- Welcome FLocers (fellow locers and aspiring locers). In this video I talk about the amazing miracle that is salt water and how it aids in helping your locs to Loc faster. For those who have access to go to a beach, one of the cheapest and easiest ways to help your locs to Loc faster and speed up the maturation process is to simply go for a swim. Dip your locs in the ocean and allow nature to do the rest. Make sure to stay consistent with your moisture routine though, as salt water does have a drying effect on your locs and scalp. So it’s very important to make sure you’re putting moisture back into your locs.

I loooove wetting my locs! And I've gone into the ocean with my 1st set of locs once or twice for that reason....to loc it faster. I think it helps but definitely can be drying. Nothing some oil can't fix!

Hello I’m new with my micro braidlocs. I have plenty of scalp showing. Is there any tips you can give of how to care for my hair?
And I wants to dye my hair the color of yours as well
Hi! Since I have Braidlocs and have no issue with slippage or unraveling, I use hair oil and conditioner on my locs. I have an extremely dry scalp and dry hair so I have to make sure to keep my locs moisturized! Before I dyed my hair I would moisturize maybe twice a week, but now I try to do it every other day for my color-treated locs!

You won’t see it Loc overnight but salt water can definitely help speed up the locing process!
Did saltwalter dry your hair out
It did so I had to make sure to put the moisture back in
sea salt and water in a spray bottle will give the same result..no need to go to the beach
That’s the quick and easy way, but if you’re already near water, why not?!
