Its all xboxs, nothing in particular causes the crash, its just 99% of the time you cannot play co-op for 20 minutes before crashing, then you have a 15% chance of being able to join back.. I think its the next gen update is what messed eveything up. Lots of people have deleted thousands of hour saves in attempt to fix this, and none have worked.
It's impossible to play co-op. I'm even get kicked out of singleplayer after getting kicked out of co-op. Never used mods either.
@@ironsabbath72it has to do with the trailers I think… played for like 5 hours straight no problems like 5 minutes after I hooked up a trailer it crashed, kept crashing periodically until I unhooked the trailer, I play single player no mods
@@2387tyboy I played Sunday and Monday with trailers no issues, last night crashed 3 times with no trailers, but I was doing the mission to tow the newer kirovets. I'm sure everyone on console has issues no matter what they're doing. I can't play multiplayer until they patch, the crashes are too much. Wish there was an easy fix!
Thanks for bringing this up. I and a few others kinda kicked up a lot of dust in the Discord about this. Mostly mad since I hadn't been able to play for around 5 months and wasting my little bit of extra holiday time wasted on constant crashes, troubleshooting, and loading screens. On top of that, I own all 3 season passes and cant even finish the base game maps to move on to that stuff yet. (I know I should have waited and bought dlc when I got to it, but it was on sale and I really enjoyed Michigan and Alaska) Asking around finding out this has been an issues for a while is disheartening and I most definitely won't be considering Expeditions tills this is fixed.
I've had the issue of the game crashing on me a bunch of times, and sending me back to the dashboard, and I absolutely hate it.
Classic “I bought 3 season passes before knowing if the game even works yet”. As long as people continue to do this, companies will not be fully motivated to get the bugs fixed

Played around in them a bit. Before 2023 holidays, I had 150hrs on completing first two areas, +1/3 of the third area, and driving around most of the dlc areas just to look too. I got the game with the first season. I 100% both previous games, spintires and mudrunner.
If I did buy the game and all the dlc at once before I knew I liked the game, yeah I would be dumb. I did refund season 3. I got hundreds of hours of enjoyment from these games and had no issues till recently. I also didn’t know of how bad the issues were till I started digging.

It was me that dragged the response out of the Saber rep. on Discord shown in the video. I'd had enough of the lack of clarity and communication from the devs on what is a quite frankly inexcusable issue.
A little communication would've gone a long way, but they've seriously dropped the ball and made me lose trust in them. I won't be buying Expeditions, nor am I buying any Snowrunner DLC until it has been fixed. An apology for the issues we've had to deal with would be nice, but I doubt it'll happen.

Back in the December they told me they were aware of the issues and were trying to fix it, but it's been almost 5 months now and nothing changed; all the while, of course, they keep releasing new content. I uninstalled the game, it's just been a waste of money and time
Finally, this has lasted long enough. I’ve almost uninstalled the game. It’s painful because it was my favorite game.
I have the Xbox series x and it took 45 minutes to do a 10 minute mission cause it keeps crashing
I play on the old gen Xbox One (Forza 6 edition). I would get Connection Lost and random kick outs to the Main Menu since Season 7. I found that playing without mods helped considerably with game stability. If we were using mods then limit it to 2 or 3 and only small ones (don’t try and use them to the RAM limit) and it is much better but still not perfect. Contacted Saber and was told it was my router settings (it wasn’t as they hadn’t changed and it was working fine previously). Great news if the upcoming patch fixes it as I’m not investing in Expeditions until they sort Snowrunner out as that doesn’t bode well for Expeditions.
OMG i made a comment about this saying he should adress how there hasnt been any work done for the incredibly bad state of the game on xbox and he actually made a video about it. thank you so much from the whole xbox community
They threatened to ban me from reporting issues because every time they release new content with not one single thing being fixed for Xbox series X I would report everything again to remind them.
That “known issues” list has had just the 2 Xbox crashes on it even though I’ve been reporting texture issues, video settings issue, steering bug that hard locks inward and throws you into the wall and game crashes all have been around since season 7/next gen release. Nothing gets added to that list for Xbox nor changes. 1 YEAR 8 MONTHS and NOTHING has been fixed not even the minor issues.
They have the worst customer service I’ve ever seen in my life.
I agree, Xbox issues are many and some are severe for anyone trying to enjoy the game and have a good time. But PC gaming isn't a panacea either. Altough single player gaming almost never have major issues, other than some trucks and scouts going insane mode, like the Rezvani or the Burlak, multiplayer (co-op) online gaming can be a pain in the behind, gaming freezing, connection issues, lag, disconnections, etc.
Lets hope they keep working on all platforms stability, and not only single player, but co-op too.
And when are we going to get an official roof rack (with repair, tires and refuel) for the Azov 73210? Many trucks similar to this one have gotten it, I really don't see much of a harm with giving it to the Azov too. In fact the Azov 64131could also get one, along with active suspension for bigger wheels? Dreams cost nothing, for now at least 🙂

