Ty Ty ty ty ty ty ty, this is exactly the type of range test I have been asking for months! This is very informative and useful information for riders so they can get a clearer view of the Emoto/Ebike capabilities awesome work!
That is a noticeable difference in range for an emoto, I'm glad the eride did this. Looking forward to a summer video to see if the numbers stack up. That spread sheet you have is really useful and its crazy to see how it stacks up against the Stark Varg as I thought there would be bigger gap. Also I'm happy my MX5 doesn't limit the speed when at low battery, still went 40 when I got it down to 8%.
Thanks for the video. There are so many of these Emoto bikes coming out ,it’s hard to keep up. Kinda like snowmobile manufacturers in the early 70s ! I guess you know how old I am ! Trying to find a lightweight replacement for my Yamaha XT225 .
Thank you for your guys's tests and time spent doing them! I was interested in seeing how this compares to the 2.0. there's definitely a difference in power to weight ratio
i’m on iphone when i click it on here it says i have 7000 entries but when i reopen it on a browser on safari it won’t show my entries nor will it allow me to use my email
Super exciting video, ever since i heard of electric dirtbikes/motos ive been watching so many videos, hoping to get myself a bike soon and join the rider club 😁
I know the bikes been out for a minute but why dont we see the Ultra Bee on that list for comparison? Love your videos. Just got into the electric seen. Trying to accumulate some machines for the wife, teenage daughter and myself. Keep up the amazing job guys.
Great review! Glad you pointed out that the motor hit 90°C during the 50 mph range test. This shows it's running too hot at that speed and isn't in the optimal zone. I bet the SR model would perform better at 50 mph since its 25 kW motor should handle the heat more efficiently.
90 deg is only too hot if it causes problems, if nothing is melting and as long as the motor magnets are H rated (120 deg C ) or above which is very likely, its going to be fine. Did anything break or melt?
@paulhope3401 when magnetic wire heats up, the resistance changes in the motor. Efficiency will be lost. A motor that can thermal regulate more efficiently will perform better. I get electric motors are reliable but I'd be curious to see one after a 1000 cycles between 90C and 20C. With heat, wire will eventually become brittle.
Oh how having one of these would really help me out with everything especially getting places instead of having to walk hours just to get to some places I have to go. Entered as soon as I could. Great video as usual.
I’ve spent countless hours researching e-bikes and trying to decide what to get. I love the process range of the talaria xxx but I’m 6’4 and feel the bike will be a little small. Do you feel the mx5 is best bang for buck or eride pro 2.0? Or in your opinion what is the best value bike?
I visited St. George Utah from California December 21st to 26th. It’s a shame I didn’t get to run into y’all doing those tests. I visited Zion and Bryce Canyon. Awesome places
Hi talaria boys I hope you can see this comment, my birthday will be very soon, it will be January 27th and I have always dreamed of having a Talaria or E ride pro, I would be very happy if I won that raffle, I have never had an E bike, I hope you can see my comment, thank you.
I’ve been putting in my entires and although I don’t believe I’ll get the bike I can really use it. I’m having to make a new move. And with this move I have nothing to my name. I’m trying to get to work and make sure I’m there for my family. And this e bike would be the biggest help to me getting there. Hopefully I do win. And I love the e ride bikes. They’re seriously something I can use off road and something that would work in the country.
@Talariaboys It looks identical to the 2.0s (qs 165 35h). From the posts I've seen online of people receiving their bikes they are getting the SR motor (qs165 50h) even though the website photos don't show this
What type of riding do you do? I have a fully built 72v Light Bee X and an Ultra Bee R, the Light Bee is more fun on singe track trails and mountain bike trails since it’s way lighter and easier to maneuver in tight spots, and has super soft suspension like a downhill mountain bike; the Ultra Bee is more fun on the street and for bigger hits and higher speeds off road, it has way beefier suspension, brakes, wheels and tires, and feels more like a 125cc dirt bike than the Light Bee in every way.
@ I like commuting around town because I’m only 13 and don’t have any transportation but I like riding my bike off-road on trails so 60 percent street and 40 percent offroad
Nice meeting the crew on the trails this last Sunday. Happy New Year! Thanks for all the testing, it is much appreciated. Seems like 30-35mph is probably the sweet spot for speed/range. Hit up St. George for a 2nd time and did a 18 mile loop with my stock battery and TC500. Used 90% battery and rode maybe an hour and a half. Can't wait to upgrade my battery for more range and powa lol
@@freddytangen444 Yeah I've seen other videos of people getting their new 3.0s and they're hitting 40mph in eco and over 60 in sport. Something isn't right
Isn´t this really bad range? Petrol moped around 150-180km and petrol motorcycle around 250-300km. If this is all electric can do so far it is not good enough.
Its not 'all' electric can do, its just all that this particular fun off road e-moto was designed to do.... and it's fine for the fun use that the majority of people will use it for. There are other larger capacity battery E-bikes out there but, performance, weight and price make them much less attractive to most of us. If you want long range, buy an IC bike and this isn't going to change until there is a huge leap forward in battery energy density.
