They hit the power station engine room in Dnipro. They said the Ukrainians were planning to open the floodgates and flood Zaphorizhe. Now they can't open the gates.
He’s no longer pretending that he’s only attacking military targets. He’s said he wants to reclaim Ukraine into Russia and if we stop helping Ukraine defend itself it’s game over and if we send soldiers to fight Russia or we send soldiers into Russia it’s World War III.

As a British second generation Pole, I know the horrors of Stalinist Russia and its oppression of Poland until the late 80s. The moment I started listening to Peter, it was obvious that this guy knows intimately the Russian, its history and likely intentions. A geo-political expert in this field. Many thanks for the opportunity to hear him.
We in the Netherlands are in debt by the Poles. Especially those who fought in Italy and Falaise and Arnhem.

The Netherlands just signed an agreement with Ukraine to deliver technology parts for drones plus 200 million euros for building the drones. While Ukraine will share their knowledge on drone building and how to integrate them in warfare.

I like Peter he is not always correct, but he is not scared to speak his mind even if it is not what people want to hear.
It's an accurate analysis even if the future plays out a bit differently than predicted.
Peter speaks what some people think but are afraid to speak out loud.
He's very often right, but when he's wrong it's either thought provoking (which I welcome) or informed wrong if you see what I mean? All in, he's very much worth listening to in the sphere of good information available on this subject.

Excellent analyst.Intimate knowkedge about Russia and the risk it poses to Baltic states, Moldova, Romania. To be honest, Mark Galeotti's comments pale, in comparison. As a Brit that knows well the Eastern front of EU, I'd say his analysis was refreshing but particularly on cue.

The risk is the US bringing the world to nuclear destruction
A naval blockade is a declaration of war by international law. The country is not United enough like it was back during the Cuban crisis to support such a move, it’s just risking more than it gains.
@@Alastair_Adana It doesn't have to be the Americans. Frankly, it shouldn't be either. You have the Fins and the Swede's in the North with a British and French backdrop, that can take care of the Baltic. Those same countries with additional support from the Americans, Canadians and the Danes in the Arctic. Turkey and to a lesser extent French, British, and the Americans at the Black Sea and the Mediterranian. Europe has to face the idea that American military support is going away, was always going to go away. This is a European conflict and must be dealt with, primarily, by the Europeans. They will hang around for a while with Ukraine, and if things go sideways there quickly, they will be there with NATO. But there does have to be a shift in the Eurozone that they no longer can just focus entirely on trade and production, with the US shouldering the bill for military power, that deal is in its twighlight years and will be gone before you know it.

Yeah, It'll be great when conscription in the USA puts people like you on the front line. Right about that point I expect you start wondering if perhaps peace talks and redrawing borders is a better deal than playing dead in a trench with a drone overhead.

Trajectory is currently irrelevant. The sanctions imposed up until now will take at least a decade to recover from. Every month that passes adds close to another year to that.
Further enforcement steps like secondary sanctions and holding sellers responsible for where their goods end up will multiply these effects.
I like Peter's idea of a blockade though. That would have a drastic impact on the rate that other sanctions bite too. Plus reduce willingness to evade sanctions by folks that don't already do it for the likes of NK/Iran.
Ukraine joined the "Just stop oil"-campaign and they are actually accomplishing something 🙂

There is only one fatal error President Zalensky made and that not to listen to President Biden s warning that Russia was about to attack them..Biden had the intelligence and instead of listening to the warning he asked America to ease back on the Rhetoric. Peter Zeihan clearly has a wide-ranging expertise. His comments are, for the most part plausible, but he is definitely speaking for effect, and with a specific political outcome in mind. I don't click on his interviews without my salt-shaker handy.
If we stick together we will win this war. But if we lose hope we will lose, in spite of our overwhelming superiority. Times Radio, I've noticed, gives us the daily hope we need to continue forward. Thank you

At 8:05 - what did he mean that this is the ninth conflict Russia has started? All I can recall are the following six:
1) First Chechen War (1994-1996) - Russia's attempt to suppress Chechen calls for independence.
2) Second Chechen War (1999-2009) - A renewed Russian campaign in Chechnya under Putin, initially framed as an anti-terrorism operation.
3) Russia-Georgia War (2008) - Conflict over the separatist regions of South Ossetia and Abkhazia.
4) Annexation of Crimea (2014) - Russia's seizure and annexation of the Crimean Peninsula from Ukraine.
5) War in Donbas (2014-present) - Conflict in Eastern Ukraine involving Russian-backed separatists.
6) Military intervention in Syria (2015-present) - Russia supports the Assad regime against various opposition forces.

Interestingly Belarus is surprisingly quiet. I think Lukashenko is very afraid of a new public uprising as the one we saw a few years back where he was recorded seen landing in a helicopter in full public and running with a Kalashnikov in his hands. Belarus is very unstable and wants to break free from his dictatorship. So keep an eye on that region please 🙏

Belarus isn’t at all unstable and Lukashenko is quite popular, so likely no phony ‘color revolutions for democracy’ in Belarus funded by western intelligence agencies and people like Soros.
You already free Ukraine from the legit elected president - now look at consequences.
Even if he was willing, Lukaschenko is in a poor position to do much. His military is small and focused on internal regime security, not expeditionary power projection. He's had a history of oscillating between closer ties to Russia and emphasising Belarus' identity as an independent state. Better for him to lay low, rather than risk destabilising his vulnerable position.

Good host and good interview by Peter Zeihan. Mr. Zeihan knows tactics, strategy and Political Science. He could have easily been a successful General in a major global command. I was intrigued by this intelligent and interesting video.

Russian troops that surrender don't want to be POWs, but are asking to fight with the FRA on their march to Moscow.
Now... this is an interesting dynamic first expressed with the Wagner revolt. Now, Russian Free Army can recruit from the front, bleeding defenders. Russian Media seems to be ignoring the attack in order to prevent Russian citizens and soldiers from realizing there is a viable opportunity for change.