Thanks for the update, and all that you do for the SR community. The term hero gets thrown around a lot, but in this case is well deserving. I also noticed that when I upgraded to the series X, that a lot of the easter egg critters stopped showing up. Did anyone else notice this?
Now that you mention it, I have not noticed any of the critters either.
I haven't spotted a single critter. I just assumed they got spooked by my trucks

The base game is currently on sale for 50% off on Xbox. It comes bundled with year 1,2, and 3. I've been wanting to buy it, but if it's gonna keep crashing then, I'll wait till they fix it. I have a disc version, and it crashes constantly. Usually I'll just be crawling through mud, winching along and it crashes.
I'll not put any coin in this or any other of the runner series until the game gets a fix on xbox.
It is quite convenient to release this note on the eve of the launch of the new game. The truth is one thing, they are afraid of the game failing in sales on the Xbox.
My only issue with crashing is when my controller dies it dashboards. I have no idea why. I've never downloaded a single mod
Xbox series x. Game pass downloaded local save on system onboard harddrive. Unmodded.
Could consistently force a crash in Drowned Lands by looking at the treeline near the central repair station. Anything other than birdseye view of the truck causes a consistent dashboard.
One was bad enough to crash the entire console that was unresponsive for 10 minutes.
There was a graphical glitch where everything other than text on screen was pure black.
Can be 5 mins can be an hour no crashes.
I think I have had ONE session in the last 6 months that has not had at least one crash.
It's sad that I've learned to force save by exit to main menu and then continuing because it's just SO unstable.
Overloading my Mastodon - game crashed as did my access to the DLC so that was paid DLC down the drain. Support response was to play modded and download a money mod to buy it back.
After every crash the video settings are re-set to On On FidelityFX FOV80 however the view is actually showing 130.
I change back to no no off 130 save and the view stays at 130 and I hope for the best.
It's a mess.
I WANT the year 3 pass but there is no way I'm paying more for this experience.
It’s a save issue.. if you exit to main menu then back in its stops it.. when you don’t see the save icon in a bit exit and will start saving again
I've noticed that for mine. It will happen at certain places on any map where a save would be triggered. Seems to be a crap shoot if it kicks me to the dashboard or decides to save. Interestingly I've found that driving in low or low+ instead of high or auto at those spots gives me a better chance of not crashing. Allows the game to render at a slower rate possibly? 🤔
But for whatever reason, anytime I go first person it'll boot me within 30 seconds no matter where I'm at.
Yeah drive just a bit and exit to main menu then continue.. seams to work for me
5 months later and my friend and I can't connect. Constant "Connection Lost" errors and once my game completely crashed while trying to load.

I tried to catch up on Season 10 a few weeks ago on Steam (PC) and at some point it started crashing.
Sometimes after a few minutes, sometimes after an hour. It's unplayable at this point because the progression is always lost.
Repairing or reinstalling doesn't helped, haven't changed anything on my setup. Filed a bug report and since then it's the radio silence you mentioned. 😅
Hopefully I can play it again before Year 4 comes out.
And I really hope the fix the save/stuttering at some point!
Been co-oping a lot with a buddy on Xbox series (he tried both, S and X, no difference).
About 50% of the time he gets a "connection lost" error message and crashes to the game menu, other 50% he crashes to Xbox home screen. Between 25 and 50% of the time he is able to re join the session, other 50-75% I need to open a new one.
We also have a lot of sync issues and they seem to be related to the crashes (the more sync issues there are, the more his game crashes). Sync issues are:
Him being somewhere else than he is shown on my map, sometimes he is right next to me and can also interact with me (e.g. ram me) but I cannot see him and on my map he is shown somewhere else entirely. When switching trucks we sometimes have the issue that tires are caught under the ground (but just for one of us), random objects like street signs are stuck in the middle of the truck cabin and suddenly the truck flies around (also just for one of us), we had trailers and cargo flying around and being stuck somewhere high up in the sky a lot and he is quite often able to use the refueling bug (he just moves fuel between two different tanks and when transferring the last liter, sometimes the tank suddenly gets refilled. However: sometimes both end up empty, too) and he is consistently able to deliver 2-3 cargos for each actual cargo that he has on his truck.
I first played Snowrunner on my Xbox one, and then on my Xbox series X, and I have all three season passes, and I have never experienced these issues a lot of you have been talking about. I didn’t even know there were big issues on the Xbox platforms. I have been able to play just fine, the only thing I’ve noticed is there’s more late screen pop ins and trees sometimes have the “potato” graphics until you get close to them on my Xbox series x. The Xbox one version did seem to run a tiny bit better. So besides the late pop ins and horrible looking trees on occasion, it still ran just fine and I could play for a few hours and no crashes. Am I the really lucky one then?
I may be messed up on a couple. But these are some of the issues there's maybe more on snow runner. 1 ( Unable to establish connection with the host

