    Boss needs to put that ATV v-plow on the snowrator then they'd actually have something

    ATV’S and SXS’s are the worst things to plow with if your require maneuverability and backing up frequently. For the size of operation you’re describing here nothing beats an AWD John Deere X700 series hydrostatic with a hydraulic plow system. It is the fastest thing transitioning from forward to reverse with such a tight turning radius

      Agreed. John Deere machines/tractors are fantastic options to consider.

      Thanks 👍 Snow wolf plows are ok. They do the job. Would probably go with a kage plow or Arctic plow instead if we had access to them at the time. Would probably have done a ventrac over the snowrator if we also had the ability to check it out, looks well built from what I have seen online.

      @@AutoPilotMT We have a kage now on our skid loader but I’m looking to switch to snow Wolf. I think it really depends on what accounts you are using them at to make the right choice. We are just taking the box on and off way to much for our HOA accounts.

    Hi, I live in Denmark and here we can not buy snowrator, but ATV we can buy all kinds of different brands
    Now you know a lot about ATV and I'm not sure if I should buy a Honda Rubicon, Polaris or a TGB
    Honda is really expensive and has smaller engines than the other two products, what would you recommend
    Sincerely, Erik Nielsen

      Sold my old one for the SR mag. Everything you pointed out is why. I’m curious if it actually heats your hands/legs we will see. First impressions see one in person. It’s well thought out. Looks well built. Everything is clean and organized. I am a excited to try it out. The controls are much smoother and have more feedback/tension. More premium feeling. Fuel injection, Larger motor, heated hand grip and lighted whips/stobes pre wired and labeled on harness even though they aren’t showing it as an option to buy right now. Haven’t taken delivery yet because we have zero attachments just the machine at my dealer. I will make a video when I’m actually able to bring it home lol

    Also when the v plow is not in float does it have down pressure from the weight of the plow or do the Hydraulics also put down force on it?

    • @AutoPilotMT
      @AutoPilotMT  3 роки тому +1

      When the plow is not in float the hydraulics hold the plow at the specific height it is stopped at. No down force on the v plow at all just the weight of the plow and gravity.

    There are limiters on the forward travel on the handles if you take the bolts out and move them forward Andre drill the holes you can get quite a bit more speed you can get as much as 10 miles per hour out of these machines

    • @AutoPilotMT
      @AutoPilotMT  3 роки тому

      I modified the hand controls to give me a little more speed forward than backwards just by unscrewing and turning the rods going down . I’ll have to take another look. 👍

      @@AutoPilotMT That sounds good, but where you need to look at is up at the hand controls the stainless steel limiting bars in front and in back can be adjusted if you take the quick adjust knobs completely off that bar will slide forward another almost 2" giving you more forward travel you wouldn't believe how much faster they get

    I'm thinking of purchasing this for the 2021 winter season. How are you liking this Snowrator after using it? Thanks in advance.

    • @AutoPilotMT
      @AutoPilotMT  2 роки тому

      Did not used it much at all last season. It’s a fun little machine. Turning 360 and being able to make quick adjustments is really nice. Given that it’s not a fast machine it doesn’t curl snow like an ATV would with that little extra speed to throw snow further away from what your plowing. Only reason I didn’t use it much last season is because I had the rear plow on my truck mostly every storm. With the rear plow you can’t tow a trailer at the same time to transport the snowrator. I used it at times on sites but for me personally having the rear plow on the truck was more important then hauling the snowrator around. I used the snowblower more. Was wishing I had the snowrator on every site last year would have made everything much easier and quicker. Really depends on what your plowing and your sites. If the snowrator had the v plow and a little extra speed it would be close to perfect. Just so damn slow. Having the brine and salt capabilities on one machine is also really nice. If you don’t use any of those things ATV is probably better. Just getting around quicker and throwing the snow better. ATV also you can use year round. Snowrator just sat all spring,summer,fall. Have you thought about toro multiforce, ventrac, or an ATV? Really depends on what your/customers needs are. Snowrator gets the job done. I’m excited to get more time on it this year.

      @@AutoPilotMT thanks for the quick response! I’ve been in lawn care for 20 yrs although I’m a brick and Stone mason as well, so this is my first yr actually plowing. I have a large number of residential clients and was looking at possibly only doing their driveways and walkways. Wasn’t thinking of commercial accounts this season. Again that was my dilemma, ATV (dual purpose) with a V-plow or the Snowrator (this make sense for the driveways and such, obviously not bigger lots).

