I like how in this game when you first embark from Flemmeth's hut you feel like it is actually you against the world. I felt so alone, lost, and Alistair was like the best friend who was with you from the start, and hopefully always will be. It was amazing to sit around a camp and just have small talk around the fire, I loved it. Really was like a real adventure, so much to do ahead of you and impossible odds, a break around the campfire was needed.
It really was fantastic. The camp and character interactions really made DAO feel real and genuine. You came to care for your companions as human/elf/dwarf/gholem etc. They all had their stories and their lives were interesting. My hat's off to DAO's creators because I didn't think it got better than KOTR until I played this. (Granted, I haven't had time to play since I played KOTR many years ago so I'm sure I'm missing a bunch of good games in the genre.)
I fell so hard for both Zevran and Morrigan, and Isabela in DA2. Just, they seem like such selfish and uncaring people at first when you meet them, but once you get to know them, you realize it was only a front to protect how vulnerable and lonely they really were, and that just gives me all these feels that I can't explain. I will forever love them. I will forever romance them.

So get a dwarf, the most bored, tired eyes, and get a beard, and you're going to have the most awkward sex scene ever, or funny.

im only pointing awkwardness Male Dwarf with Zevran. That shit had me laughing for an entire 10 minutes when i saw that the first time. And that was supposed to be a joke playthrough.
I have not truly had a romance since Leliana that meant anything (I guess Merill came close). But the warden was ME while following games I was playing someone else, and anytime Leliana mentions the warden or they are mentioned in the endgame recap my heart flutters and I smile. To think my first playthrough I never even came across Leliana and in my full playthrough I had to endure a messy breakup with Morrigan, but it was worth it.
I'm gay woman, the fact that Leliana is bisexual, blew my mind, I can play a woman, AND date a woman in this game?! So there's this weird place in my brain where Leliana feels like my first girlfriend or something. She'll always be important to me
Why am I like the only one who absolutely loves Morrigan? I mean, aside from being really attractive, she had a surprising amount of character depth. Her speech about you being her first real friend... dude that was heartbreaking. She had an amzing impact on me that few characters from any medium ever had. Also, there's a girl I know who really reminds me of her (Thank you, God).

I am afraid to tell you that Inon Zur won't be the music composer for Dragon Age Inquisition. Without him it won't be the same anymore. Baldur's Gate saga and The Witcher 1 also have a memorable OST at the same level of DA: Origins. Just search for Dusk of a Northern Kingdom/Believe/River of Life from The Witcher 1 or Romance I/II from Baldur's Gate 2. Those are my favorite ones. Incredible games with amazing soundtracks.

I've only romanced Zevren for the trophy, never for a complete playthrough. My Cousland Female Rogue ruled Ferelden with Alistair, my Aeducan Male Dwarf Noble left through the Eluvian with Morrigan after finding her, and my Male Dalish Elf helped Leliana move on from Marjolaine... My next full playthrough will probably have a Zevren romance. :)

Inon Zur has to be one of the best if not the best game composer today. His compositions are much better than mainstream music in my opinion, and I find myself listening to his music more than anything in the mainstream today. What makes it so good is that you have talented people who don't have to look a certain way (pop star, etc) and they are able to make music that isn't produced how the music industry wants it. The result: some of the best music out there. There are other artists in the mainstream that manage this, but they aren't all that common.
Even though the engine for DAO wasn't great for making good sex scenes, I still really enjoyed how artistic they were. They still got nothing on Mass Effect's sex scenes though.
I really missed the romance scenes from DA1 in DA2. Yeah the fade to black thing is more PC, and some people complained it was softcore-pornish in DA1, but I thought it was very tender, this theme capturing the moment perfectly.
The Dragon Age series is the only set of games I have connected with completely. It wasn't only the music, but how I learned so much of the history in the game and absorbed it like I was meant to learn about it. Every character had levels to them to unravel and I never felt so addicted to something ever! Wonderful wonderful game!!!

I just finished Awakening and this song is making me BAWLLLLLLLLL omg haha. DAO is...well, the most amazing experience I have ever gotten out of a game. It's like reading a book, except you're the main character. Like writing a book. Being the hero in a movie. Making your own footprint in the world. Love the characters, the world, the music, the storylines...truly, it's a masterpiece.
regardless of all the "bad" things Bioware has done in both DA2 and ME3, I still believe they have crafted 2 fantastic franchises like no other. With great gameplay, great graphics but above all these, player driven stories, lively companions and environments accompanied by such fantastic music

This is how the romance in DA2 should have been with all the feelings. In Origins it felt powerful. In DAII it felt like an after thought.

Fucking goosebumps. I keep getting them no matter how many times I hear Dragon Age soundtracks. I guess DA is now forever a part of my life, not as a video game, but as an adventure... Such a weird feeling. Just sitting here, crying at the keyboard and letting my inner nerd take over.

I just finished Awakening and this song is making me BAWLLLLLLLLL omg haha. DAO is...well, the most amazing experience I have ever gotten out of a game. It's like reading a book, except you're the main character. Like writing a book. Being the hero in a movie. Making your own footprint in the world. Love the characters, the world, the music, the storylines...truly, it's a masterpiece.
regardless of all the "bad" things Bioware has done in both DA2 and ME3, I still believe they have crafted 2 fantastic franchises like no other. With great gameplay, great graphics but above all these, player driven stories, lively companions and environments accompanied by such fantastic music