16 ) And to lock up down a vehicle it doesn't work with the Has an extra tire The one that has the hydraulics. Especially when the vehicle is broken And you can't get in
17 ) When you're on the Crane sometimes the circle doesn't pop up. It sometimes doesn't work when you try to use the crane

Series X and One X user here. I've seen no problems with the game on my part, with either system. And I'm playing Snowrunner thru Gamepass.

I have a little hot tip for anybody who is having issues with the multiplayer not working at all, try starting a new game. Once you get to the first garage you should be able to join a multiplayer game. Mine was working fine until I got some DLC and then it did not work anymore. After that, started a new game, boom it works again
What upsets me is not being able to refuel ur truck on Xbox coop u have to have the host hop in ur truck and refuel it for u to remedy it

I finally got my lady to get into this game. Now we can't even play due to crashes and other bugs
I have constant crashes some so bad that it gives me a purple and pink screen does a hard reset then turns back on. Just to not be able to connect to my internet. I’ve tried all the options on the internet I can find besides my saves. No way I’m losing years of progress. I now play the game by avoiding certain areas on the map where I have crashes. Example my worst crashes was from trying to do the boat mission from session 10. Even while trying to avoid the areas i still will eventually crash.
Myself and my friends are able to play the Amur map on the Xbox Series X without crashing, well some days are better than others.
We disabled all the mods, and we only use the hosts trucks.
I crash to dash within minutes. I'm on Series X. Thought it was the BC map and attached trailer at first. I uninstalled/installed once and still crashed. Uninstalled/installed again, base map still crashed 😢
I’m currently playing on my MacBook Pro with the resolution turned down to almost 1080p. Even that is better than my console experience on the PS4. I know it’s an old console but the visuals on the PC/Mac version just blew me away.
I recently changed to a new Xbox series X and the game ran smoothly and I started off by playing Wisconsun map, and all of a sudden started crashing, then it became more frequent (seemingly when I used a fully loaded 8x slot trailer or a fully loaded 4x slot truck) . The worst crash happened when my screen froze, looked like a computer from the 90s and then my entire xbox shut off. Despite the crashing I completed the Wisconsun map and moved to the one with the Cosmodrome, then crashing would only happen after about 3 hours of playing. About 4 or 5 days ago the game stopped crashing completely and Auto Saves seemed to become more common (Few auto saves might have been the source of the issue). I'm glad the issue seems to have been fixed on my end and can enjoy snowrunner without being afraid of a crash and losing progress.
I found that on my xbox series s is if im crashing consistently, it means i need to change maps. Not reload but play on a different map for a while.
Mine crashes back to the dashboard when I hit deep mud, deep water or shallow water at hi speed I deleted all mods thinking it was a mod un installed whole game and reinstalled but still happens black screen or just dash board
Xbox One, no issues. Got X, downloaded SR, "continued' where I left off from the One and it crashes bad. Started a new game, it crashed once but not since. I have played about 6 hours and it has yet to crash...
Co-op is the main crashing problem.

