs. Until they "bud" they're locs. I start most clients hair with 2 strands twists. Please wash your scalp every 2 weeks. Salt water is great to loc hair. Think of all our Jamaican Brothers and sisters. They swim in salt water. Please cleanse that scalp. You'll be good
mz Tremias I’m Jamaican so I say this all the time lol thanks for the info!
@@WestIndieRay ok. I'm alil new to your channel. I'm Trinidadian so we're on the same page. Thanks 4 sharing with us💕
What do I use to loc my hair? I’m a loose natural. Do I use gel when I two strand twist?
@@Sheshollywood i'll suggest make sure you hydrate your hair with a water based or butter base cream. Seal the hair with oil. And twist in damp or dry hair. It will shrink after you wash it but use a stocking cap to wash shiiiiii they won't unravel
@@mztremias what do you mean use a stocking cap to wash?
🦄Just started my loc journey today from a TWA! I was only able to rope twist half my head, I’m going to finish the rest tomorrow after work. Super excited! Thank you for all of these videos. You inspired me two years ago to start locing and I even had you on my vision board last yr and this yr as my hair inspo and I finally doing it! They literally look like little tiny plant sprouts but can’t wait to see how they turn out throughout time 🥺😍 Many blessings to you 💗✨
9 months into my two strand twist and living every single one of my 123 locs 🌱
🦄
Im a proud 🦄 and i restarted my journey June 21st, 2022! I started the second time with 2 strand from coils and its been a MUCH better experience! I adore your channel and i’ve been following for a while thank you for your genuine spirit 🤗
Haven't even started my locs yet, but you're whole energy is giving me life! YAS FOR BLACK SELF LOVE! 🦄
This is genius. Living on the beach this makes so much sense. Thank you!
Omgg I saw your face in my recommended and I was like why does she look familiar...and I was like Ragin! (Idk if you use your real name on social media) Then I started watching all your videos lol You have grown even more beautiful since I've seen you in middle school! I am so sorry about your mom, but I know she'll recover. Crazy we both have locs now. Definitely gonna be tuning in to your journey!
Nicolette!! Hey girl hey! So glad to see you here lol Thank you so much for your kind words. I hope all is well with you and your family as well. I was literally listening to that "yah trick yah" song the other day and remembered how your brother used to say that to you in middle school lmao Idk why that came to mind!
Omg love love love your locs! Thinking of starting my locs soon and my name is Re’Gene (pronounced Ray-gene) crazy!
I’m not working
I’m not working at this
Just started my loc journey on 7/12/23 and your videos have been everything, thank you!🦄
I like to use aloe vera juice, water mixed with tea tree and lemon oil. I spritz my hair daily and massage my scalp.
Finishing up the back of my head today with two strand twists to start my loc journey
I’m about 3 weeks into my loc journey with that 2 strand twist method. This was inspirational for me.
Hi same have you washed them yet, I watched and retwist yesterday but I’m taking a break because I keep twisting and my hair isn’t locking
Who said you can’t wet your hair? That’s a total misconception. Water makes your hair loc faster
but wont they unravel if they're still young
vileToxxie just twist them back up. I rinse once a week and spray daily with water
@@angie101972 I found this to be true. Water definitely helps with the locking process.
vileToxxie mines don’t unravel at all and I spray every three days
🦄 new subscriber, loose natural gang
I’m a few days into my loc journey and I’m so glad I came across your channel 🦄✨
Yay. I wanna loc so bad and I’ve been trying to figure out a method to loc my hair easily because I wet/wash my hair often. I was going to do extensions but this is much better. I usually get tired of my fro and cut it but now since I see this it’s a GO for locs for me. 🦄
Im on my loc'd journey and its been 3 days as ofof today. I feel like its helping me learning to let it be shrunken and not being uncomfortable. and i would really like to know what you put in your love potion ❤❤
Yes I was told not to wash my hair until it loc. And I’m like I workout and my scalp sweats bad, I’m washing my hair! My scalp starts itch within 3 days I’m washing or putting my head under some water lol
How are your Locs now
I am so ready for this. I’m ready to be freed from the burden of high maintenance and worrying am I good enough. This is me! I want to feel that everyday.
