Every time I look for assistance on upholstery and hear your accent, I know im in good hands. You're the man!
You are the man! Perfect instructional video. I'm about to redo my headliner in my Silverado, and was worried about switching the color, but now I feel confident and going for it and having matching sun visors
I was gonna switch out the headliner on my car and I completely forgot about the sun visor being a whole different color, this is really gonna help, thank you 😂
Just completed my headliner and sunvisors, thank you for the education on how to recover the visors! I've never needed to recover then in the past, but I changed the color of the headliner this time and wanted the visors to match. Came out great!
Using this video as a guide, I recovered my visors on my '96 Buick Regal.. Turned out PERFECT.. Like brand New !! Super Easy, just take your time.. My drivers visor had literally disintegrated and shredded in the last month.. I used a plastic divider from a parts box to tuck in the material.. Worked GREAT !!
THANK YOU for posting this Video !!
Maestro, I did those visors yesterday for a customer, they turn out pretty good, thanks to this video. Gracias Maestro.
The best how to video I've ever seen! Being a DIY guy, I've watched a lot.
You Sir, are a craftsman. It was a pleasure watching you work.
Thanks for this informative posting! I'm off to tackle my Ram visors with new found confidence thanks to you.
Thank you for watching this video my friend stay tuned for more videos.
Master of your craft sir. I am in your debt. Thank you for giving me the confidence to do this myself , I will save money and feel proud thanks to you.
Thank you for supporting my channel and I am glad that you like this video
I've been upholstering for years and still picked up a few tips! Great video!!
Had a little trouble getting the long pin out but got it eventually, great video, thank you!!!
What a wonderful instruction you gave! I was concerned about this type of visor but I’m confident now. Thank you!
Just did mine and your video made it possible, everything was just as you said except I was a little slower. Fantastic DYI and keep on teaching the masses out there.
1:40 "If it is your's, you're already supposed to know"
🙂👍
ORALE! TU SI ERES CHINGON! I was going to pay someone to do this for me but after watching this video I’m pretty confident I can do it myself. GRACIAS!
I watched your video how to install new car carpet. And, you were right on. I did my headliner, two toned it. And then somethings here and there(Like you said take your time. And be patient) I did my sunvisors lastly. My 1993 thunderbird(Selina) looks like a new car. You schooled me alot. Thanx...
Thanks for the video. With your help, I just reupholstered sun visors in my “new” 2004 Solara convertible. The visors can’t be opened up (like yours) so I used your tuck method but left the mounting pin in (rusted into place).
You make it look easy. Just did mine with your help and proud of the outcome. Couldn't have done it without you. Thank you!
I want to thank you for taking the time to put this video out. I have a 2009 Range Rover HSE. After replacing my headliner, and my pillow covers with new upholstery my old visors did not match and replacing the visors was not a solution either because they don’t make visors that match.
I destroyed my first pair of visors when my upholstery guy told me that the only way to reupholster them wants to separate the mirror advisor in half and then glue them back together. That was a terrible idea because the hinge mechanism that keeps the visor up it does not work properly if you separate the visor into two parts.
Fortunately, I was able to find a pair of preowned visors for my car and learning from my mistake. I made a second attempt. The most challenging part for my range rover visors, is the semi circular part of the visor that clips into the swivel hardware, because the fabric will not stretch far enough to fit into the groove in the middle. I figured that gluing the material into this semi circle was the best solution, and it turned out good. Also, going around the support arm was another area that was challenging, but my solution was to create a rolled over and glued cuff and then that way the visor can move back-and-forth on its bar and not rub against the fabric.
What I also found that worked very well was after I had fabric covering the whole visor. I went around the outside and pinched the material together to seal it, rather than just tucking it in one side at a time doing this enabled me to tuck the fabric into the split groove. One time it pulled the visor nice and tight and I think it’s going to hold everything together overtime better than doing them one at a time, my scene came out looking perfect. The tool that I used to press the fabric in was a 1 inch round and spatula from the kitchen which has a dual edge rather than a putty knife, so it didn’t tear of the material ever.
Thank you again I would not have been able to do this without your video
Typo. Pilar covers
Thanks alot. Was so worried how hard this job gonna be but you make it look easy
Thank you for that video, I just did my headliner and it came out perfect but I was clueless on how to do the sun visor. Gracias
Thank you! I just replaced the headliner fabric in my 2005 Silverado. The only fabric I could find (locally) is a darker shade than original. I didn't realize I could recover my visors until I saw this video. I'm pretty sure I have enough fabric left over - so tomorrow, I'm going to do the visors!
Alright sun visors are easy then the headline r
So grateful for this video. I did break some of the plastic on one of my extension trim pieces, but it still works and holds firm. But overall, I'm very pleased with how my sun visors turned out. Thanks for posting this video!
Gracias Meca por este video.tengo un par igual que esas para hacer y tu ayuda es impagable.cuidate y una vez mas gracias.

Very interesting in repairing the sun visor. I inquired in ordering a new sun visor & was quoted $200 for one sun visor. I was surprised on the price quote.

You are a Good CRAFTSMAN AND TEACHER!!!
Thank you So Very Much!!!
Thank you so much for your video. My sun visor looks fantastic thanks to your video.
In the video there is no mention of removing the small spikes that are molded into the plastic around the edges top and bottom where the material is stuffed and I cannot push it in without tearing the material can I use a hacksaw blade to cut the spikes as they overlap one another, will there still be enough friction to keep the material from coming out. Great Video BTW
Yes, I am wondering if the spikes need to be removed as well. It looks like he just runs the putty knife right along the edges. I tried spreading the two halves and they don’t seem to open up quite enough.
Very nice! Glad I watched it, i know how to do it now!
Exelente video maestro

Thank you for my friend for subscribing to my channel
Video chingon
Nice work 👍👍👍😁
Thank you for a great film. When you put the headliner back, can you attach the headlight wires to the ceiling or to the headliner? Originally it was attached to the headliner, but seems easier to attach to the ceiling. Thank you again.
I left mine attached to the headliner. The factory used a really strong glue to attach the wiring harness to the headliner shell so I wasn’t gonna attempt to break all those glue points. My Silverado came with the snow plow prep package, so that double wire did stay attached to the ceiling.
Yaaaa I’ll find a new one on eBay lol if I take it apart like you did.... I would be lost in putting it back together , or even the new fabric lol it would be loose and floppy for sure
