We are currently in a state of recession which will only deepen if we continue to be coerced into employing these types of stances against our economical allies.

The U.S won't fall, in fact its economic situation is better than China's. Many companies are leaving China. I think China should start worrying about India and less about America. Inda has more people then China, Inda's population is young compared to China's aging population. Investment is leaving China and going elsewhere. China did great and I expect it will continue doing weel, but I suspect its massive growth is over, as others take bites out of China.

@@9064peterpan As I said, Russia sends ships and planes down past the UK all the time, they are international waters. The same applies to the SCS and the Black Sea. Two warships in the SCS are not an armada incidentally. They are there to reassure British allies in the Far East that we are observing what is going on, but 2 ships is not an invasion force.

That pro-democracy activity is a serious threat to the Chinese Communist Party, because the CCP would cease to exist if China became a fully functioning democracy. What the CCP fears most is a collapse of the Communist regime and birth of democracy, as happened to the USSR in 1991.
So the Chinese Communist government is trying to reciprocate by trying covertly to influence the UK itself to become more authoritarian and less democratic - through supporting the Reform Party for example, and through infiltrating and undermining the 2 major parties.