As a veteran Bethesda consumer, I did not realize this was not normal. I have a series x and I have a variety of issues from mods not working at all to completely random crashes to dashboard without warning. It is noticeably more stable than it was on my Xbox one, but so are most things
For me the fix they did to coop seemed to work was able to play my series x with randos and friends alike cross plat and not. Then whatever this bug is happened and I cannot even play single player with getting dashboarded. Can't really find a reason it happens I don't use mods. Tried driving slow, different trucks,new path. Using a different map didn't help either feels like I'm rolling dice to see how long my game runs.
The off roader: Hood and fenders look like a Defender 90, but I don't recognize that vent on the hood and I think that sensor thing in the middle of the defrost vents is too new for a Defender 90. Can't think of anything else that looks like that, so I'll guess Defender 90.
Im on series x and it just boots me back to the dashboard regularly. I had it on xbox one aswell and never had a problem on that. Stopped playing it now....

I noticed similar issues around the same time with Xbox issues with Dayz and he’ll let loose, yet not for playstation

I'm in Russia I'm headed toward the Quarry with logs I turn left on one of the roads screen starts to bug a little bit and then crashes it's done at about 5 or 6 times now
Does it still crash for everyone about 5 minutes in any news on when the update goes Live for Xbox players or update in general
I only have problems when I do co op other than that never had issues in single player, been playin since late 2020, Xbox1S here
If you like me and love to have variety of scouts and set up own adventures and roleplay in multiplayer you cannot delete the trailers or anything right so when in solo and you get all the trailers and the cargo off the map and delete when done it should help with frame rate in multiplayer
I don"t know that I`ve come across any stability issues in singleplayer (haven`t played that regularly since sell before season 7), but I know that for the longest time now multi-player has been a pain to get to work, with frequent drop outs, and entering a game is a crapshoot, with several attempts to connect being a common requirement, and half the time the game just refuses to connect. Turning cross play seems to help a bit, but the Issue is still vary much present regardless
I would have problems on my Xbox x using my favorite mod trucks I would get to a certain spot in the map and it would crash back to the dashboard. I uninstalled the game deleted all the mods that I was using and then tried redownloading the mods that were still there they were actually updated mods that I wasn't using and now it runs good so far
Many times I barely out the garage parking lot before crashing. FOR ME, it seems many mods are causing the crash. When I uninstall certain mods, no crash, when I reinstall again, crash to the max. Some crashes sent me to dashboard, some crashes froze the whole Xbox, some crashes somehow shut the Xbox completely down. Few crashes have had graphical purple/pink screen glitchiness right before freezing. Since uninstalling many apparent unreliable mods, I’ve had only one crash. What’s weird is, some of the mods I’ve previously used with no issue. Could it be something in an update coding that’s making the mods not speak the proper language anymore?

Ok guys. I think i may be onto something. On series x mine was crashing constantly over and over. After doing some debugging myself i found disabling fidelity fx and motion blur as well as leaving fov unchanged from default i was able to play flawlessly.. i don't do online so not sure if this helps that issue but i did contact sabre with my findings and hopefully they will get this issue resolved.
The FIDELITY filter may be the solution, if you are an Xbox user try disabling it in the video options 😎✌️
I thought the same and felt like I fixed it after playing for a few hours crash free. Played again yesterday and it was right back to crashing.
not just xbox i play on switch and it sometimes closes randomly might be something to do with cross play i remember the first time i played it never crashed and played for 6 hours on co-op
Single player, Xbox series x, no mods installed or used. At anytime when driving with it without cargo the game crashes to dashboard
No problems with single player on my PS5 but haven't tried multiplayer.
Before I got into snowrunner I got a series x and I had a lot of crashes In around 1k gameplay hours. Mostly seemingly random not intensive times. I haven’t played in a long while now, but I do remember losing a shitload if save data from the crashes or random other issues. I’d say I’d lost around 50-60 hours of time from lost saves
I can play on my Xbox 1 X all day by myself but trying to play with someone even with the same mods we can't play together
Mine crashes occasionally. Some times multiple times in one session, sometimes not at all. And its a hard crash backbto the Xbox home screen on Series X

