I have bought some running boards without the nuts and bolts. Do you know what size j nuts to use?

Why would you drill out the welded on nuts instead of just using the proper bolt that fits the already welded on hardware?

8 ft-lbs on the last bolts yet you are using an impact driver that delivers over 100 ft-lbs without finishing them off with a torque wrench??
