I'm glad you tried Marthy, it really does make a difference if you need straight papers for a special project!! now your all ready to follow along my next video ♥︎♡☆ 🦋 hugs my friend Donna
Thank you so much Donna, that’s really really helpful and useful too. I shall have a go at this and see what I get. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags
thanks a lot Cindy, the paper really makes a lot of difference, i still use the thin paper ones, (for some small creations) but wet them less let them air dry a bit then go to work on them, if they too wet they just rip ♥︎♡☆ 🦋 hugs Donna
Thanks for showing the difference in the envelopes. It's quite hard to find good quality envelopes, especially the ones with the triangle flap... most are the peel 'n' stick narrow flap. May I ask where you found yours?
Glad it was helpful Jennifer! all the envelopes I showed you were my Mums (crafty angel now) I would take a guess and say instead of looking for postage style peel and stick envelopes search for craft or invitation style envelopes, even card sets, Mums stash has quiet a few blank card and envelope sets floating around. Cheers Donna
I wonder if you went to a Newsagent or any shop that sells individual cards and asked them do they have any left over envelopes from the cards they could sell you cheap.
The end result of starting with ivory envelopes makes the huge difference to begin with. There is no competition. So what makes a good quality envelope? Price? Brand?f I always iron the finished products. It’s like sewing. Pressing is a must.
I loved the golden results from the cream base too Sharon, hmm what makes a quality envelope? from experience quality cant be judged by price alone, paper quality is important, if your using the envelopes to make journals like this, i wouldn't be so fussy if we were tea dying envelopes for general use, thanks for tuning in ♥︎♡☆ 🦋 cheers Donna
yes I have, i tried the loose tea leaves and never got a nice colour that would want me to use them again, so i have stuck with lipton black tea or coffee ♡☆🦋 crafty hugs Donna
You get great results with your tea dyeing Donna. I've not tried dyeing envelopes yet so will get some good quality ones and give it a go. Do you just use cheap tea bags? Thanks for the tutorial. x
thanks Maureen, i've done a few now I love the colour tea gives, I just get the coles brand or the cheapest black tea pot bags on the shelf, no need to pay for the strings dangly tea bags hugs Donna
oh i don't thinks so Tuesday♥︎♡☆ we'll always have room for a wrinkly envelope on that right page lol thanks my friend ♥︎♡☆ 🦋 covid elbow tap hugs Donna
It might be because i use it on low warm heat, so i can use my hands with it. off camera it is faster, the lesson slowed me down just a little ♥︎♡☆ 🦋 hugs Donna
Cheers for the comparison and all the time you spend bringing these video's to us... they always make a lot of sense... Hugs...

I iron all papers I dye. I prefer them less wrinkly.
I've avoided tea dying envelopes because I didn't have any luck with them. Now I know why! Maybe it's time to have another go x
Yes Jane, it sure is, let me know how you go i think it will make a difference for you, cheers Donna
I just put some heavy books on once dry, I don't spend a lot of time on them to be honest and results are good.

What’s wrong with wavy and crinkles? I thought that was desirable 😄just iron it it’s simpler than r the hair drier. And it gets super flat.
nothing at all, i love my wavy ones too ;-) glad the ironing turns out for you, it's a shocka for me lol cheers Donna
how come the air blower doesn't unglue the envelops?
very nice result but too much work for me :D