Your hair looks a lot like my texture. I tried locs two times. This is my 3rd time and I’m starting with two strand twists but I’m feeling discouraged because the unravel. Some are unraveling and some are tangling. It’s like 3 different textures in my hair. Thank you for the info ! Very helpful
the unraveling stage is normal! it’s known as “bunching” and it will do that and then start budding & maturing
🦄I’m on my loc journey now. Only 15 days in. I spritz my hair with water every day so it could be manageable a for it to drop a little bit. My hair is trying to loc in the middle. I really can’t wait for my first retwist. But your video is keeping me encouraged to keep moving forward.
So glad I watched this. I’m getting starter locs next week and I’m clueless about maintenance. I will be going to a stylist that specializes in locs and having her retwist, but I need to know how to maintain them between appointments, especially while working out.
Can you use regular salt
I love your hair. I am currently twisting my hair into two strand twists and considering not taking them out. Thanks for the video
Awww big sis you look soooo pretty 😍😍 I can't wait to see your hair fully locked
Your locs are beautiful. I've her mine loc for soon to be 6 week coming up and I haven't washed it. It's definitely time for a retwist.
You are absolutely correct. I used salt water on my hair and my hair loc’d. I started my loc journey August 7 2019 and my hair has several different textures. The hair at the nape of my head is very loose so are the sides and front. The crown has a tighter coil and loc’d within 4 weeks. Since using the salt water the nape is loc’d. Water whether or not it is salt water or regular water will help get you loc’d faster. It makes sense. Water helps with shrinkage which helps with matting, so naturally the hair will loc. In fact the more I wash my hair the faster it locs.
🦄❤️ I always figured water helped loc faster because my hair always knotted/matted when air drying after washing. Idk but I’m going to try it because I just started my loc journey two days ago so I’m excited to try it.
Thanks for posting! I’m so excited to start my journey and was looking at my stylist crazy when they said no water too lol..firstly, I workout a lot and my hair doesn’t take kindly to no water at all..plus who wants to start a journey with dry locs?? Great to see it’ll Loc just fine 🦄
I'll start my locks in a few days! So excited! Thanks for this tip. I'll do it 4 sure! 🦄
I did inter locing method using a.crochet hook. And it has worked for me. No wrong way to start locs. In my opinion lol happy loc journey loves. 2months loc
i first saw you on IG and you were instant inspiration for me with your loc journey! i’ve been wanting to start this for years now so i’m happy i came across you on youtube too for this helpful tips. i def agree with you on being all for the process but we gotta keep it cute! lol 💕
I just started with coils last night. Our hair is about the same length so you've been my locspiration🥰🦄
🦄 New here have locs second go round took them out 1sr time and hated how the person locd my hair. I am literally taking them down and starting them with 2 strand twists. This video really helped me because I feel I can maintain them better myself and you have given me the confidence. Thanks again!!! Bout to binge watch the rest of the videos.
I waited about 4 weeks before I washed. and then I washed every week since. my hair was starting to bud within the first month.
🦄 thinking of starting locs and I’m thinking the two strand twists is how I want to start too!
Love your hair, you’re beautiful, and thanks for sharing 😘
🦄 4 days into my journey 💕💕 thank you for the video
Love it. Can’t wait until this shutdown is over so I can go to the salon and start my journey. 🦄
Lorraine Shivers I’m thinking the same thing but then I’m like should I just start it myself!
I said the same thing but now I can't wait!! Gonna start them myself!
Soooo .. hows y’all journey going? Lmao
“I’m gonna look cute, regardless” girl I just let out the biggest PERIOD
I’m in love with her hair ✨👸🏽✨
This was so helpful. I’m 5 days into my journey and I’m loving it. New subscriber!! ❤️
I’m 9 days in and I’m so grateful she braided my roots
Love your locs, they are going to be really nice on you as they grow even more, but cute at this stage already 🦄
🦄
Loving this. I started mine 3 months ago. Am from Jamaica. We usually wash our hair after swiming at the beach. Thanks for the tips.
