I have just got my NC750x Manual yesterday.... I think I will keep it for at least 2 years...
I'm a beginner and NC750x requires respect regarding the weight :)
Before I had a CBF125M with 120kg and now NC with 220kg it's complete another level.

Congrats on the AT. I bought my NC700x 11 months ago. When I was looking I was choosing between the AT and the NC. I test rode a NC750 at a dealer and then rented a AT DCT for a few days. Loved the AT, but the NC was the better fit for the 90% road riding that I do. The decision was made when someone offered their 2014 NC700 DCT with 12K miles to me for $3500. I couldn’t pass it up at that price. If and when the NT1100 comes to the US I will be seriously looking at it to replace the NC.
I just made a deal with the local Honda dealer - I'm trading in my NC750X and getting a new 2022 Africa Twin Adventure Sport ES DCT.
I should have it in a couple of weeks.

Funny how bikes keep getting bigger and bigger to get us to trade up. Harley is a perfect example. They had the 88 ci motor when I was growing up then the 96, 103, 107, 114, and 121 motor. Most of us never tap in to all that power. I think if I do go this route, I will get the 750 dct because it`s lighter, might haul it in the back of the truck at times. My parents rode a Honda 550 four all over the U.S But eventually got a goldwing for comfort. My main bike is a 2019 Kawasaki Voyager, very comfortable for me, just sold my Triumph Trophy Se 1200, have more back and neck pain from riding that because of an injury. Enjoy the AT. I went the other way and sold my Twin for the NC750X. Both DCTs and both excellent bikes. The NC just easier and more fun for me to ride on a daily basis especially since I knew I would not be going around the country off road.

I opted for the NC750X DCT because the seat height was considerably less than the Africa Twin.
AT is heavy for traffic etc…Nc750 carry weight downlow and come with storage and shorter seat…..so if city and commuting is ur thing NC for sure……if u want long distance and carry heavy bags and jumps, AT
Yeah I need four different motorcycles too. Three of them wasn't enough bullshit in my life, need four bikes and a car.
That was a big mistake, NC is not a adventure bike. Africa is way over weight for off road and not as good for a road bike .The 310 gs is not reliable if pushed off road and is on the heavy side is wahat I learned the hard way .A great adventure bike for off pavement needs to be less than 350 lbs .
$16 to fill and Africa Twin,, not long ago I could fill a Cadillac Eldorado for $20.

This is exactly how I feel... And my dream bike IS the Africa Twin...... Only I'm a beginner rider and I keep hearing people warn against starting with the AT lol.... I'm looking at the cb500x, this "nc750x" and especially the supposedly re-releasing Transalp 755ish? I think the Transalp will be the perfect starting ground for me but it doesn't exist yet so who knows. It's the most logical approach though for me, I realize that. Something that I can drop and not feel like it's the end of the world lol... And light enough to learn on with room for error. I'm 6'2" 245 so I kinda already gravitate towards larger bikes but I've narrowed my options down to Hondas ADV line-up.

In my opinion - NC750X does a great job on the road - BUT - if you will go OFF-ROAD - OK your Africa Twin is the better choice! ... have safe riding & fun! ... Greetings from Austria

I think you are right. THE AT used off road is for people like Brett Tkacs ( ua-cam.com/users/results?search_query=bret+tkacs ). Us mere mortals don't even come close to extracting from the AT it's full potential! I have a new NC 750 for road and easy fire road etc, and a sweet DR650 that is easy to pick up, fix, and keep going . One has to live in an area that allows for and is good for non-tarmac activities. Many places in the USA are posted. Therefore the NC makes so much sense. Another thing, going off the beaten path while it seems so MACHO and cool and all that stuff, can be a super dangerous place. From poison Ivy, oak & sumac to... fall and break a leg,...to... the criminal element.
I can hear you are excited about the AT, and that’s a very good sign.., and VERY important since a bike is a very personal matter…(an extension of the rider)..😊 congrats with your purchase.
I used to own scramblers when I was younger (started on a Kawasaki KE175 at 14 yrs old, then XR200R, and final bike XR500R), but I didn’t had any bikes for about 20 years.
Now at 57, I want to get back onto a bike, but I’m more interested in touring than trails (since I’ve done that).
The bikes I’ve shortlisted are the CB500X, NC750X, Transalp 750 (sadly no CC), and then…a used AT AS, (for the DCT & Cruise control), so I really enjoyed this video since I was immediately intrigued to hear your argument why you swopped the NC for the AT…
The reason for this, is that I know better since I had light bikes vs my heavy XR500R, which I didn’t enjoy as much as I did with XR200R.. furthermore I’m not tall (5ft7, and I weigh 76kg), but I do have the experience of handling a tall heavy bike, but I want to use long term, and I am mindful of it getting harder as we age.
However my new need is to tour (sealed and unsealed roads), and even the XR500R did not do so well on highways..
So I guess I’m still undecided at this stage.., my only worry on the NC is that it’s so good, it’s going to bore the sh@$& out of me…, and then we ALL know it’s really NOT a true ADV/ Off road bike..(HONDA should start with a 19” front wheel for the NC as a minimum.., and that’s why the CB500X is on the list).
I’ll appreciate any comments, thanks for the content..

I'm looking hard at the NC750X as a replacement for my Super Tenere. The Super T is top heavy at 600lbs with fuel. Too heavy for soft sand Jeep trails in Florida. Will I take the NC down those trails? No. It's a commuter bike that gets upwards of 60mpg, with built in storage. It's about 100lbs lighter too. If I get an NC750X, I may try the Givi windshield. I will take my Givi Topcase off the Super T, and mount it on my new bike....👍😺
I actually took my nc on some jeep trails, and deep sand. It was fair
@@adventureundone That's cool, but after 10yrs of OTR truck driving, my upper body strength is low. Downside of trucking...😺
