John Walsh has done AMAZING work! I was in middle school when his son went missing, but I remember it like it was yesterday. He was kidnapped from a mall that my family and I frequented.
I think of John Walsh as the man who saves family’s from his own broken heart and pain and I love his hatred of filthy people he’s unyielding in this. I can only imagine how he was before this horrific nightmare he suffered compared to how he is now. It woke something in him to be feared by monsters.
I just love, love, love the work this man is doing. 35 years later and he is still going strong.... GOD bless John and his family....hope someone will take over from him someday......

First of all, I will say John Walsh has been a childhood hero growing up watching America’s Most Wanted back in the day. He has been one of my influences for his work in not only AMW, but also inspired me to be effectively an advocate for not only pets but also exposing what I call bad landlords that allows “no pets”. Secondly, as a broadcast journalist (as well as a film/Television producer and director plus a now-retired retailer since 2013 and now-retired webmaster since 2020-thus a good reason I am currently semiretired) since my career began in my junior year of high school on November 1, 1999, and after attending a virtual seminar in March 2022, I have confirmed that I had believed for many years… News Directors and Producers have a choice, viewers don’t.
I heard the daughter say that it was because she started asking her parents questions about Adam's case. She wanted more information. There were some details to their story that didn't add up. The daughter claims that John and Reve didn't want her digging into the case, and that taking her kids away from her was retaliation. I don't know if it's true or not. I'm still reading about the situation.
John I've grown up watching all of your shows and I admire all the hard work you put into keeping children safe and capturing these dangerous creeps. Even though it all started from the loss of Adam (May he R.I.P) I love how you didn't let that tragedy keep you down forever. You got up and said that you were gonna change laws and create laws that can save children's lives. You did what you could to bring many missing people and kids back home. John you are a true hero . So, just because he initiated a plan of action, FINALLY, to help missing persons, due to a horrific and traumatic personal experience. And has continued to help those in need who aren't being heard and who are suffering and desperate for somebody, ANYBODY, to listen and HELP, you think he shouldn't get paid for the work he does? Or that he can't do anything else to support his family, like doing joint health supplement commercials, that probably pay Jack shit compared to other advertisements. Its not like he's out there hosting a "reality" TV show, or doing a commercial for budwiser (for example). This man has helped so many families find there lost loved ones. He's brought closure where our system has left gaps, AND gaps left by the people who's job description is to HELP these very people! There should NEVER be a "cold case"! So what if he has done some commercials about health supplements!?! He still has a family to provide for and bills to pay! The system failed him, they failed his wife, and they ultimately failed his 6 year old little boy who was brutally murdered and mutilated by a predator. Do you know how many lives he has saved over the years by putting victims stories out there and by putting perpetrators faces up for the world to see? These sick and twisted individuals would still be out in the streets kidnapping, torturing, raping, and murdering innocent victims if he didn't do what he does! Give the man a break! Why are people hell bent on pointing the finger at everybody else anymore, DESPERATE for ANYTHING negative they can think of to say about eachother!?! Advertising dollars, etc. Beauty plays a part, as well as what people want to see, what people like, what people relate too etc...blond hair, blue eyes, white skin is what sells and has more "value" so it drives the story to the public because that is also what the public wants! We care, but when choosing which stories to tell, who gets the attention, it will always go back to money and which story will create more dollars.

Laura, it ran the news for 20 years and led to John Walsh's career as a crime fighter on tv. He was just a dad before that. Five-year old Adam was kidnapped from a shopping mall in south Florida in 1981. It was back in the dark ages of police enforcement and John Walsh helped establish every procedure followed today when a child goes missing. There's a book he wrote in the '90's "Tears of Rage" and a tv movie about it called "Adam" starring JoBeth Williams and Daniel Travante. His book is a real eye opener (paperback) and worth reading.
