I'm really happy that Xbox players get to play the GOTY. With over 500hrs of BG3 on PS5, I'd say have fun Xbox players. Except you're probably too busy having fun to read this.

It's easy to loot and see everything! You just hold a and the radial thingy appears and you just select whatever you want in the radius. I didn't notice that at first!
I play this on quality mode as I do most single player games…. This way I can play with Dolby vision which looks amazing in my Sony panel. I’m glad you are enjoying this on the series X. I play on the Series X too.
I've had 3 bugs in 107 hours playtime so far that I can think of 😊. only one of the bugs caused me to reload a save. I got stuck in a " end turn " loop😂. was on a fight a little after lastlight inn where you fight a bunch of plant monsters on your way to find that Forrest spirit boys other half.
I think that I'm almost done with Act 1. At level 5 and just have the hag fight left. (I think.) One bug that's come up sometimes is when loading a game it'll throw me back to home and I have to reload. No big deal. The other bug only happened once. At the start of a fight none of my characters were able to move. They could jump though, and after jumping they were able to move. It was in the goblin camp and there were no spells or environmental conditions causing it. Also not a big deal. Happy that I waited for it on Xbox instead of buying a PC. Once I get a better hang of using the controller I'll be even happier.
The controller works REALLY good with this game. Very happy with the UI in particular. And the camera/movement controls are WAY better than on mouse/keyboard.

I'm guessing that to play with others it would be required, but I'm wanting to use my save from the PS5 and don't use my xbox enough to maintain the multilayer account. Cross saves are through Larian's account network AFAIK, so assuming you've got your games cloud saving to Larian's servers via your account with them, they should carry over.
A gold coin has the weight of 0.1 in the game. So you should pick up everything that is has a minimum worth of 10 gold per 1 weight. Same as in every Elder Scrolls game. So paintings are very valuable for an example. And who doesn't want to collect the 6 easter egg paintings from Divinity original sin 2? Books, camp cloths etc. are also worth allot of cash. you should pick up so you can afford to buy allot of good stuff when you get to the city. But yea you don't have to loot everything. In my first playthrough I had over 60.000 gold left when I finished the game after sold all junk I came over. But I also played as a Bard with high charisma that had 98% discount on everything from everyone.
yeah I never worried about looting in my first playthrough and never found myself unable to purchase the things I wanted, even with my druid who had crap charisma =P But I also didn't go out of my way to try to purchase items from vendors

I bought this game because I love the way it looks. I just started playing it and finding it very frustrating to the point that I don't find it fun at all. It's so complicated on Xbox and I'm playing as a mage so I can't really figure out all the spells and what to do it's so confusing.
If your interested you can increase the pressor redounded to increase form a quad to 8 assuming you have increase your ram to 16 gig's. let me know and it is an easy process.

I have Game Pass Ultimate, which is like 17 bucks a month and you get access to games on the PC and the Xbox. LOTS of older game, plus plenty of new games and Xbox / PC exclusives. They also have an Xbox Game Pass version for JUST the Xbox which is much cheaper; same thing. Plus you get discounts on non-exclusives. Totally worth it. The library alone has like 100+ games in it. Just Google it and you'll see.
I would recommend making another video if you manage to actually make it to ACT II without experiencing the “deleted save” bug, on Reddit there’s hundreds of threads of Xbox players losing all progress after entering ACT II.

This one of a very few games that I like so much that I'm considering getting it for ps5 even though I'm playing on a high end pc. At least on the ps5 I'll get to play on a big 60 inch 4k tv.
I have a question. How do you get your character or party member into an "overwatch" type position. I'm not sure what it's called in BG3, but it's when your character automatically attacks, as soon as someone (or something) enters the view of the character. I've seen it done on PC, but I'm on a Xbox Series X. I've looked everywhere but can't find an answer. Thank you in advance.

What has been your experience with crashes? I've had quite a few on my series x, but what that taught me to do was save often 😅 Loving the game though, just finished act 2 and am currently camped just outside the city.
@LAR9375 yeah I wasn't using quick resume, I noticed early on that it was causing an issue. I was getting frequent crashes though still. Larian pushed an update out for it today (21gb massive one), I had a look through the patch notes and xbox crashes were one of the main things this aims to fix. You and renfail must have been in the lucky minority who didn't experience any.
I had it on pc and recently got it on series x. Runs great and the controls are fantastic for console. I can’t wait for them to implement cross play and cross progression.
Does anyone else have no sound when launching the game? It kicks in after about 30 seconds but when I start a new game and get into character creation there’s about a 10 second delay before I get sound.

i refunded it for the time being on the series i had 5 hard crashes and every character i made had a weird Sound Bug where i heard screams so the ambient sounds from the Temple of Bhaal are now the ambient sounds in the grove in the Goblin camp and was never able to fix it :( and if i heard ypur game right it seems you have the Sound Bug too ^^
Why would I show the game in my review when I have over 400 videos in the playlist and I've been streaming and playing the game for months on end? Do your due diligence.
Sorry dude, i'm having those issues too, so those reports are unfortumately no fake news. A few days ago i've bought the game on my X-box X series and everything was alright and the game started and played flawless. But since yesterday the issue started. The first time it needed about 10 restarts until i got the black screen fixed. But now it got worse and i'm unable to run the game anymore. Because of this, i really can't recommend this game to anyone at this state, especially when it costs 69,99€. Sorry, but that has to be mentioned and I'm really tired of game studios bringing games on the market, buggy and unfinished, that you have to load tons of patches to get the game running somewhere in time. I think they had enough time to test the game thoroughley.
UPDATE: I'm glad that i could fix the black screen problem. It haven't been the fault of the game. Instead it must have been a hardware problem and after pressing 10 seconds on the X-Box button on the system, to fully turn off the console, the issue have been fixed. Kind of strange, because i haven't done something, to give a cause that issue appeared.

I have to agree with Renfail even though I played it on PS5. This game plays really well with a controller especially compared to older CRPG

They controller is awesome. I played my PC version with controller as well as I preferred it to the mouse and keyboard.

You haven't seen it done on PC. You can set that up in Solasta, but not in BG3.

No issues. Just save and quit, and don't use quick resume. It is necessary anyway to keep your saves synced with steam.

You can actually use pouches and containers which I find really helps.
You can; I simply choose to use the filters and it solves all my problems. I'm also selective in what I loot!
I think you won’t see arrows in the radial dials if you put them in backpacks. One thing to watch for.

You can't use custom options unless you start a new game with Custom Mode turned on.
