Rogers was a beast. The two broken clavicle's killed his career. I remember when he was dumped by Detroit, and the Patriots, Bucs, and Vikings all had him workout, but none signed him. I can only imagine how bad those workouts must have gone. The ESPN story on him in 2009 was sad. You could tell he was still hooked on pain meds, and would never get healthy. Its really sad he passed away of cancer. My heart breaks for these kids that go from nothing, to everything, and back to nothing in the blink of an eye. They are always left wondering how they pissed it all away, and their agents, teams, and handlers do so little to help.

They might not of “helped” how you wanted them to but they certainly were not the ones forcing him to do the drugs and they weren’t the ones forcing him to make the decisions that led to him being charged criminally. It’s a sad story but he did play a part in his outcome.

Anquan's rookie season: 101 catches, 1377 yards, 8 TD's, 13.6 YPR. Offensive Rookie of the Year, and Pro-Bowler in his first season. Absolute Beast! Also wasn't picked till late in the 2nd round (54th) of draft.

Poor Charles, I hope he can just turn his life around and have a good life. He was INCREDIBLY talented. I wanted him to be successful more than he wanted it for himself. One of the greatest wide receivers in college football history.

Bolden's final rookie numbers were amazing for a WR. 101 receptions 1377 yards & 8 Td's. Finished his career with 1076 receptions 13,779 yards & 82 TD's. Future hall of famer IMHO. I think before Calvin should get in. Charles Rodgers showed a lot of promise but he had a broken collar bone in 5th game & then was a knuckle head who could not stop smoking weed.

Charles Rogers played at my alma mater Michigan State, and was an amazing receiver there. Was a total bust in the NFL after being the second overall pick in the draft. Only lasted three seasons in the NFL, but played in very few games due to injuries and suspensions.

Crazy that the Cardinals had both Boldin and Fitzgerald but Arizona decided to go a "younger" route, ironic Fitzgerald was only one year younger than Boldin in NFL years and Fitzgerald is going for his 15th (?) season. Boldin showed he still had plenty of fuel in the tank too. Salary cap just totally destroyed that superstar duo.

I've always wondered what if Charles Roger's never would have broken his collarbone in practice that year. Then the following year he breaks his collarbone again the first ball thrown to him in week 1. Then started with all of the failed drug tests. He had all of the tools.
