I've always said PanterA has two singers. One just happens to sing though his Guitar. R.I.P "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott. [Side-Note] This is the short version cut for TV. There is a whole intro before it gets heavy in the full version.
"Dimebag" Darrell Abbott = Lead Guitar (R.I.P. 2005....murdered on stage by gunfire in 2005 by a deranged former fan who was mad about the breakup of Pantera, killed right in front of his Brother Vinnie while performing with their new band Damage Plan) Vinnie Paul Abbott = Drums ( R.I.P. 2018 , passed away from a massive heart attack ) Rex Brown = Bass Phil Anselmo = Lead Vocals. I've seen these guys several times. I'm so sad they're gone. I miss them all the time. I know it's great music because I'm still not sick of any song they put out. And I've been a fan since 91. Incredible reaction bro. Thank you
Vinnie Paul (Drummer) & Darrel “Dime Bag Darrel” Paul (Guitarist) created Pantera, Rex Brown Bassist, & Phil Anselmo became their singer. Rex sings the back up vocals and really doesn’t get a lot of credit for his good voice. They always killed it every show. Dime Bag was shot by a crazed fan at a show and Vinnie passed away a few years ago, may they RIP.
The singer is Phil Anselmo. From Metaire outta New Orleans. He sang for a band called Razor White. Used to go watch them all the time. 1980's ......Before the scream his voice was awesome! Then Pantera found him......still awesome....r.i.p. Dimebag....

Tragic, prophetic, somehow knowing what the future of Pantera, Dimebag , Vinnie held. Once those cemetery gates opened, they should have read the names as they passed. It broke my heart when dime got shot as much as the Rev, Robin Williams, Chester.... So much life and talent gone too soon.
On your own time check out the album version of this not the music video, they don’t start as early as you think. Long intro which makes the the song that much better imo
Just watched your reaction. And makes me proud to be a Pantera fan since 89..I love all forms of music but it nice to finally hear Metal get recognized...I'll keep watching brotha..
Phil Anselmo Vocals Vinnie Paul Abbot on drums Dimebag Darrel Abbot on Guitar and Rex Brown on Bass. And to Tyler Hargis point they were a glam metal band Originally..... But @ that time they weren't Pantera First was Gemini Then Eternity they then changed style and name to Pantera. If you didn't know now you know. Lol
Your reaction was great! Your mind will be blown when you hear him speak. He hits incredible high notes in songs like this, then you hear him speak and his voice is so deep it'd make Barry White shiver. Phil Anselmo is the singer, and that boy grew up in Louisiana around all the flash, glam, grime, and soul of New Orleans.
I still remember the day Dime was announced murdered. As a teen he was my idol for learning guitar. Like even from Australia, it was one of my most fondest memories, hence why this song is so memorable.
Dimebag Darrell - lead guitar, backing vocals (1981-2003), lead and rhythm guitar (1986-2003, died 2004) Vinnie Paul - drums, percussion (1981-2003, died 2018) 2003) Rex Brown - bass, backing vocals (1982-2003) Phil Anselmo - lead vocals (1986-2003) Dimebag was shot 12/08/2004 at a concert in Columbus, Ohio. His brother died last year, the drummer.
Been a fan of Pantera since their club days, in the mid eighties. Phil was still a teenager when he replaced the original singer. Young Phil could wail with incredible power. To this day, Pantera still stands as one of the greatest metal bands to have existed. Rest easy, Dime and Vinnie.
In light of what happened to Dime and him playing on a gravestone and the solo and setting are surreal yet it's all too real how he was taken from us. ✝️ RIP DIME 🎸AND 🥁 VINCE CFH FOREVER GETCHA PULL!! 🥃

So van how u like that dimebag was making his guitar scream like Phil absolutely powerful and melodic how everyone mixes together perfect. Pantera is the G.O.A.T.
When I was 18, I bought tickets for my now ex-wife, and mother of my eldest son, to see her favorite band, Skid Row, in about 1991, at the old Greenville Memorial Auditorium. I'd never heard or seen anything like Pantera. Imagine that. They melted people's faces. That was the first time witnessing a mosh pit. People were getting backwards body slammed, and getting carried out for split heads. We were there to see a hair band, lol. That was Pantera's first U.S. tour. They played almost the whole Cowboys from Hell album, and about half of their upcoming 2nd album, Vulgar Display of Power. I was in the right place, at the right time.
