We had already taken the stock wheels apart to scan and build the 18/21's well before the E Ride 3.0 was announced so sadly it wasn't really an option on our end. But even with the performance advantage that the talaria had the E ride still out performed it
Great report. 100% agree. I’ve gotten to directly compare these bikes and feel the ERP to be amazing, and a better value overall. Hope Warp9 makes some levers and wheels for these ASAP.🙏
Amazing how good both of these are out of the box. I got to ride both brands and the MX5 and I liked both of them coming from a Light Bee MX owner with everymod you can throw on it. I would definitely wait on the SR though.

Buen vídeo pero en realidad las buenas comparaciones es ir de serie las dos. Yo tengo desde hace 3 semanas la talaría mx5 pro y la verdad que en general es muy buena emoto es mi primera moto. Pero en si es muy buena y la mía corre hasta las 62mph la transmisión de la mx5 creo que es mucho mejor. Desde mi punto de vista está muy a la par quitando un poco más de alcance de la 3.0. En fin las dos son muy buenas pero yo no cambiaría mi mx5 pro. Saludos desde España
MX5 tip: Bring that rear wheel forward, closer to the front, and get a drop crown as soon as one is available, that should somewhat fix the issue with suspension geometry.
Suspension geometry is fine it's just the ergo's that are the problem and are easily fixed with 3" rise at the handlebar and 1" rise at front seat mounts.

How dosnt the mx5 have the power of the 3.0? Because whats on paper? My MX5 does a GPS confirmed 60mph. I haven't seen one review where a 3.0 could do 60. Keep in mind these guys don't sell Talaria so its in their best interests to say the 3.0 is better.
We built them at Charged Cycle Works by converting the OEM wheels to 18/21. No aftermarket wheels yet on the market. Give us a ring if you want to send your wheels in for conversion. We specialize with Dunlops on smaller lighter sizes for this application and to minimize the fender impact.
@ChargedCycleWorks You really think the 21/18 didn't affect the end range? Come on guys. You didnt even address that as a reason the mx5 ended up with 9%. Also you put 0 consideration into street riding which is what 90% of people buying these bikes will use them for.

We had to build custom 18/21 Wheels off of the Hubs that came on the bike. We are working on having these available for purchase right now. The 18" Fit perfectly size and tire wise once they were built
Comparing a modified MX5 to a stock 3.0 is pointless in my opinion. Huge wheels slow down the bike for the drags, ruin the range, completely change the handling and ride quality and are $1200 to add. Why didn’t you go borrow a stock bike for a few hours to make a fair comparison?
I don’t think it’s really making that big of difference.. especially with stock motor, controller & battery. Yes tires matter but it stills compares good
The wheels were nothing but an advantage for the bike on everything except for the possibility of range. Battery size alone the Talaria is going to lose range wise anyway, but putting the Talaria at a better advantage with wheels and corrected geometry made for a better riding experience and the Talaria still lost. So all in all even adding a $1200 wheel set to the bike it wasn't as good as the E Ride 3.0 Stock
MX5 battery is 20% smaller than the 3.0 which was pretty much exactly what was seen in the range “test”. Stock tires on dirt wouldn’t have made much difference if any in those conditions as these are the ultra light weight 18/21 tires CCW is known for running on the small bikes to minimize weight gain.
Guys when going over the specs I feel like most people don’t understand which one is better. For example I have no idea which is better jack shaft or the other type motor. So listing the spec with no grading relative to what is being compared against is kinda irrelevant for someone like me.
So wait, bone stock MX5 cost 4.7k but what was tested should be wayy more $$ due to the upgraded handle bars, direct mount stem, wheels and tires set. Yet a bone stock ERP 3.0 only cost 4.9k. No brainer on which one is better for the price.
V1 talaria was so bad it was unrideable, drastically improved in v2. But to this day it’s still stink big feeling due to the seat rise profile on it….front end still feels lower than the rear. Like a 2009 Honda.

The talaria always had horrible geometry, the eride just stole surrons designs. I wanna see a completely ground up build make the frame, swing arm, sub frame and jab an ebmx ultra motor in it keeping it light as possible. Thats some content i wanna see.

The sigma vs the stark ex would be interesting seeing as the sigma is almost a mini stark in how it’s meant to be ridden

Ultra bee is definitely a killer mid sized bike!
Put an X-9000 controller on your ultra bee for about 16kw and with a battery upgrade the sky is the limit…scary fast

I think Talaria is losing a lot of buyers with that beefy frame when compared to eride and surron and now ventus.
The esthetics and weight of that bike aren’t as good as the ones you mentioned, but man it sure is a strong bike!
