He had some good guests. On one show he had 3 year old Tiger Woods, Jimmy Stewart and Bob Hope on the same show. Also John Lennon and Yoko appeared on the show.
One of the most diverse variety shows ever. Diverse in every way - not just the obvious. The daily guest roster ran the gamut. You had to be a student to even be aware of a variety show that comes on weekday afternoons with guests that ran the gamut, as did Mike Douglas. Syndicated local daily strip from Philly. And Mike was a cool host who was comfortable with everyone.
I was about 13 when Rodney did this bit. I recall seeing him on TV back then, getting my first taste of grown up humor and becoming a lifelong fan of his. A true legend.👍
I was so lucky to see him at Caesars Palace in the mid 90's. His show had hundreds or rapid fire one liners. A true legend. I regret that I didn't buy an autographed tie for $75.
For laughs, yes, he was the greatest stand-up. For intelligent, hard-hitting social and philosophical material, the greatest ever was George Carlin. Take a look at him if you don't believe me.
He's on mine, definitely. Norm, Bill Cosby (yes, I know he is a disgusting creep, but that doesn't take away his comedic genius), Rodney, and probably Steven Wright. But yours is solid.
Rodney. A Legendary Comedian that didn't really get too much recognition until he was like 50(47 here), some guys think it's over when they haven't even begun to hit their stride, so it's good to stick around and see what happens.
I was just missing him Robin Williams and George carlin. We don’t have anything like that anymore. Just saying. Just glad I got to watch them over the years. I still get to watch Craig Ferguson .sometimes..he’s still around. Great comedian also. Wish he was still on late night. Maybe take Jimmy Fallon’s place or something. Ferguson was better than anybody that was home at the time. And I’m not the only one that feels that way. CBS screwed up. Like the morons they are. Oh well Their loss.
I never got to see or here Rodney Dangerfield much at all so i am glad i found his videos it amazes me me how he can keep from busting out laughing when he tells his one liners 😂
I get no respect. I mean my whole life, I don't get no respect at all... My dog makes me feel like I'm dirty. He jumps in my bed and then smells it for 10 minutes before he lays down. 🤭
I always thought Rodney Dangerfield was one of the best comedians out there. He and Don Rickles were so funny that when you heard that either one was going to be a guest on Johnny Carson's Tonight Show you knew you were in store for a lot of laughs.
I'll tell I was in rough shape last week but I'm alright now. My kids, NO RESPECT, I sez to my boy someday you'll have kids of your own. He said So will You, someday.🤪😁👌
After over half a Century, listening to him in 2022, his comedy never ceases to make me laugh! He allows me to remember when the World seemed to be a simpler place!
All thru his career I’m still amazed how he could remember all those one liners. I never heard him mess up a line. He was a true professional.
The dramatic pauses improve his focus I feel. Car jokes were funny I admit.
Absolutely the best!
He was the best! Nobody after him will ever be as good as Rodney. Thanks for the laugh today. RIP Rodney.
I'm 63 yrs old and use all of Rodneys material on young kids and party goers,, helps to be my age to truly appreciate Rodney !!!!
You're still killin it Rodney. RIP.
What a treat! Made my weekend. Never gonna see one like him🌹❤️
A true legend. One of the funniest people that ever walked the planet.
Rodney was the greatest comedian ever
I'm old enough to remember The Mike Douglas Show before I was 10. I'm 65 years old.
He had some good guests. On one show he had 3 year old Tiger Woods, Jimmy Stewart and Bob Hope on the same show. Also John Lennon and Yoko appeared on the show.

Glad I found this channel.didnt realize how much I missed this guy
I'm 70 year's old I remember Rodney Dangerfield could make me laugh out loud against my will everytime !!!
My sweetheart, dear Rodney. The funniest man ever.❤️RIP . WE still listen. Remembering comedy is an art 🎨 ✨️ 💖

RODNEY THE GREAT.
He was the greatest stand up comedian of all time! Never got any respect though 🤣
If he had gotten respect, he would’ve ran out of material!
For laughs, yes, he was the greatest stand-up. For intelligent, hard-hitting social and philosophical material, the greatest ever was George Carlin. Take a look at him if you don't believe me.
No, he actually was saying that he got at least some respect when he said "I don't get no respect", because of the double negative.
Yes!
My favorite one liner he did was “A lady asked me if I wanted super sex”, I said “Ill have the soup”
Definitely a real treasure! God bless you Rodney! Make the Lord laugh!
Thanks, Rodney. I needed a laugh today.
He has got to be on everyone's Mount Rushmore of comedians.. for me it's him, Richard Pryor, Eddie Murphy, and Robin Williams..all GOATs.
He's on mine, definitely. Norm, Bill Cosby (yes, I know he is a disgusting creep, but that doesn't take away his comedic genius), Rodney, and probably Steven Wright.
But yours is solid.
Rodney: “When I was born, The Doctor hit me.”
“The NURSE got in a few shots, too.”
Rodney: "When I was born, the Doctor told my mom: "I'm sorry, I tried to put him back in, but I failed"! (or words to that effect!)
They didn't break the mold,, the mold died laughing!!!!🤗🤗🤗😂😂😂
"Music" to my ears, such a great man in the comedy world!
One of the greatest of all time in my opinion
Clean comedy! Wow, so funny. He always had my respect.
He was hilarious

