The rocks were beautiful and yes it was a work out. The Rock Garden trail was tough! It’s a constant uphill elevation. The views would of been amazing, but it was cloudy due to some rain. The next day was gorgeous and we did this trail.

The lighthouse was amazing and glad we went on the second day. The first day it rained and was cloudy. This trail had plenty of benches for resting. I was telling my wife i need something more than this beef jerky 😂. The trading post was a perfect place to eat after hitting the trails.

Somehow I missed this one. Great narration as usual. 👍 We did it when the kids were little. They had difficulty getting up that steep are at the very end. I don't think it was as well maintained. It was super slippery with all the loose rock. Looks better now. Nicely done. 👍

Thank Takacs I always appreciate you stopping by and leaving a positive comment. The trail is definitely well maintained and super popular. It also looks like there expanding the parking area. The trail maps said moderate, then we seen people going uphill. My daughter was even wearing Crocs 🐊 🤦‍♂️. We made it and enjoyed the views. I saved this trail on the second day since the weather was better.

We followed the Light House Route. I didn't show it in the video, but people had a hard time figuring out which way to go up. GSL is my favorite trail because the scenery. visitors might enjoy Kiowa trail, the 3 part trails of Rojo grande, sunflower and juniper riverside. you're hiking along Cliffsides which is why those trails are so cool! if you're in for a challenge, try upper commanche trail. commanche trail has series of elevation gains. you can scope out the elevation changes on all trails app.

I just recently did this trail but got heat exhaustion at the top! Bring too much water so you don’t run out like we did! Super scary when you feel like you’re going to pass out at the edge of a cliff. The climb at the base is super difficult but keep going because it is totally worth it! Oh and bring some socks or close-toed shoes

    • @MrSTravelQuest