Every 10 min Dashboard Crashes on my series x. Deleted all mods an reinstall the Game but it diddnt worked.
Series X player here. I've been dealing with the freeze/bounce to dashboard thing.
The game will crash when attempting to tow any of the large mission trailers. All maps with these trailers are affected. The saving cogs do not appear again after attaching the trailer and it's only about a minute before the game reboots.
Sometimes I'll notice a lack of saving cogs. If they fail to appear every 5 minutes, a crash is imminent.
The Heavy class trucks are so heavy they are bending and/or tearing a hole in the Snowrunner spacetime continuum. The sky opens to a black abyss and off you go to the dashboard.
In one instance, at night, there were flashing red and blue lights, like there was a police car there, in a swamp right before the game crashed.
I could go on...
I had that exact same crash with the weird red lights. I picked up cargo, and all of a sudden as I was passing through deep mud, a big wide radius of red light was surrounding my truck. I thought I activated some weird beacon that I wasn’t aware of. Nope, just the game glitching and about to crash me.
Xbox X. Crashes to homescreen if I go to certain parts of the maps. There's sometimes a flicker in the background but not always. Utterly disgusted at Sabre's complete lack of customer support or haste to address the issue. Doubt I will be buying expeditions let alone another season pass after this. Brilliant game ruined.

I'm still on the original Xbox 1 and (knock on wood) I haven't had any issues with crashing. I've had the game for 4 months and had it crash once I think.
Somebody should tell the girl in the thumbnail her controller is wrong way around.
She's so good she doesn't need to hold it the conventional way.
Can’t play season 12 even though it’s downloaded
I have a physical copy of the game (yes with the famous Western Star Twin steer on the cover, instead of the Freightliner) and also i have Game Pass as well.
(All DLCs are installed)
As the game is available on Game Pass I haven't used the disc for 2 years to play the game. (I got the physical copy before i got Game Pass).
As soon as my crashes started i simply put my console into offline mode and use the disc to play the game and i have no crashes at all.
Working fine on my Xbox One X (4k off) and my Xbox Series X (4k on) as well.
I know this is not an option for those who like to play it multiplayer, but myself as a solo player didn't bother me.
As soon as i play with my consoles online the crashes happen at very random times. Sometimes i go without a problem for 5 days (i even keep the game on quick access on Series X), but sometimes it just crashes every 2-3-4-5 minutes.
Completely unpredictable.
I moved to ps5 due to the update, the way they made the ps4 pro cope with the unnecessary graphics update was crank the fan beyond max.
I hope the Xbox gamers get this fixed asap
(XSX) Legit crashed twice within 10min this morn. Really want to play but maybe 1 out of 5 times it will play fine. Got me thinking it was on my end (still might be) as I am a prolific Xbox gamer. At this point I'm 2 seasons behind because it is very frustrating to crash so much. I noticed it crashed more after it was released on gamepass, Don't know if that had something to do with it.
1692hrs on this game, although a few of those hours were waiting on a autosave because I was worried about a crash.

Well, i dont know, but it runs very good on my SeriesX. A Crash every two or three Sessions, but ok so far. Only the Coop Mode with my Son (PC and XBox) is nearly imposible because of connection losts.
But we only use a Handfull of Mods :)
If they think I’m buying the new game they are fucking wrong. Why would I support a company that refuses or just physically can’t fix the fucking crashing on Xbox. Im all set

Oh great so they haven't REALLY made any serious progress..
Sorry but it won't be improved that much. It's just the games core coding not working together correctly.
Basically the game is broken on a fundamental level.
I don't believe there's anything they physically can do about it.
We shall see tomorrow when Season 12 arrives, hopefully things improve.
l play snowrunner on my Xbox one and l have no problems and l ues some really big mods
It depends on the day for me. Some days it’s maybe every hour and then it stops after 2 and you can play along time with it crashing. Other days ( pretty much recently for the last week). I can’t play 10 minutes in co-op without it crashing making it impossible to do anything helpful in the game. Moved over to ps5 from the series x and the game runs super smoothly no crash problems on ps5. I don’t understand why it’s happening. It’s super frustrating seeing I have 42 days played on Xbox and have to start over cause of stability issues. I will not be buying the new game until this is fixed. The devs need to keep there community happy and they haven’t done anything so far to do that
Might I add to I used to play on Xbox one and never ever had this issue. Switched over to Xbox series x and the game is sometimes unplayable ( all the time).
Xbox Series S. Will crash in a game randomly - goes back to Xbox home. You have to then load up, it puts you in Michigan and message comes up saying something like "New content found, go back to main menu to load". So exit to main menu, then go back in to game, where it loads in to Michigan, but can then pick up where you left off, although it takes you back to when it last saved, usually before you made it up the tricky muddy section....
Also co-op, will just kick you out, then not allow you to connect again.
I don't run mods or anything, just vanilla game with all year passes.
