I mentioned this in a different thread but I think part of it is that if your QB is passing at such a violent pace to begin the game, it's usually likely that your team will be leading by a huge margin by halftime, so most teams at that point switch to a conservative run heavy offense to use up time and hang onto the ball. The ideal circumstances for a record yardage total are a close game with two fast paced offenses against poor secondaries

@@Nextgen04 on pace isn’t an accurate assumption he would’ve regressed as the season went on
@@kevonsidek9737he would’ve been at least at a respectable amount of yards and level of QB performance. I think the 2024 season is mirroring the 2020 season thus far. Weak spots but dak is playing pretty good.
@mariosnum1fan Dak carries and gets all the heat. Not that hes perfect either but still shades of Romo. Cowboys quarterbacks man...
The fact that Big Ben did it four times total shows how great of a QB he was. Yes, he had a great defense early in his career. But during the Killer Bs era, he was winning games without much help from his defense
The Giants & The Rams seem to be the only two franchises in NFL History to have two or more QB's to throw for 500 yards.
That falcons game last night was crazy
Wow, NFL Throwback is on top of things
My Bucs all over this video 😭
Fabulous stuff thank you
Romo did it on 25 completions
Lol that game was insane. Still feel bad for Romo.
@@KingFloch88 why 🤷🏻♂️ he sucked in the playoffs
And still managed to Romo the game up.

Warren Moon was severely underrated and still is.
And I got a question why isn’t Nfl Throwback not at a million subscribers
Drew Brees is one of the best to do it, definitely snubbed out of MVP ⚜️
Warren Moon gor 527 vs a top 5 defense in the 80s 😳
Against one of the best secondaries ever.
WITH ALL OF THE PASSING IN 2DAY'S NFL 🏈 .. IT'S KINDA REMARKABLE NORM VAN BROCKLIN STILL HOLDS THE RECORD FOR MOST PASSING YARDS IN A GAME(554) .. SET IN 1951 ..
Boomer's day was definition of gun slingin......522 yards, 3 TD, 4 Picks
As impressive as this is, if your QB has to throw 50+ times a game then something isn't going right.
Running game shut down
Rip carr mvp 2016
Warren Moon performance in Kansas City against that defense was impressive
I don’t know if Aaron Rodgers has thrown for 500 yards in a game in my life
He hasn’t and neither has peyton manning
Matt Ryan threw 503 yards against the panthers, Kirk threw 509 yards against the Bucs, Michael Penix will throw 515 yards against the saints calling it now
The Brees game vs the Giants in 2015 had to be the best QB duel in history. The Saints won that game 52-49 in OT, because, on the other side, Eli Manning threw for 350 yards, 6 TDs and 0 INTs.
13 passing TDs in 1 game is ridiculous. And, neither of those teams had good defenses that year.
Hearing pat summerall that brought back memories him and madden calling games
6:49 44-66 is crazyyyyyy
Ben Roethlisberger had THREE 500+ yard games. The Green Bay Packers had THREE 500+ yard passers beat them. Not to be outdone, the hapless Tampa Bay Buccaneers had FOUR 500+ yard passers take them to the woodshed. Amazing.
Warren Moons spirals were a thing of beauty.
Damn Bucs pass defense getting cooked too often
Damn the Bucs gave up a tone of these 500 yard games lol.
Big Kirko wake up drippin like this
Not including Brady’s 500 yard SB game against the Eagles is criminal. Loss or not, 🐐
They forgot Tom Brady throwing 505 yards in Superbowl LII
That 12 of the 27 occurrences were in losses!
Because the video mentioned Brees and Tittle 7 TD's, another good video idea would be EVERY 7 TD Passing Game by NFL QB!
I was surprised I didn't see Larry Fitzgerald making catches when Boomer Esiason was at the Cardinals. I was under the impression Larry played in the Cards inaugrual team up until he 'stepped away' from playing in 2020.
You gotta love those Oiler uniforms….I’d say they’re in the top three all time in the league.
:34 That's a hospital ball just 10yrs ago.
I don't know what's crazier: that Van Brocklin's record still stands or that one of the guys on the list was the QB at Nebraska.
The fact that Big Ben threw for 500 yards 4 times in his career is insane.
Jared Goff 68 pass attempts is insane
500 total yards from qbs is more impressive, should’ve been the video
The Bucs being on the wrong side of 4 500 yard games is embarrassing 😅
The fact multiple of these are against the Packers tells us something.
520 yards only to lose to Matt "greatest backup of all time" Flynn
Also of course 3 of these would be against the Packers
