I feel the same about the happy and sad vibe, but the order is kind of inversed for me. To me it sounds like Kikuo is finding happiness in something sad, rather than sadness in something happy (possibly a good life metaphor).
To me, it's like a state of melancholic depression in which you wanna stay and never leave. Despite being sad, you feel "safe" and happy, cuz you know there is no better thing out there for you.

In return, the girl accepts going to hell and receiving the punishment for killing him.Also, it seems like it's a scheme by both of them, and the guy is p much happy to be dying like that(""Thank you", you whispered, and then died") which is also why the song is called "a happy death". It makes sense with the lines that say "if my sins are cleared, lets meet there(in heaven)" as the girl hopes to meet the guy in the afterlife after she comes back from hell to meet him in heaven. This continues until one attains enlightenment and becomes a Buddha. (This is a very brief summary to explain those lyrics)
This song feels like when you’re finally at the end of your suffering and get to feel some peace and feel more calm but yet there’s a thought that lingers at the back of your head making you regret everything you’ve done

A couple hoping they can meet in heaven, but then realizing that their fantasy of heaven doesn't exist. I have an another world in my mind and there, my gender and so many things are opposite from this world. I actually have so many worlds in my brain but the main one is the toughest one. Michael K You’re confusing that with “Tengoku E Ikou!” (“Let’s Go To Heaven!”) in this one, Koufuku Na Shi Wo (“The Most Happiest Death” or “A Happy Death”) the speaker is strangled by their lover, however the speaker (in this case, Miku) doesn’t mind if she goes to hell (“If I go to hell, then all of my worries shall wash away”) or heaven (“If I go to Heaven, would the angels allow me to be with you?”) as long as her lover is with her, until Miku’s lover dies a happy death, she is waiting for them (possibly between heaven and hell AKA purgatory) so they can be together once more.
@@pennynoir7774 Well, I think that he is not wrong though. The song can be seen from two perspectives as well, one from the person strangling the other, and one from the person being strangled. Though one of the two is killing the other, it can be assumed that the murderer is also going to commit suicide afterwards, since they are both thinking about whether they will go to heaven or hell. So yes, maybe they are dying together, and the one getting strangled is getting the happy death.
I personally like the interpretation that the 2 characters are the same person. The 2 children serve as representations of a conversation taking place inside someone's head; One side wants to relieve itself of it's suffering in any way it can - so when it is killed, it is relieved. The other feels as though in death it is condemned; that it cannot rest peacefully, for it isn't *deserving* of a "happy death" - but it also believes that in denying it's death, it is condemned to anguish in the other sides suffering. To me this sounds like someone who is contemplating taking their own life. The first side represents their selfishness, and the other their self loathing
I really love Kikuo's songs, especially the ones that have so much emotion like this, yet it hurts to listen to because it's so sad :( even if they are bitter-sweet.
kikuos songs is like trying to de-tense yourself after developing in survival mode, and wanting to be free and let go, but its built into the code of your body, so its the closest to feeling calm.
I used to listen to this when I was a kid now I'm an adult and I still love this song. It brings back so much memories but I feel like it brings up so much more pain because of who I am now compared to then. 元から好きだったこの曲が更に好きになり思い出して泣いてしまいます。kikuolandは本当に最高の空間でした。

I personally like the interpretation that the 2 characters are the same person. The 2 children serve as representations of a conversation taking place inside someone's head; One side wants to relieve itself of it's suffering in any way it can - so when it is killed, it is relieved. The other feels as though in death it is condemned; that it cannot rest peacefully, for it isn't *deserving* of a "happy death" - but it also believes that in denying it's death, it is condemned to anguish in the other sides suffering. To me this sounds like someone who is contemplating taking their own life. The first side represents their selfishness, and the other their self loathing

I used to listen to this when I was a kid now I'm an adult and I still love this song. It brings back so much memories but I feel like it brings up so much more pain because of who I am now compared to then. Tbh these days when I listen to this song I think about my past self thanking me for dying and becoming someone else... They're in their heaven and I'm in my current hell.
