I swapped out wandering spirits for transplant and I am generating 20k ward but it was dropping off in about 20 seconds (400 ward retention) - stable at 3k ward. The issue is you have the 20k ward immediately after killing a pack and then by the time you reach the next pack you are close to your stable ward again. I had a couple of deaths where I was trying to group up mobs and my ward ran out before I finished the combo. I have tweaked my passive tree, gear and idols to boost my ward retention to about 530 and that is lasting about 30s and stable at 5k ward. That was last night so I haven't had a chance to play with the adjustments yet. I had to sacrifice some damage for that but I was insta-killing most mobs anyway. If that doesn't work then I will be swapping over to the wandering spirits + fissure as a traversal version since in the clip at the end of the video Curse looks like he is maintaining 10k+ ward.
I am having a lot of fun with this build. Mainly for monolith pushing and not bossing. Why not bossing? I am using a PS5 controller and managing the direction of the chthonic fissure and then rapidly moving into protection mode for T4 Julra (with all the combo trigger/button pushes) while precisely managing my location is all a bother. LOL. I need to build a little more strength so she dies in just on time switch cycle. On the other hand, my very tanky werebear can take a while but is never in danger of dying to a boss. Even if it cannot clear more than 300 corruption monos with speed.
UGH SO right about the Vaion's... I got a 1 lp slammed with movement speed and im struggling to keep crit avoidance... missed all my crit avoidance slams on gloves/belt so I'm just using a t6 exalted ring and the blessing but dang would I like to swap that ring out for something more juicy...

So how much ward can i normally build if i am in merchants guild and everything costs ridiculous gold because all 2 or 2 legendary potential i can't afford or legendary that is huge gold spike when going for items that are already crafted through julra, which is pain for low gear/ward if u want to craft your own.
5/5 Chaotic Strikes is highly recommended for Torment. I know it doesn't make sense - just try for yourself Edit: Suggestion: spend the last 2 points in Wandering Spirits in Infusing Souls. Then you can unspec Soul Stealer and put those 5 points into Spiteful Decay.
The build is good, but it feel substantially weaker with Ladle vs. Wheel of Torment. Have you tried that? Wheel of Torment provides much smoother mapping with the higher base spell damage and increases to acolyte skill levels.

I've now encountered the bug with too much cast speed on Spirit Plague. If you look closely, not only are we not getting Pestilence stacks - the skill itself does not fire off. It looks like the skill's animation needs to complete for it to actually be cast, and the cast speed makes it interrupt itself. So we are also not applying our Ladle debuffs which will fall off, having -1 curse on the target and probably more. The only thing we are actually achieving by using the skill is igniting ourselves and the skill will cast 1 time when we stop spamming. With all this said, do you think it's worth it to cut down on cast speed to where it works or self igniting as fast as possible is the only thing that matters?
i was wondering the exact same thing as iv noticed curse still has spec'd into pestilence even after saying its bugged. makes me think he doesnt care about the pestilence dmg or spirit plagues dmg at all as a mattter of fact. only using it to ignite yourself and the rest is done from fissure+spirits. Wondering why he didnt just not take points in pestilence and put it elsewhere. Seems anything above 40 cast speed messes it up, so im wondering if we take out points from the warlock tree for the cast speed or what? not sure myself what direction to go. Should lower my cast speed or do i just not spec into pestilence as it doesnt work and use the high cast speed to stack ignite asap instead?
@@adamgangat I've pondered it, we do manage to cast the skill once at the end for the +1 curse, the Ladle debuffs get applied by Fissure (and Veil?) so maybe it's fine. What we lose out on stacking debuffs like Armor Shred and Frailty and the Pestilence % DoT, the last one being quite a lot of damage. We stack the ignite slower but still fast enough to reach 40 stacks before they start to fall off (whereas with cast speed you can reach around 60 for reference)
you can just reduce your cast speed and it works fine. around 70-75% and you can stack it up. you will also have to drop some passives too like accursed seer which gives cast speed to curses and also the cast speed within the tree itself. the problem then is that it feels kinda way too slow to self ignite to 40 stacks. you are taking almost twice as long to get there when you have removed all of the relevant points personally it feels better to just run as much cast speed as possible to make the build rotation feel and play smoother. faster cursing is faster self ignite and fast cooldown proc for profane veil. the dmg already feels ok with the build so i would rather some quality of life
@@dopemind8160sadly no. I switched back to detonating arrow on my marksman. The warlock with ward is great for higher corruption but its not my prefered playstyle. Just so slow. Maybe i will lock into the ward necro from Raxx
Yo, the thing is, spirit plague doesn't even apply because of the attack speed. it's not pestilence that is bugged, its the spell itself. Because of the high attack speed, spirit plague won't apply because you continue to re-apply the curse and ending up interuppting yourself due to the attack speed
I am still rocking this build, do you think theres a way to make use of the fire spell damage you get from the belt aswell? Without making torment lose damage. I am currently trying to add some bleed/ignite chance to get some fire damage over time. But unless chthtonic fissure apply ignite stacks through the 4/4 node the spell damage added from the belt wont apply yes?
hey great guide, but i dont fully understand the "spirit reveald" thing. does that mean they have to spawn inside the bubble ? or do i have to run arround in the bubble to "catch" them for the ward ?
Since you are testing alot of different warlock builds, have you tested one with pyre of affliction+immolators oblation combo? I'm not at the point yet with my warlock to test it, but I imagine with warlock and chaos bolts it could be quite nice.

