As you're watching this and watching Kyle Boller play the most important position on the field, remember that the Ravens made the playoffs this season. With Boller and Anthony Wright as their two starting quarterbacks. How
That and a stout run game from Jamal Lewis. 2003 was a weird year. Chiefs went 10-0 to start the season. Then lost in the playoffs and nobody punted. So ya know the opposite of Baltimore. All O, No D.
Priest Holmes and Jamal Lewis both had specatular seasons in 2003. If it weren't for Peyton Manning and Steve McNair one of those runningbacks could've easily been MVP.
It’s a shame these special teams specialists like Dante hall, devin Hester and even Steve tasker can’t get in to the hall of fame. These guys have contributed mightily to team wins and should at least be in consideration.
Jamal and Priest won a superbowl together in Baltimore back in 2000. They both had monster years the year this game took place...Priest rushed for 27 touchdowns, Jamal rushed for over 2000 yards.
We are at a point where some of these games have HOFamers which many of us grew up watching. Now we get to appreciate their greatness. There are 7 Hall of Famers in this game and one who will likely be one when it’s all said and done (Terrell Suggs): 1. Ray Lewis 2. Ed Reed 3. Jonathan Ogden 4. Willie Roaf 5. Will Shields 6. Tony Gonzalez 7. Morten Andersen Thank you NFL throwback ❤️.
Crazy how much the game has changed. 5 mins left in the 3rd and the score is 3 - 3. Like every possession counts in games like these. Fast forward to now and it'll be like a video game score. Miss those low scoring, slug it out kind of games where you knew the players were gonna feel a Week 4 Game all they way until Week 12.
Thank you NFL Films for uploading all of these old classics. I love the history of the game. My only wish is that we get more "bad" games uploaded where it's two really bad teams playing.

Kyle Boller's weakness was never playing skill, it was that he was a nut-case. He never could quite handle the pressure of being starter. They even got him a sports psychologist to work with him on words to say over and over in his head on game day to calm him down. He did have some flashes of brilliance when he came in for McNair as backup, and he almost beat the '07 Patriots.
Why doesn’t the NFL make all these old games available for purchase. They clearly have all the footage. Why not make them available? I know I would pay a pretty penny to own forever my favorite NFL memories.
crazy how predictable these offenses were -- watch how many HB screens they run on 3rd and 9+. basically the same concept every time, too, not any variation in terms of going to a TE or a WR. and it works pretty consistently!
For a 17-10 game, this was really entertaining. So cool to see Dante Hall's mom see her son score a touchdown in person! I didn't recall the result of this one but it was obvious, barring some type of fluke or PI call, Boller wasn't driving them down the field at the end.
Did u know, mitch trubisky, got benched for the 2nd half and still passed for more yards than the mvp. So the burning question is. Is it him or the kc D, no homo
As I watched Kyle Boller playing for the ravens, he just really had an up and down career quarterbacking the ravens offense. Dude's style of play was hyperactive ass gun slinger. For him to be a former first round pick, he looked best when he handed the ball off to the running back. Couldn't really manage the game to put the team in position to win at times because its like he over thought when he threw the ball which usually was a pick. Just a first round backup QB lol.
@@thamer5408 He's looking surprisingly good, bearing in mind his past injuries and limited receiving corp he has. Definitely a playoff team with him, but I don't see them in AFC championship game.
In 2003, Ray Lewis had 6 interceptions with a pick-6, 14 passes defended, 2 forced fumbles, 1.5 sacks and 163 tackles. This was a much better season than Peyton Manning and especially Steve McNair. Should have been the MVP, and the runner up be Jamal Lewis. Both had fewer votes than the mediocre young Tom Brady.
Kevin Harlan is announcing a great ass game. I try to tune into the games he's announcing because he makes the most boring games fun when he announces them. Give me Harlan over Joe Buck and even Al Michael's any day.
Kyle boller who was famous at the nfl combine for throwing 60 yards on one knee through a goal post lmao but couldnt hit wide open nfl wrs whatsoever former cal Berkeley qb before Arron Rodgers 🤣
Boller is throwing picks and there's noone within 5 yards of him Literally surrounded by grass and still passes to the wrong team I believe if the Ravens had faster receivers it would have mitigated all these picks, but it's such a waste of an amazing offensive line It wasnt just Ogden gobbling up defenders according to these highlights
Uhhhh hate to break it to you, but the chiefs went 13-3 in 2003. They weren’t piss poor at all. They couldn’t stop teams from converting on third down, but that’s about it. Nothing piss poor about them

It was a lot easier to carry your team with a strong defense back then.

Ravens always had below average qbs in their history other than Flacco and Lamar
Defense and Jamal Lewis going for 2k.
The nfl has kept the same announcers for so long. It's cool
Also nice that CBS and FOX have kept the same theme(s) for over a decade.

I was spoiled as a ravens fan in the 2000’s with great defensive players.
Ed hartwell
One of the greatest O-lines of all time.
And the ravens had a top 3 offensive line with brown and ogden st tackle with 700 pounds of moving beef

Dang. Suggs was a rookie in 03. And a Superbowl champion Chief in 2020... That's interesting.
And Super Bowl 47 with the Ravens also
The Chiefs were one of the only AFC teams that could consistently go into Baltimore in the 2000s and come out with a win.
Jamal and Priest won a superbowl together in Baltimore back in 2000. They both had monster years the year this game took place...Priest rushed for 27 touchdowns, Jamal rushed for over 2000 yards.