    • @AutoPilotMT
      @AutoPilotMT  2 роки тому +1

      Yeah it’s all personal preference really. The snowrator is pretty expense. I wish it was fuel injected it gets hard to start on super cold days and sometimes the throttle/rpm will freeze in a position. I go back and forth because the ATV is awesome and fast but it can’t spin 360 on a dime. It’s really hard to beat the v-plow. It’s just so good. Put the v on the snowrator and it’s an easy choice. I do miss having the ATV to drive in the summer and it was a blast in the winter and a beast. If the driveways and sidewalks are small. Probably snowrator for maneuverability. If they are large long driveways and sidewalks ATV is better and quicker, it will actually curl the snow quicker and more effectively. I would plow a small road with the ATV if I really needed to. If you can drive the machine to each account ATV wins because the snowrator is to slow to go anywhere fast without a trailer and truck unless your accounts are one after another or on the same block. So many ways to think about it. Either way you go just make sure it’s best for what you need at the time and in your budget. If you can get on one of each at a dealer and check them out that would be a good way to help decide as well.

    What is the best snowmobile suit to stay warm all night on a four wheeler

    • @AutoPilotMT
      @AutoPilotMT  3 роки тому

      Any full body suit would probably keep the heat in better. But as long as you have good gloves, shoes, and ear/head protection that’s were you’ll lose most of your warmth if those areas get wet or cold. I use KLIM products,509, and some north face products.

    Just bought a 2023 polaris sportsman 850 premium and added the Boss V plow. Having issues with weight distribution and the front suspension sagging to a point where the electrical connections can rub the left tire and when backing out from pile with blade raised doesn't like to turn because of almost no weight in the rear. Did you have these problems and what was your solution?

    Currently been using snow blowers, 721 to be exact. I service two churches one 7200 sq feet and another 2300 sq ft of dude walks. Would the snowrator be more efficient?

    • @AutoPilotMT
      @AutoPilotMT  3 роки тому

      If your snowblowers are working and doing the job and your ok with it, it will take longer but your profit to expense ratio is probably better. The Snowrator is slow but faster then a snow blower. The snowrator won’t curl the snow like an ATV with more speed. The snowrator won’t throw the snow like a snow blower either. But being able to turn 360 on a sidewalk and having a snowplow that is as wide as a sidewalk will be more efficient than a snowblower and quicker. But you could buy a few snowblowers compared to the cost of a snowrator.

    Snowrators are very slow in my opinion. Having the BOSS v-plow mounted on my SCAG V-ride II is amazing. The other benefit to putting the v-plow on the stand on mower it that my crew is already very comfortable on the SCAG. They know the machine and are outstanding at operating it already.

      Why did you go with the scag over toro?

    • @davidsonlawn3035
      @davidsonlawn3035 3 роки тому +1

      @@AutoPilotMT The Multiforce is a really nice machine. But it’s not as heavy as the SCAG and mine has the commercial EFI Vanguard engine which is nearly 40hp. It is FAST! Now you do give up the multi attachments but I don’t think I’d use most of them. I believe they only offer the straight blade on the Toro however, several people have modded them to accept the V-Plow. I already had the SCAG which, I’m my opinion is a much better mower than the Toro.
      One downside is no down pressure on my setup... yet 😁. It hasn’t been an issue though.
      I haven’t done the math entirely, but I believe my setup is a few thousand less than a mutiforce with the snow plow package and I have the V-plow over the offered straight blade which is a HUGE time saver.

      Snowrators are set up like a skid and can push way more snow then you think. The chasis, engine and components are permanently winterized and designed to run in the cold. Those mowers are not at all. Not to mention snow tires, fluid film for the rust, light installation so your giys can see. Snowrator just needs more development

      The v plow

    • @AutoPilotMT
      @AutoPilotMT  3 роки тому

      It fits on smaller/standard sidewalks just barely the only thing you have to watch out for are the cutting edge protectors on each side they add to the width of the plow. As soon as the ground freezes it’s not an issue. Usually I plowed the sidewalks not in the v position but in the straight position left or right and it fit just fine. On the deeper days never had any issues with cutting into the grass in the v position.