I’m leveling a fresh warlock so obviously I am missing some stuff. I do have the uniques but I’m missing the skill levels. I took the 4 mentioned out of profane veil dropped spirits for transplant. Having transplant I was able save the 2 points reaching movement with chaotic fissure. Here’s the question. I’m getting bone armor from transplant so it made sense to me to move the bone armor points out of bone curse and change bone curse to necrotic to make use of the necrotic points we have in the passives. Is that a decent adaptation of your build?
Does the Eradication node in the Cthonic Fissure tree apply to the torment from the spirits or only the fissure damage. I ask because the "Grim Tide" node in the same tree specifies "Cthonic Fissure and ailments it inflicts". If it doesn't would those 2 points even be worth it in a torment based build? Also is Spirit gale still bugged?

Hi Curse, may I ask why isn't it better to use Marinas lost soul instead of Mad alchemists ladle when you have the option to add damned to self ignite and increase your necr. pen? You get the bonus from self ignite and damned. Sorry for my English, hope the question is understandable. You have great videos
The necro pen only applies to hungering soul's possess ailment. Ladle adds ~50% more damage (at 8 ailment stacks) so you can translate that to 120 spell damage on top of the 240 spell damage from the belt. And then it will add a bunch more spell damage if you count your other sources of flat spell. Let's imagine that is ~150 spell damage roughly. No other wand gives you 150 spell damage.
Are u sure that u need that extra cast speed from the laddle? I feel confident enough without it and currently using just an exalted profane wand... I would also go for auto bonkers + forked tongue instead of just area buff.
I find the fear on Wandering Spirits to give just enough time to cast curses and reposition without getting meleed by enemies. I really like it for a small layer of defensiveness.
what is the reason to put 8 points to Doom Herald? If you don't use gostflame you don't have any channeling skills or I'm bugging? Or it benefits veil? I take those 8 points and put into a defensives