I wanna be single. Great Rodney.
Went all the way from Vegas to Ohio for this.
I think Rodney's earliest material is the best!
Rodney the best, an absolute RIOT!!!
Thank you for the video! ☺♥
First half of this bit is the old Rodney. Second half is the "No Respect" Rodney. Very cool clip!
He was nothing short of fantastic ❤
Rodney is simply too funny!!!!
I waited and I waited... and then at 3:47 he says, "I don't get no respect"
Legend.
He wrote all his own material, genius! Best ever with Jonathan Winters a close second
. . . No respect at all.
But a whole lot of love ❤️ We miss you, we’ll never forget you, thank you🙏🏻
great video. had never seen this one
Thanks for all the laughs Rodney.
Miss him .. thanks..one of the greatest. If not the…! Just miss him ..I’m old! Nobody like him. No Robin Williams, George Carlin ! Nothing sad
Carlin was beyond great. He's in a category of his own. He should be on Mount Rushmore!
@@wildbillharding yep 👍🏽

@@chha6439 I agree, he was the only one I enjoyed after the greats were gone. Cannot even watch late night tv anymore. 🙏
I hadn't heard Rodney tell some of these jokes before. Some pretty good ones in there.
ONE IN A BILLION….RD THE GREATEST stand up comedian ….E. V. E. R.
I never got to see or here Rodney Dangerfield much at all so i am glad i found his videos it amazes me me how he can keep from busting out laughing when he tells his one liners 😂

My dog hates me so much
When we sleep. If I snore, he pees in my mouth..... Then wants 50 bucks
When I walk my dog
When he poops
Me being a good owner,
I pick up after my dog
My dog tries to kick it in my face
I try to see all of his material and this was the first time I recall hearing this particular dog joke... hilarious and timeless
“I was an ugly baby. My parents put me in my sandbox to play, and the cat buried _me_!”
I always thought Rodney Dangerfield was one of the best comedians out there. He and Don Rickles were so funny that when you heard that either one was going to be a guest on Johnny Carson's Tonight Show you knew you were in store for a lot of laughs.
@John Osman
That was hilarious.
The Great Rodney Dangerfield. 😮
" I'll Always Love 💘you Hayden Panettiere "
Great 👍
The one man on this planet who in his whole life never got any respect he was an absolute genius
The “I can’t take it no more” kills me every time
She's an earth sign, I'm a water sign, together we make mud.
A brilliant artist😎
Laughing the entire time!!😂
Definitely one of the Founding Fathers.🤣😂🤣😂🤣👍🏾
T H E one and only...❤
My hero
I'll tell I was in rough shape last week but I'm alright now. My kids, NO RESPECT, I sez to my boy someday you'll have kids of your own. He said So will You, someday.🤪😁👌
Way different from how he was later. But you can tell he was going to be great.
Not his strongest set but it's 1969 on the Mike Douglas show.
Well considering who Mike Douglas was targeted to in midday and 1969 and on TV I'm sure Rodney had to tone it down.
@@hankkingsley9300 for sure
🙌
👏👏👏👏 Rodney! GOAT standup!
Rodney had very clean joke’s here. On Johnny Carson’s last year Rodney was killing it with dirty jokes
hero
Crazy to hear him say “I get no respect at all” and he was so new no one knew
After over half a Century, listening to him in 2022, his comedy never ceases to make me laugh!
He allows me to remember when the World seemed to be a simpler place!
A baby carriage with no breaks, now that's funny 😂 & you got my respect, rest in peace Rodney, the jokes live on, and we're still laughing 😂😂😂
Forever Funny 😂🤣
''I found out when I was born. They bought me a baby carriage with no breaks.'' 🤣
Rodney at his club *Dangerfields* in NYC: "Hey, whaddya say we bust up this joint? But not now. After the fire."
Forget Ali, Rodney is the greatest!
When I was born, I was so ugly the doctor slapped my mother instead of me!!!!

"...I got a kidney-shaped pool with a stone in it!...."
😂😂😂😂 the best!
They always lie about the mileage Lmmfbaooo. Facts
👍
The best comidians used their brains and never said the F word, today is the other way around only the F word and no brain Lol
Man, how old is he? I thought he was old when I was a kid
Ahead of his time in 1969.
We miss you every day Rodney
Alot of these jokes I never heard. The wife jokes he used all the time. He also didn't name Dr Vinny Boombatz
😂😂😂
This material is pretty tame
Well, give him a break, it is "The Mike Douglas Show" 🙄 1970ish
Daytime syndicated talk show in 1969.. whadya expect, a Vegas club act?
Rodney can change his jokes around to fit any audience
Rodney Dangerfield is the best!!! Rest In Peace my friend!!! 🙏