I am in the same boat I’m 1 month and 3 weeks in and that is also in my go to style and I did the finger coil method and water does help loc faster my locs in the back are locking fast but my roots are puffy though
So awesome! I started my loc journey a week ago and I'm so excited to see where they go from here
Issa Sign lol!
You said oct 21st which is my bday and when i want to get locked and 3 weeks.. 3 is one of my favorite numbers.😂 thinking of starting myself. Yours turned out great! 🦄
Hi! I just came across your videos. How are your locs so curly? I love it! I’m currently a 3c about to start my loc journey and am highly considering the instant loc method with the crochet needle to speed up the locking process. But I want to still have some curly effect!
Some people loc most of their hair and leave the tips curly and it looks cute tbh.
@@jaydenpelagio6279 this is the method I chose to do! I love it. Loc’d since 4/20/21
I love it ..... I just started my loc journey 3 days ago I’m so excited 🦄
Just started my journey on the 24th! My hair is much shorter than yours tho
Being from Cali, your definitely on the right track! I have let my hair and children’s just be during the summer where all we do is swim. I can’t even describe how Rasta our hair is. But I love it! 🦄
🦄 got me in here looking for an unicorn emoji. 😂😂 I know this video was last year but this is the video that got me decided on how I’m starting my locs again! Thank you for this! Let’s gooooooooo!
Girl you shine I love your energy
Wow you are so beautiful! Love your energy! Can't wait to follow your loc journey
I’m ready to start my journeyyyy I was already going into it but watching your videos give me confidence that I can start mine myself. thank youuuu!!🦄😃
🦄 starting my loc journey next month!! I’m so excited to start this new spiritual journey! Thank you for sharing 🦄🦄🦄
Yep that loc up cream. I use natural only. Love it. Have to try that water thou. Im lazy when it comes to keeping my scalp moisturized.
im so excited to loc my hair next week🦄🦄
🦄 I'm so ready for my lock journey!
Thanks for those precious tips, I am just starting my locks journey and your videos are the most helpful in my opinion, ever though I have to make more effort because English is not my first language 🦄, much love
Love your hair. It looks really nice. Thank you for the hints. I'm trying to turn my twists into locks.

Love love love 💕 love the color, love the locs. They look great
🦄. I love your hair! Did you already have color in your hair when you first started your locs? If so, is the color maintenance process the same as with loose hair, or is it easier with locs?
You locs gone come out so cute 💛
🦄starting my loc journey im hella excited i ran across ur channel u r gorgeous btw
I still have my locs 3 going on 4 months in !!! hope it gets better!! Love your videos btw !
Starting today! I was on the fence but you cemented my decision.
🦄 your hair is really cute. Gonna start mines next week. Thanks 😊
🦄🦄 thanks for this - very helpful. Starting my twists to locs journey sooon
🦄 just started my loc journey today love you channel ❤️
I think I am going to loc my hair now 🦄😳
this is very helpful as someone starting from scratch with natural curly/3c/4a hair that is past the shoulder. As soon as you get out of the shower to apply product so it makes to sense to add salt water and then fresh water. I live by the beach - makes it easier. What oil do you use or recommend?
Thank you so much. My hair is very fine, this is my second loc journey, I was told not to wet my hair for two months, my scalp was itching horribly. I had to wash it.
🦄 looks wonderful!
New subscriber I use rose 💧 some years ago I was on a cruise 🛳 and I shampoo my hair that salt water was so amazing I had no tangles in my hair. Peace love and light goddess 💜
I'll be starting mine today😊Thanks for the detailed video
Locs look so cool!!!!! Great video
Congrats on this new journey ! I've subscribed recently and appreciate your channel.
I'm 15 I got a nose piercing for my birthday and that it's been in a week or so I'm ready to loc my hair. We moved from America to Tanzania (right on the sea) 7 months ago and I guess its perfect for me to start now. Plus a lot of black Americans I've met have locs and some of them do them theirselves. Also our visa is up 5 months from now so I'm excited to start
Just found you!! I'm so glad I did, now to watch this journey. And yes darling....subscribed..😁🦄