11k decaying ward is nothing. First you need to be aware how long it till CD to cast your rotation and you basically need more minion hp to get more ward. But again I think from the patch it's not worth scaling minion hp, you give your prefix on all items, intead of damage you get weird rota... you kinda want to automate ward generation imo.
@@divinityai i was getting 6-7k right after the fix, 11k is the best i can do right now. As for rotation, i dont think it matters, since in some situations the wards are gone in 2-3 sec lol
@@raymondwang6272 you need at least 1k minion health for it to feel ok imo. that will give around 15k ward, then if you rotate on cooldown you can get up to around 22-25k. but the problem is you are sitting in a profane veil rotation constantly which drastically slows down mono speed. if you can hit minion health on every gear then you would be looking at 30k ward which will feel really nice. the problem is that it is kinda hard to get that gear on CoF and for me it isn't worth the time. i'd rather play a faster build like runemaster that can maintain 25k+ ward, deal 10x dps and be a lot quicker through monos
The affix 6% more spell damage per negative ailment (max 8). Since warlock spits out so many negative ailments including curses, you have 48% damage multiplier. Not to mention the other benefits the weapon has.
Just use the generic one generated from build planner, then tweak it as needed. Whatever he's using currently is most likely going to be way too strict towards what you need, especially if you weren't already stacking minion health beforehand
Need an advice here. Playing this build, but can’t get 40 stacks of ignite on myself. Cast speed 105%. Auto clicking spirit plague, but still 34-35 stacks only? What could be the reason?
Yo i just started playing this game and i am following your build and its really nice but i dont understand one thing..u keep saying i need to get items with minions health..but how do u summon them if ur guide doesnt say anything about putting skill points into minions??am i missing something?
When you cast Bone Curse you get these "prison segments" with 3000 HP. Minion Health raises that LP higher. When you cast Profane Veil you "consume" the prison segments who count as minions and translate 4% of their HP into your ward. So the higher you the minion health stat, the more ward you consume out of the bone prison segments.
It's a tradeoff. 55% additional necrotic res is ~18 ward per second from the helm, ~33 ward per spirit eaten from Profane Veil-Seance, and ~5% more dmg from Chthonic Fissure-Twisted Waves when you have up to 1k% necrotic res in gg gear. The lower your necrotic res is, the more % damage you'll get from 55% additional necrotic res. Contrast that with up to 120% additional resists spread across your other resists granting you 12-20% dmg reduction if not overcapped. If your resists are overcapped, you'll get less value from the 20% all res.
I came from Mattjestic MultiGaming chanel to say hell. I will try WL for user. It is better than RM saprks or on the same lvl of power and tankines lets say ?
I would start using torment as early as possible. You just skip the belt+glove+spiritplague interaction until you have that full combo. And use a different wand until you get that combo online.
This is a great build. Sadly the way the game seldom gives me what I want is getting super annoying and burning me out. Man, if this game just was more generous by a few percentage of drop would be way better.

Is there any build variant for this to include a mobility spell such as Transplant? The teleport from Cthonic Fissure doesn’t feel too great imo
I think you can drop Bone Curse, but that's gonna hurt the shield and the damage output a lot... nonetheless, it's the best I can think of.
Replace Wandering Spirits.. He says it on the video, wake up
Bone Curse is mandatory for this build. He explains on the video that the only replaceable spell is Watering Spirits… wake up

Chaotic strikes should only work on hits, are you saying torment counts as a hit for some reason?

Wheel of Torment is weaker but much greater range. It's nice for mono clear.
2:28 one is torment damage one is fissure damage, the 2 nodes add different stuff :)
"More Fissure Damage" applies to all fissure subskills, which includes Torment :) Test it out!

@@20pointer The second fissure helps with getting Wither stacks up. It increases single target damage quite a bit :D

I like to hoard items that can fit many builds so my loot filters tend to be a bit more generic. I'd recommend building your own to fit your needs :D

It seems like Bone Curse is bugged and does not give the bone armor so you can totally skip that. Your adaptation is solid!

Eradication does apply to dmg to torment, I tested it a few times vs bosses and it def helps a ton

a node on chthonic fissure is adding multiplicative damage based on your added crit multi

Are u sure that u need that extra cast speed from the laddle? I feel confident enough without it and currently using just an exalted profane wand...
I would also go for auto bonkers + forked tongue instead of just area buff.
Exalted wand is a solid start. Ladle's best feature is the 48% more multiplicative dmg :)

Tier 6 is doable. You can take 1 point from the CDR node.
I find the fear on Wandering Spirits to give just enough time to cast curses and reposition without getting meleed by enemies. I really like it for a small layer of defensiveness.

what is the reason to put 8 points to Doom Herald? If you don't use gostflame you don't have any channeling skills or I'm bugging? Or it benefits veil? I take those 8 points and put into a defensives
profane veil is channeled, that's the main usage even when running ghost flame -- since profane veil is itself also boosting damage
Ohh I see how it works now..soo when you are in profane veil your dmg is boosting for that period

Yep this is still the one of the best ways to run Warlock Torment! Maxing block is an ok option.
Is this build playable with +3 on profane veil instead of +4? maybe having -1 point in increased area
Also what would you remove if you only had +1 to chthonic fissure instead of +2? Since getting rid of the possibility to blink is clrealy a no-go
Yep +3 veil is a viable option! When losing +1 chthonic fissure, I'd drop tombgorger or eradication.

