If you are wondering why I am seeing square binocular vision while yours has a rounded mask around it, install OpenXR Toolkit, then in the in-game menu enable Advanced Setting, then DISABLE HAM mask.
Thanks for this note! I was definitely confused by that. Having that feature in OpenXR Toolkit really helps with this whole thing. The script is working great and the recording in VR (using OBS) is the best it has ever been. Thanks! By the way, as I'm sure you know, converting the script to V2 was as simple as adding some curly brackets around each hotkey definition. I looked up how to do a V1 to V2 conversion and found a tool that did the conversion for me so that I can have just AHK V2 installed.

@fly_with_nick Hi - I have done everything you've outlined in this video and it works great. The only issue I'm running into however is that I use OBS to capture my videos, and when I use AutoHotKey to resize the MSFS 2020 window, OBS shows the 'left eye' section of the MSFS 2020 window... but it captures the top half of the screen display, rather than the center (which is where I'm actually looking in VR). This makes the videos look like I'm looking up at the clouds the whole flight. How did you manage to capture the center of the screen in OBS and not just the top section of the displayed window?

It is possible to set a viariable for selecting a specific monitor? In my system runs with 3 screens, monitor # 3 plays MSFS, but when I press Ctrl+F6 moves the MSFS to the main monitor (#1).
I'm loosing focus on the mouse pointer, is this normal?

Hello! Great!Thank you for this tutorial. With it I was able to stream MSFS in VR! I have a doubt.Can you help me? I have a 5120*1440 monitor. Which would be both resolutions to set on the script? I tried several but the MSFS screen does not fill up the entire monitor.My mouse have lag problems when I have my headset on trying to interact with buttons. I think that's because MSFS does not fill the screen...And I just can see my left eye when streaming.

Hey, boss! The script works great for me, but I'm running into the issue that when I hop into VR, my monitor resolution and graphics just go to garbage. I have dug through every setting and google search I can think of. Any thoughts on how you get your monitor image so clear?
I can't disable the DISABLE HAM mask, where is that, I can't stand seeing this binocular black screen in front of me anymore
I have a 3 screen set up thats 5120x1440. When I increase the res for the single eye, it only increases the black bars on either side and not the image itself. What res do I beed in the script to make this work?
I can't seem to find the magic numbers for the script on my wide screen monitor which is 5120 x 1440. Any suggestions?

Hey, thanks for the tutorial! I tried this just now and can't seem to get this to work. I have set up the AHK script and can get it to zoom in, however, when it zooms into just the left eye view port it's really low resolution (I would say looks like 800*600 - reminds me of what happens when you zoom in on a video editor to something like 400%). I am using the G2 at full standard resolution (4320*2160 @ 90hz) and I have tried a lot of different approaches to fix the issue (DLSS off TAA on, supersampling, etc), but nothing seems to work, I only get a low res output when zoomed in! Any ideas why? Thanks :)
Did you work out why it was low resolution ?
@@onboardsimulations8304 Sadly not! The only solution I could find was to use an OBS plugin, but this has quite an impact on FPS. Have you found any solutions since?
@@matthewward6220 I haven't, no. I'm getting a slight fuzziness in my recordings since my VR mirror is fuzzy for some reason. I made a video this week which is on my channel. Let me know if your footage is worse than what I have managed to record

@@matthewward6220 I used this video tutorial to make the mirror full screen and used OBS to record the mirror. Virtusim suggested to use a OBS Plugin which i'll get around to, but it's all alien to me, and I try to put daunting PC jobs like this off. I can't wait for the day when the headset manufacturers make it easy for us.

This looks great but I've spent the last hour trying to get this to work. CTRL F5 isn't doing anything, window isn't being stretched. Any ideas of have you updated this for V2 of AHK?
How do you avoid you mouse pointer going off the msfs window. When im sclicking around in the cockpit it keeps going off. Although I have a dual screen set up

The MSFS2020's window stretches OK, but quality in this really bad. The picture looks like in Mixed Reality Portal. In the same time quality in VR is great! Any ideas?

I have a 4k screen how do I make it work not sure? I trying to make it return to 1440 p and make the left eye 4k.
please look at the numbers in the two parts of the script and play with them until you get what you want. If you have a 4k screen, having a full screen VR mirror is very ambitious but you may be able to record one eye in 1440p. Just play with the numbers in the script, and the transform in OBS. I'm also on a 1080p screen, followed this to the T other than updating the script to the most current MSFS version but my recordings are as bad or worse than your original recording example. Any idea what else can be done to make the recordings more clear?
Can you specify what you mean by as bad or worse ?
@@fly_with_nick the recordings I’m taking are very pixelated. For some reason I’m not getting the same quality and clarity you are in your recordings with a stretched 1080p image

@@fly_with_nick it runs at whatever the default is for the HP G2, I’ll have to check specifically. I can’t remember off the top of my head and I’m not currently at my computer

How do you pick what eye the reverb shows?
It doesnt actually matter its just what the script is set up for. You can change the offset numbers to capture the other eye
Can you do one of these for DCS?
DCS has a built in mirror option that shows only one eye full screen in the settings
Hey buddy. If you don't already know, the latest aircraft and avionics update to MSFS (I believe it was released today 21.1.2023)broke Autohotkey. Doesn't work for me anymore. Test and get back to me?
