1. Attempted a violent coup.
2. Extorted Ukraine for blackmail on a political opponent while they were fighting an insurgency funded by Russia.
3. Didn't divest from his business interests during his time in the presidency, used the office to enrich himself and his family (I'll include more details at the bottom on this).
4. Stole documents, then obstructed officials from retrieving those documents.
5. Tried to pressure election officials to ignore the will of the people and fraudulently declare him the winner.
6. Ordered the beatings of peaceful protestors for a photo op, used unmarked, masked, federal agents as a force with no accountability to violently deal with protestors.
7. Was derelict in his duties in dealing with Covid, suggested injecting bleach into your lungs.

Made the Secret Service spend tens of thousands of dollars to stay at his hotels to provide security for him, elevated family members to positions they were not qualified for and permitted them to financially benefit themselves at the cost of America. Jared Kushner was awfully quiet when an American journalist was dismembered by the Saudis, as was Trump. Jared now has a two billion investment fund from the Saudis, Ivanka has patents from China, and Trump... well that would take even more time.

In reference to a possible coalition of the willing to confront China, Japan has dramatically upgraded its military capabilities with that in mind. If the US were willing to make an actual security guarantee to Taiwan, the Japanese would quickly follow suit. In the Philippines, there is ongoing improvement planned, but Japan would be the other heavy hitter. Also, Australia. Vietnam and India are also concerned and seem open to helping and have made gestures of support to Taiwan. If mainland China were a liberal democracy like Taiwan, no one would be worried about "Chinese" ascendence.
I think that last line is a good point, though I think there's some more nuance to it, primarily China's military build-up and fraught history with the US.

Foolish. Poland is spending 4% of their GDP on defense. Baltic states are spending heavily as well. UK giving 500 million pounds in their latest package. France is saying they might deploy boots to Ukraine, as is the UK. Germany increased their spending in the days following the invasion.
Europeans have committed as much aid to Ukraine as the US has (until this aid package if I recall correctly).