At 1000c with some okish gear, one cast bone curse+veil gives me around 11k ward and i just can not survive in some cases, maybe its "gitgud" issue
11k decaying ward is nothing. First you need to be aware how long it till CD to cast your rotation and you basically need more minion hp to get more ward. But again I think from the patch it's not worth scaling minion hp, you give your prefix on all items, intead of damage you get weird rota... you kinda want to automate ward generation imo.
@@divinityai i was getting 6-7k right after the fix, 11k is the best i can do right now. As for rotation, i dont think it matters, since in some situations the wards are gone in 2-3 sec lol
@@raymondwang6272 you need at least 1k minion health for it to feel ok imo. that will give around 15k ward, then if you rotate on cooldown you can get up to around 22-25k. but the problem is you are sitting in a profane veil rotation constantly which drastically slows down mono speed. if you can hit minion health on every gear then you would be looking at 30k ward which will feel really nice. the problem is that it is kinda hard to get that gear on CoF and for me it isn't worth the time. i'd rather play a faster build like runemaster that can maintain 25k+ ward, deal 10x dps and be a lot quicker through monos

The affix 6% more spell damage per negative ailment (max 8). Since warlock spits out so many negative ailments including curses, you have 48% damage multiplier.
Not to mention the other benefits the weapon has.

Just use the generic one generated from build planner, then tweak it as needed. Whatever he's using currently is most likely going to be way too strict towards what you need, especially if you weren't already stacking minion health beforehand

Need an advice here. Playing this build, but can’t get 40 stacks of ignite on myself. Cast speed 105%. Auto clicking spirit plague, but still 34-35 stacks only? What could be the reason?
your not fully spec'd into exsanguination probably, i had the same happen and noticed you need atleast 4 points in it to get to 40 stacks

Bone Prison summons minions which get eaten by vampiric pool node and their HP grants us more ward :)
sir, why we need minion health option on gear ?
When you cast Bone Curse you get these "prison segments" with 3000 HP. Minion Health raises that LP higher. When you cast Profane Veil you "consume" the prison segments who count as minions and translate 4% of their HP into your ward. So the higher you the minion health stat, the more ward you consume out of the bone prison segments.
Why would you go Grand Resolve of Humanity for 20% instead of getting Grand Dream of Eterra with 75% Necro resist? Im really confused about that
It's a tradeoff.
55% additional necrotic res is ~18 ward per second from the helm, ~33 ward per spirit eaten from Profane Veil-Seance, and ~5% more dmg from Chthonic Fissure-Twisted Waves when you have up to 1k% necrotic res in gg gear. The lower your necrotic res is, the more % damage you'll get from 55% additional necrotic res.
Contrast that with up to 120% additional resists spread across your other resists granting you 12-20% dmg reduction if not overcapped. If your resists are overcapped, you'll get less value from the 20% all res.

RM Sparks is probably tankier. Not sure about dmg tbh. Might be similar once both are minmaxed.

Twisted heart is just really hard to farm with high LP so I don't recommend it
from what level can I start using this set up ?
I would start using torment as early as possible. You just skip the belt+glove+spiritplague interaction until you have that full combo. And use a different wand until you get that combo online.
2k minion health is WILD! this gear is insanely good.
yea this is BIS gear, not my actual gear. I'm only at ~1k minion hp after missing a ton of crafts sadly. Still working on some upgrades.

yep, torment scales incredibly well without any uniques.

What do you do when you have too much cast speed and pestilence is bugged? remove some talents?
I find that the cast speed being high is more important than the pestilence stacks. We need to get to 40 self-ignite stacks ASAP.
